The Dragon Ascendant: NO SV: Welcome To Another Viserys Targaryen Quest (A Ck2 Quest)

Well, knowing Stannins that can be good, bad, or even totally neutral...

Fortunately, thanks to Cressen he has an excellent healthy mouth that can resist lots of grinding...
He thinks naming the academy after himself and making a giant statue of him in the middle of the courtyard is excessive…

Plus he's worried about who will become headmaster.

He thinks naming the academy after himself and making a giant statue of him in the middle of the courtyard is excessive…
Hay, at least we didn´t named the Academia after his extremely appropriate nickname... "Stannis the Mannis´ Naval Academia"
Plus he's worried about who will become headmaster.
Yeah, it is a shame that both him and the Harlaws are actually unavailable... So maybe Ser Davos?

Diplomacy
--[X]The Riverlines of Rivermen: Lord Edmure Tully has, in a very uncomfortable showing of Force… Demanded that he and his entourage of men, come meet you, to discuss matters of the State, Matters that he claims have been neglected since Aegon the V. DC: 70 Reward: You meet Edmure and his men, Rolled:D100 + 17 + 17 => 92

You had not expected the Lord Edmure Tully to be a political theorist,

There is also the fact that what he is asking for was, if it were against any other King, Treason.

Wait, how many Parliament have been founded in the Riverlands before the conquest? Six? This is news to you.

(Continued in The Powerful Plesentreis, of Parlimentarian Politics)

--[X] Befriending the Banners: The Crownlands are unique among the kingdoms, in that they answer directly to you. Although these lords can be eccentric, they are yours, and you want them loyal. You'll host a series of feasts and worth through inviting them all, to listen to their concerns and assure them of your goodwill. DC 45. Reward: improved relations, information. (30,000 Dr) Rolled:D100 + 17 + 17 => 65

To describe some of the more… eccentric bunch of the vessels in the World, would be an understatement.

But the fact you found Alyn Velyreon wearing armor and beating the shit out of criminals with the Dragon Knight… was entertaining.

To say nothing of this so-called Justice League, which your people were supporting financially… without your permission. "Sandor… this is your fault." You blamed the Hound.

"I have nothing to do with this." He swore as he started to smile at The Dragon Knight standing over the city.

"Yes, you do. You started this madness."

"Under your orders. To deal with my brother."

"Yes, but I didn't expect the crownlands to find it entertaining enough to fund a vigilante that undermines my authority!

(Continued in: The Dragon Knight)

-[X] Martial
--[X] A Gold Standard: The City Watch is poorly equipped, poorly trained, and you're as likely to find an extortionist as you are a good man in the uniform. Bywater would like your permission (and the aid of the Master of War) to clean house, get proper men, proper equipment and proper training. DC 60. Reward: increase quality of the Gold Cloaks to Trained/Full Strength. (15,000 Dr) (locks for 2 rounds) Rolled: D100 + 25 + 36 => 144

You are starting to think that the symbol did more to help the Gold Cloaks than it did to them.

(Continued in: The Dragon Knight)

--[X] Master and Commander: Stannis has been toying with the notion of a naval academy, an institution to teach sailing and sea-based warfare to any who would learn. The idea has its merits, and it also has its detractors. DC 65. Reward: begin instituting Stannis' naval academy (30,000 Dr)* (locks for 2 rounds) Rolled: D100 + 25 + 36 => 136

The Statue of Lord Stannis was perhaps, far too large, ornate, and even a bit presumptuous of the man himself. He was Bald, clear, even with the statue maker wanting to put more hair on it, Lord Stannis did not wish to embellish himself. His beard was at his own personal regulation, one he would hope to make into a clear fact within his academy. His clothing was simple officer clothes, one that reminded you more of Lord Davos, than of Lord Stannis. A curious, and deliberate choice.

You knew, if he had his way, and you were not wishing for a statue of the man himself, he would have destroyed it. With his own hands if need be.

"You made a statue of me, and placed it on quite the prominence on the square," Stannis stated as you were given the tour of the new academy. The Academy itself was still under construction, and with many of the latest and more modern architecture. Braavosi, as Stannis decided, as the academy itself would not be a fortress. It would be more a palace, a school, a place of Learning for the future officers of the Westerosi Navy. "You should not have done that. It will encourage Vandlism."

"It will encourage tradition, lord Stannis, and I know for a fact you love tradition as much as you love the Law." You stated.

Smooth, and unless you saw a contradiction in the old age of your master of War, you would not see it here. "It is far too…" Stannis was at a loss for words.

"I'm very surprised that you would go against everything I asked for."

Stannis was silent. "I despise your wit."

"You know you enjoy it more than anything else." You replied.

Reward: The Stannis Baratheon Naval Academy has been founded.

Expenditure increased by 100,000.

Lord Stannis is not happy that you gave him the statue, and named it after him.

-[X] Stewardship.
--[X] Renegotiate Debts (The Westerlands): The Usurper left the realm in perilous financial states, and one way to amend this is to renegotiate the terms of the loan for the Westerlands. Lord Tyrion is a good man, according to Jaime… but also a shrewd man, and despite his stature, he is very much a political master. And a drunk. Either way, it's going to be a good time. DC 65. Reward: possibly renegotiate interest rate and/or repayment schedule. (10,000 Dr) Rolled: D100 + 20 + 9 => 90

--[X] Nests Within Nests: You can't tell much, given the state of recordkeeping towards the end and the nature of those involved, but you do at least know that Petyr Baelish had a bizarre web of influence and ownerships, the boundaries of which even you couldn't begin to guess at. You'll task Ser Harry with trying to disentangle this Meereenese knot. DC 80. Reward: Baelish's 'ledger' becomes comprehensible, a more complete picture of finances and assets gained. (17,500 Dr) (locks for two rounds) Rolled: D100 + 20 + 9 => 90

"What do you mean that he has siphoned millions of Dragons to Braavos?"

"The good news is… We've stopped that."

"The Badnews?" You asked.

"Well… Almost every coin has already left Westeros."

Your eye twitched. "And Littlefinger?"

Lord Tyrell was not smart enough to look scared. "We know his location."

(Continued in: The Littlest Titan)
-----------------------------------------------------------------

-[X]Intrigue
--[X] Sins of the Father: Your father's last mad plan never came to fruition, but it left a lot of wildfire scattered around the city, and Jaime doesn't know the locations of all the caches. You'll start trying to quietly track down a paper trail or anyone who knows of something strange. DC 75. Reward: locate the lost wildfire caches. (5,000 Dr) (This project must succeed 3 times to be completed) Rolled: D100 + 32 + 17 => 64

Jaime was concerned.

"Someone has moved the Wildfire. And I'm afraid that the Pyromancer isn't talking."

That was concerning.

Failure:

Someone has moved the Wildfire. Whether they are still in the city, or out of it, is something you do not know.

-------------------------------
--[X] The Lonely Dragons: At the moment, the entirety of House Targaryen consists of you and your infant child, your sister, and your nephew. Is it possible that there's more family out there? Your father and brother may have had bastards, and who knows how many female relatives married into other families? Your knowledge of your family tree is woefully incomplete, and you would know more. DC 50/75/100. Reward: learn more about the branches of the Targaryen family, ??? (15,000 Dr) Rolled: D100 + 32 + 17 => 100

Lord Stark looked at you. "We need to talk."

"Is it about my bastard Children?" You asked as you looked out to the east, towards the two children that were enslaved by the Volantine.

"No… Your Brothers, and your Fathers."

(Continued in: The White Dragon, and the Chained)

-------------------------------------------
-[X] Learning
--[X]The Press of Printing: The Citidel lay claim to something that they say will, revolutionize the world and the advancement of Knowledge and Security of the Citadel as an Instatution. But of course you need…to see it for yourself. DC: 65, Reward: You learn of this Lettering Press and see it for yourself. And it's creator. (2,000 DR) Rolled: D100 + 30 + 19 => 101

You had decided to fly to the Citidel itself, and you realized that the Maesters were not happy to see you.

(Continued in: The Box You Have Opened.)

--[X]Healing the Sick, and Other signs of Godliness: There is, at least after traveling the Free Cities, a disturbing lack of health in the City of King's Landing, and perhaps, everywhere in Westeros. Why is blazes is this health crisis not made another Summer of Pox, like the Great Spring Sickness! DC: 75 Reward: You look into a great problem in Westeros, a public health crisis and how it can be minigated. (1,000 DR) Rolled: D100 + 30 + 19 => 55

When discovering a great deal of… lack of possible improvements for the medical organizations within Westeros.

It all went back to the Citidel, and you were not happy to learn the answer.

(Continued in: The Box You Have Opened.)
----------------------------------------------------
-[X] Faith:
--[X]The Most Devout: The High Septon is not in King's Landing, as he fled to Old Town when your invasion and restoration came and has been operating there for the last two years. You now wish to remind him, that while there was a civil war, there is a King now. One who is not very happy with the current state of affairs here in the Faith. You need to remind him, that things are different now. Very… Different. DC: 70 Reward: You decide to put the Fear of the Seven into them. Maegor the Cruel would be proud of you. Rolled: D100 + 19 => 33

"Understand High Septon, and I say this as a man who quite clearly has the patience of the Seven themselves… That what you are doing is not only treasonous… but Heretical in the eyes of the Gods themselves."

The High Septon, despite having a dragon pointed at him, stood like he had all the cards. "Yet, you come to me, threatening me with a dragon. You seem to forget that there is so much more that you do not understand Your Grace. You are on the throne because we allow it."

"And what makes you think, I will just allow that to happen?"

"Your Father made it so."

WHAT!?

(Continued in: A Faithful Power Grab.)
-------------------------------------------------------
-[X] Personal (Pick Two)
--[X] A New Throne: You want to destroy the remainder of that blasted throne and make it more… fitting for you. Perhaps you may try to make a new one. DC: ??? Reward: Create a new Throne, and maybe infuse it with Magic. Rolled: D100 + 10 => 71

You have an idea. Hopefully, others agree with it.

(Continued in: A New Throne)
---------------------------------------

--[X]The Youngest Dragon: You have not been able to spend a great deal of time with Daeron as you wanted to. You want to spend time with your son. And be the man, the father… you wished you had. DC: 0 Reward: You are the Father to a son you never want to lose. Rolled: D100 + 20 => 92

You looked at Daeron and held him in your arms, holding him close in your arms. "I have always dreamed of you." You paused. "Well a child in my arms, cooing, and cawing, and feeling them in my arms, to be ready."

You looked back to Arianne. "Are you being paranoid about all of this?"

Arianne nodded. "There is nothing as being too paranoid for our children's safety."

(Continued in: The Family Planning, with Arianne Targaryen)
----------------------------------------
--[X]Try for More Children: Arianne is almost eager to throw herself at you again that you wonder if Pregnancy has somehow made her, not only more beautiful but also more… well-wishing to spend more times in the royal bed-chamber, doing royal duties. DC 0 Reward: You and Arianne, try to expand the family a bit. Rolled: D100 => 74

"Arianna, we talked about more children but this is a bit much?" You said.

"I've already planned the best possible ability to form a healthy Family Plan and not cause their development to be damaged by war, politics or the coin flip." She said.

"I don't believe in the coin flip. Generations of inbreeding and bloodline purity creates mental problems. It's been documented for years."

"I am loading the dice of Chance in our favor as much as possible, a healthy environment and good attentive parents are key to good leaders and healthy minds. Look to the Starks… they have it all worked out." She said.

"They don't run Seven Kingdoms…where half of the said kingdoms are run by idiots or people who want to kill us. The Other Half…are sane yet, realistic, which makes them even more unreliable than idiots."

(Continued in: The Family Planning, with Arianne Targaryen)

-[X] Daenerys Targaryen
--[X]The Dragon and the Lion: Your sister has been spending quite a bit of time with Lord Tywin Lannister. This would not be unusual if it were not for the fact that you do not trust Lord Tywin at all in any way… whatsoever. But she wished to learn Politics from the Best, and there is no one better, than Lord Tywin Lannister. DC: 60 Reward: Dany and Tywin learn from one another. And you cringe at how much Dany, Arya and Tywin complement each other. Rolled: D100 => 94+20+10=124

There are many things that do not concern you.

Lord Tywin being fatherly is not one of them. You are very concerned.

(Continued in: The Lion and the Dragon)

X]Aegon Targaryen
--[X]The Case of a Dragon, and a City: You are starting to think that whenever it comes to the second in line of the Iron Throne, and in this city, you start to think that things will go mad. Like there are reports of a man in armor, jumping around at night, beating up criminals. Egg, do you know anything about this? DC: 40 Reward: You send Egg to investigate this strange occurrence. Rolled: D100 => 56+10=66

You were very happy when you saw Aegon in the Armor.

"Trying to throw me off the Scent with Jon was a good idea, if only you thought ahead that he answers to me."

Aegon looked at the armor. "I can explain… also this isn't the worst thing you've caught me doing?"

You facepalmed. He was an idiot. "Using the Blackfyre sigel? REALLY!"

"To be fair…they are too dead to care or complain."

(Continued in: The Dragon Knight)

-[X] Garret of Saltpans
--[X] Settling Accounts: Once upon a time, you had to flee your home in Braavos, thanks to the amorality of the servant's Ser Willem Darry had hired. You are very much now in a position to reclaim what was lost (as can be, anyhow) and to have Garret exact some petty revenge. It would be unbecoming for a King of Westeros to stoop so low, but hey – that's what Tigaros is for. Intrigue, DC 35. Reward: reclaimed items lost from Ser Willem's home, sweet sweet vengeance, ??? (5,000 Dr) Rolled:D100 => 87+9=96

Garret's letter was short.

"Despite the worlds best efforts, they are all dead. I also found the other item you were looking for."

You smiled. She would be happy.

Result: +1,000 Dr from reclaimed materials, including two childrens' cloaks embroidered with the Targaryen dragon by your mother's hand (that you're saving for your children when they're old enough). House Darry is confused but grateful to this unknown Consortium. Your vengeance is sated at long last. And you're going to surprise Dany with the red door from Ser Willem's home for her chambers.

-[X] The Kingsguard
--[X] Brothers and Sisters: It has not escaped notice that an informal Queensguard has coalesced around your wife, Arianne. You will formalize this arrangement, and work with Ser Jaime to smooth over whatever vocal objections arise to armed women being legitimized by the Crown. Diplomacy, DC 60(Jaime & Viserys). Reward: Queensguard established, some traditionalist feathers ruffled (unlocks future vote bloc to recruit members) Rolled: D100 => 78+15+17+10=113

You were finally able to assemble the King's Guard… well Queens guard.

Now just to build it.

(Continued in: Assembling the Amazons)

-[X] The Sand Snakes
--[X] Task them to Arianne full-time (lowers DC of Brothers and Sisters by 15)

-[X] Arianne Martell
--[X]Another in the Chamber: Arianne looked quite ready to scream when you saw her and Teyne. Well not exactly surprising, but seeing the two of them nacked, and Teyne quite eagerly attacked to your wives… No there is no need to go there in detail, despite you seeing it happen before, with other women. But you were very surprised nonetheless. Mostly for the lack of warning, and tact. DC: 20 Reward: You and Arianne talk to each other about, adding another into this relationship. Especially because King's Landing isn't Dorne, and not everyone has good memories of a King having a mistress. The name Blackfyre gets thrown around quite a bit when that happens. Rolled: D100 => 100 | natural 100: 1

"Arianne, I do have to ask… Why is Teyne here? With our family planning sessions being rather intimate and personal."

"She's here to help." She replied.

You frowned. "How is she going to help?"

"I want you to take her as your mistress, and legitimize her children when they are born as part of the family."

The name Blackfyre screamed in your head. "How is this safe and sane family planning! Are you trying to start a civil war when I die!"

"Do you want your family to die out if there is a plauge? Besides, if we follow the plan, they will think they are mine and we only have to do with the usual family drama."

You are starting to fear your wife for the completeness of her Dornish family planning. Who the hell gave her this idea! Oberyn!

(Continued in: The Family Planning, with Arianne Targaryen)

-[X]Jacelyn Bywater:
--[X]The Boys in Gold: These boys are nothing but up jumped citizens and stableboys, men who are not trained for this kind of work. But they do good work anyway, whatever the price. DC: 0 Reward: You hear the Reports of the Men in Gold, and how they fight scum in the city, and maybe find one man who can help. Rolled: D100 => 98

You are starting to think that these new boys are entirely too competent at their job.

Or maybe they were inspired to be the good lads they knew they were.

Or maybe they only have to work only the day shift full arse instead of half arsing the Night and Day Shift.

Well, at least the paperwork was easier on you now.

Now if you only you had the authority to make that Dragon Knight a Contractor full time.

Reward: The Boy's in Gold rise from mediocrity to something resembling a decent guard.

They are now Trained.

-[X] Sandor Clegane:
--[X]All The King's Men: Sandor, help the Kingsguard for a bit, I am in need of all the swords I can get. (Add a +10 to all Kingsguard Action.)

Disaster Roll:D100 => 90 #Disaster Roll
Special Event Roll:D100 => 3 #Special Event Roll

"We have news from the East…"

"What?" You asked as you tried to look concerned, but after too many stupid rumors from the east, you were tired of it.

"It's Lord Baelish, Your Grace. He just became Sealord of Braavos, unanimously."

You froze. "Come again?"

(Continued in: The Littlest Titan)

AN: Enjoy.

I decide to make a lot of interludes.

Blame the rolls.

But also, they will be managble, instead of huge hulking monsters.

"It's Lord Baelish, Your Grace. He just became Sealord of Braavos, unanimously."

Well the fact he is a traitor and stole millions of gold dragons should at least make it easier for us to motivate our vassals to move against him even though we said we would keep out of the East.

In fact we should immediatly embargo or put heavy tarifs on trade good from Braavos.

Just one problem with that.

The Iron Bank still controls all the debt of our vessels, we only paid off our own debt.

Also, GODDAMMIT...we had so much Success, but the Failures REALLY sting.

Well, looks like an all-out War against the Faith is now inevitable.

"It's Lord Baelish, Your Grace. He just became Sealord of Braavos, unanimously."

...well, S***

And considering how he won, doesn't seems there would be too many individuals willing to "take him out" in Braavos...

THe faith is not stupid enough to risk starting a civil war when we have a lot of support and dragons.

They are however, very much about to do some very good powermoves.
..well, S***

And considering how he won, doesn't seems there would be too many individuals willing to "take him out" in Braavos...
Considering he literally stole millions from the throne, put us in a very precarious financial situation that would make Braavos very wealthy and powerful, and fed Roberts paranoia where he basically tried to commit genocide on the Valyrians in WEsteros (the only group of people who could conceivably hatch dragons to their knowledge), and then just ran home to be a conquering hero and became Sealord?

Yeah, littlefinger just pulled one of the greatest espionage operation in the history of the world, and then is rewarded for it.

Gotta admire the mans gusto.

I will make a much more detailed commentary on the turn once I can get to my computer but I wanted to say something here...

Nobody wants a civil war... But the best response of to any powermoves they try is an old rousing round of religious purguing

Bad news is… you don't really have the religious Allies to do a purging.

Not yet at least.

Bad news is… you don't really have the religious Allies to do a purging.

Not yet at least.
We have dragons and several loyal armed forces under our command...

They don´t have an army (thank you so much Meagor), and most of the common people absolutely despise the leadership of the Faith, so they have no way of stopping us when we start to draw, hang, and quarter any holy fucker who tries to defy us...

We don´t need religious allies, only the biggest stick, and we have it

I almost thought that Velaryon would be more like Aquaman, due to the fleets and the house sigil, but Batman also works. Who the heck else is on this Justice League? Is Brienne into it? Beshka? Is Daenerys wearing a domino mask and everyone is politely pretending to not know who she is?

In 1000 years, it will be tradition to rub his head for good luck, based on human nature on our earth at least.

Like a bad penny, Baelish always turns up.

Well lots of good and lots of bad in this update. More good than bad, even with Baelish who Just Won't Die Already. Surprisingly funny too- even though I know jokes aren't the point of this fic, I'm curious to see how at attempt at Justice League heroism will do when meeting GRRM-grimdark Westeros.

Worse: the French Republic during the revolution.

At least they haven't murdered their king.

You'll love the Justice Leauge…

Or rather how much super heroes we might have among the nation.
n 1000 years, it will be tradition to rub his head for good luck, based on human nature on our earth at least.
Try less then ten years…

The cadets will create traditions. I promise.

Here is one thing to say:

Good stuff.

I'll be honest, I'd rather let sleeping dragons (heh) lie in terms of Bravos. Baelish has climbed his ladder, and I'd rather not disable the only real anti slavery free city in Essos
