The Modern Sport of Tanking, The most popular sport in the world but, especially in the United States with States, Large Cities, even Corporations all having their teams. With smaller independent organizations that rely on small donations and volunteers to keep their tanks running filling in the. At the beginning of every year, there is a draft of sorts. With only the best of the Indie and College tankers are picked up by the State, City, and Corporate teams and incorporated into the existing teams.

But, that's not you all. All of you are the leftovers, those that for one reason or another weren't chosen by the more prominent teams and instead you were left to those few Independent teams that could afford to hire new blood. But, once again, that's not what happened this time. This time you all were grabbed by the same team. A new group that is hoping to break out onto the Tanking scene and, from what you've been told, aiming for the US Championship in its first year… So, with that in mind welcome to the team. Welcome to Thunder Company.

Name: Farrukh Babayev
Call Sign: Chicken Coop
Age: 31
Role: Commander
Tank:
Identifying Marks:
  • 'Display Piece. DO NOT USE' painted on the side of the Tanks.
  • 'I bought this for a dollar...' and a sad :( face painted on the turret
Backstory: Farrukh's family is a fantastically rich group of close-knit relatives and associates known especially for their extremely detailed Tank Museums. Farrukh himself hails from a relatively unknown branch of the family, 'only' modestly rich and with little pull in the cutthroat business world...and as far as the man is concerned, he prefers it that way. Preferring to ignore the business world, Farrukh is a huge - if new and inexperienced - fan of the Tank Championships. When his rookie application was finally accepted this round, he leapt at the chance...only to discover he had no vehicle at his disposal! Unbeknownst to his broader family at large, he and a few friends stole several museum pieces and joined up as participants.

Know your neighbors - The Crew of 'The Banking Crisis' (Semovente 105/25)

Commander: Farrukh Babayev - 'Trust me, I've seen the last act of 'Saving Private Ryan' over a dozen times.'
Appearance:
Comments: Financially loaded. Self-depreciating. Friendly. Refer to provided 'backstory' for more information.

Gunner: Giovanni Reverberi - 'I have over 800 hours on War Thunder.' 'Simulator settings?' 'What? No. Arcade!'
Appearance:
Comments: Farrukh's chauffeur. Has appeared as a male underwear model in his earlier years, continues to deny this till date. In a compromise with his boss, has agreed to be on the crew if he gets to be anything other than the driver for once in his life.

Driver: Robert III de Franco - 'Back when I was in 'Nam-' 'It was the Gulf War the last time...' 'This is a different RP!'
Appearance:
Comments: Farrukh's secretary and childhood friend. Avid Tanking fan and roleplayer. Regularly blows his very healthy salary on expensive - and highly illegal - roleplays and renditions of fights from the Korean and Vietnam Wars. The only crew-member of 'The Banking Crisis' to have experience before joining the team. To his credit, has driven multiple tanks for his exclusive roleplays.

Radio Operator: Daisy Peterson - 'My Dad called. He said I was grounded forever.'
Appearance:
Comments: Random Drive-through fast food employee. During their 'daring escape', the three stooges above got hungry and made a pit stop at a local fast food branch, where they were eventually arrested and had to bailed out by their team benefactor. In the whirlwind of events they managed to convince their server to join them in 'an adventure of a lifetime'. Miss Peterson agreed, and was promptly grounded later by her father who only reluctantly let her join once the Stooges agreed to pay off the Peterson family's loans and eventual college fees.

Loader: Frederick 'Fred' Peterson - '...And that, Mr Peterson, is how you load the One-oh-Five Twenty-Five.' 'Radical!...That's what kids nowadays say, right?' 'Daaaddddddd...'
Appearance:
Comments: Ostensibly joined after meeting his daughter's crew-mates to 'ensure some sanity' in the crew. Really joined as the result of a mid-life crisis and a desire to mend relations with his daughter as a single parent. For all their faults, the three stooges wholeheartedly support him in his endeavor and have taken a liking to the Petersons.

Name: Una Fintan

Nickname/Radio Call sign: Sheep

Age: 26

Role: Commander

Backstory: Born to an Irish family living in Belfast, Una was always a lively and curious girl. Growing up, she would go out to the city and explore with her friends, trying out new things as they came to her attention. She has tried many activities with varying results. One of them was Tankery, in which she was a complete failure. As a Driver, she was always somehow drifting on turns, nearly flipping the tank multiple times. As a Loader, while Una was able to load the cannon when the tank was at a stop, she was seldom able to load it during combat, when the tank kept on swerving in order to dodge shots. As a Radio Operator, she just didn't get the hang of keeping her Commander and team up to date with the information she was getting. It was only when she was the Commander that she wasn't a total failure. Even then, it was a close thing. However, this didn't stop her as she had fallen in love with Tankery. Rallying those who also loved Tankery as much as she did (and those she could cajole into joining her), Una joined numerous competitions using tanks that were available to those without one. While she never won any of them, she and her friends slowly built up experience and was soon placing better and earning prize money. When she had enough, she bought a destroyed Black Prince, a prototype tank at a sale. With a bit of work, she and her team soon brought it back to fighting shape and happily dubbed it "The Sheep Prince," painting an emblem on it's side.

Alright, might as well post this so you know I'm currently working on a sheet. (Edit)
Well...I hope this is enough to be considered complete.

Name: Roland Roger
Nickname/Radio Call sign: Thunder
Age: 21
Role: Commander
Backstory: Roland's lived in his home state of Washington living day by day. Never quite knowing where life will take him...Or where he'd like to take himself for that matter. Through ups and downs (Like getting held back a grade do to a fight) he likes to think he's had a nice life so far. Especially with his close group of friends which have stuck with him since practically Elementary to now in College.

Though it was rather spur of the moment for him and his group, they all decided to join a Tankery Team together. Riding in a tank that they managed to...Procure through a combination of luck and moxie, they ride into competition with hopes of Victory!

Now if they can just work out how everything in their rust bucket worked...

Combat.
Combat.

I'll be having you roll a d100 to see if your gunner manages to hit in the beginning you'll be missing about a third to half the time (50 or lower) but, as your crew becomes gains more experience they'll be able to hit a greater percentage of their shots. Basically, the longer the game goes on they lower the number you need to hit. Everything else will be narrative based and dependent on what your shells can penetrate and positioning, like if you're firing down on a tank with poor top armor, or the like.

Looks good!

Alright one more person and we'll have a full team.

Name: River Mitchell Nickname/Radio Call sign (Optional): Dynamo
Name: River Mitchell
Nickname/Radio Call sign (Optional): Dynamo
Age: 23
Backstory: River grew up in an outer Maryland suburb of DC, where locals mixed with a diverse mix of people come to engage in the business of running the country. Her parents were heavily involved in the local tanking scene, playing for the city, and River grew up surrounded by the trapping of the sport. It seemed almost inevitable that she would follow in their footsteps, and she did. Unfortunately for her parents's ambitions, while she loved tanking, she never really found the spark that distinguishes the great tankers from the merely good.

Throughout middle school, high school, and collage, River played for a variety of teams, school-afilliated and otherwise. She found herself in light tanks, first as a matter of chance, and then as a deliberate choice after she went from gunner to commander and started to develop her style. She preferred a more daring stance, hunting down opposing light tanks as the first step of reconnaissance and then deploying superior maneuverability and smaller size against heavier vehicles.

She was always good enough to move up to the next level, but not enough to really shine. The one exception to this was her last two years of high school, when her fighting style, developed in the confines of the Beltway-region battlefield, really came into its own, leading to success after success. That got River onto the (small) collage team, but she was once again overshadowed by her teammates, and it seemed like it would be the pinnacle of her career. And then she got the call from Thunder Company.

Tanks Chosen:
1. Stridsvagn m/42
2. M24 Chaffee
3. Panzer III Ausf L

Leyland Snider, loader: an old high school teammate, he dropped out of collage two years in and did pretty well for himself in the independent leagues before being recruited by River.

Alice Cooper, gunner: River's collage gunner, she stuck with her friend when things started looking dark, and the bet paid off. Pretty quiet. She contributed a lot of the money for the purchase of their tank.

Domonic "Dom" Carter, driver: Another independent leaguer, recruited at the suggestion of Leyland. Friendly sort. Somewhat sceptical of the idea that Thunder has a shot at winning, but had a decent job as a mechanic that he could fall back on if needed, so he isn't too worried.

Semovente 105/25 SPG it is then.

Although I can't find jack about my gun. All I'm getting from a google hunt is that the 105/25 was the 'heaviest armed Italian AFV of the war' and 'most powerful SPG built by Italy'. What few were made seemed to have been well liked by the crews and the gun was apparently also used in Bunkers. Tank Encyclopedia says that it could deadly effective at short ranges due to its heavy HE shells.

EDIT: Got the stats from the GM. Yeah, its not very good. On the other hand, it does fit my backstory that I wouldn't have a particularly good tank. :M

Should probably downgrade the Jagdpanzers gun to the L48 then upgrade it to the L/70 later

Ireland got three Churchill Mk IV tanks, but never the Black Prince. I'm assuming this is because it was a prototype. :lol:rofl::lol:rofl: Still, at least I have a way to explain how it was made for sale in Ireland.
