"The world is engulfed in flames. The dreaded Abyssal threat rages across the world, slowly choking the world of its lifeblood. The navies have proven useless, and the Air forces with them. No matter how hard Humanity tried, they could not do a thing against the threat. Many believed that it was the end of the world. However, there is always a small glimmer, a single spark that can ignite into an Inferno. In 20XX, the Japanese Maritime Defense Force had been fighting a losing battle in a desperate hope to evacuate the citizens of Sasebo, when out of nowhere most of the attacking force was Obliterated in a shower of explosives. When the smoke had cleared from the sea, All that could be seen was the sinking remains of the Abyssals, and a Woman walking across the water. Naturally, uncomfortable comparisons were drawn with the Abyssals, and the woman had the guns of the surviving ships trained upon her. However, she continued skating up to the lead ship and asked for a parley. She introduced herself as the IJN Musashi and declared herself the soul of the actual Musashi given manifest. At first, she was met with skepticism, but as she explained herself the Captain in charge had no choice but to accept her word as fact. Afterward, she was brought onshore and was settled in. No less than 3 days later, another ship had been summoned in the form of a girl. The IJN Houshou, one of Japan's first Aircraft carrier, and one of the First Aircraft Carriers to be commissioned. WIth this summoning began the advent of the Kantai Musume (Literally 'Fleet Daughters') and with it Humanities counter-attack. Ship girls, as their name was shortened to, were summoned with a vengeance, and struck out against the Abyssals, taking back large swathes of Sea and restoring global trade, albeit under heavy guard. For the last couple of years, Humanity has been in a stalemate with the Abyssals, with the dread Princesses of the Abyss harrying Human supply convoys. However, this will all change, for while the Abyssals have always held the advantage in numbers, Humanity has advanced from their previous state of World War Two. And with it, they bring a new storm. And this storm, a raging inferno will arise.
"For every inch you take, every life you slay, you will pay. No matter how long it takes, we will take our payments. For too long, the Abyss has incurred uncountable debts towards humanity. And now, it's time to collect."
What you were doing before is foggy. Hanging out with friends, walking to a store, or just having fun on your own. What does matter, is that it ended in your death. And before you could grieve for just yourself, you were met with the silhouette of a girl, her presence near impossible to comprehend. "Welcome," she starts, "I am sorry for what you had to endure before now, but it does not matter. They need you and I cannot provide. I never truly was able to, and if the stalemate continues, they will die. You must save them. You are their final hope." And after that ominous message, you are blinded once more and return to unconsiousness.
(AN: Welcome to The Blackest Night brings the Brightest Day, a reboot to the Modern Kantai collection The Darkest Hour. In this RP you will be playing as a Modern-day (or Cold-War) era ship, fighting against the evil Abyssals. You will go from mission to mission, slaying ships and interacting with other ship girls all the while trying your best to save the world. This does take place in the original KC world, so you can enjoy that kind of interaction when it will pop up. The Character sheet will be as follows:

Ship Name
Appearance
Ship Class (Include Abbreviated version)
Ship Statistics
Ship armaments
Aircraft (If needed)
A small bio of the ship
You can also bring one companion with you, as long as you provide a character sheet for them. The Restrictions on the Characters are as follows:
1. You can only have two carriers across the entire player roster, on a first come first serve basis (Companions are not allowed to be carriers.)
2. Your Character must be from the cold war onwards (Companions can be from WW2 and beyond.)
3. There must be a wiki somewhere for the ship you are submitting, and you must link it in your Character Sheet.
4. Non-combat ships are allowed, but you are recommended to take a combat-oriented Ship as a companion.
Beyond that are the general RP rules:
1. GM's word is law. If you don't like what happened in a certain event, you can ask me why and provide a logical set of reasoning why you think that's not what should have happened. Screaming about it OOC is just going to get you a tactical Princess Strike to the face.
2. Don't break any of SV's rules. I feel that I shouldn't need to say this, but better safe than sorry.
3. Be cordial to your fellow RP mates. If they do something you don't like, take it to PMs. Don't make a hissy fit in the OOC.
4. No 'reserving' certain ships for people. If someone gets a ship that you or a friend wanted, don't scream about it.
5. Please put your general plan in parentheses under your post. While this is just a recommendation, having this will make updates come much faster.
