Tale of a Shattered Soul (Potter-verse Diary Riddle quest)

You want to risk looking even snakier than regular Voldie?:D
I want a at-will petrifying gaze attack. :p

Especially since, your proposed ritual has no human components.
We can always add a few hufflepuffs. Nobody will miss them.

There's a fundamental problem with that plan, Tom likes the basilisk as much as he likes any living thing, far more than he likes any human certainly.
And if we use just a bit instead of draining him dry? Might as well make him our new horcrux while we are at it. Nagini was nice, but it wasn't a multi-ton basilisk.

Neither would the Basilisk. Protective charms!

Silencing charms that only activate when a rooster crows, and only block the crowing of the rooster.

Horcrux indestructibility.

Other fun stuff!

Well, since we are a Horcrux, trying to create some while always result in recursive Horcruxes :V
No, that would be a branching Horcrux. Recursive would be when the basilisk is our horcrux and we are his.

I have the feeling we should add Fawkes into that soul sharing business, just to spite Dumbledore.

Is it ? I was under the impression that it would be the horcrux of an horcrux – and that just as fanfiction about a fanfiction is recursive fanfic, that would be Recursive Horcruxes.
I guess this is debatable, but I would use recursive in this instance to denote a horcrux that is part of a loop, going by the properties of the final object instead of the process causing the same process again.

It's just a shame that we are the fragment with the least knowledge about dark magic in general and soul magic in particular.

You are also the fragment with fewer neurosis and a better grip on reality. You lose some, you win some.

I wonder what would happen if Fawkes was a Horcrux.

There's also a fan theory that soul is split in even chunks when creating horcrux, so each subsequent one has less and less of a soul, as does body. Which makes us bigger part of Riddle than Voldemort, and saner part. So we've got that going for us.

There's probably some way to kill a phoenix. Or there would be more of them than pigeons.

I don't recall Fawkes ever getting attack through, so we have no idea if a Killing Curse wouldn't stick.
Or Fiendfyre long enough so even ashes burn.
Maybe our soulpiece would die the first time Fawkes dies a non-permanent death?
That's how it worked for Harry.
Point. Would be too easy otherwise, and no point in making multiple horcruxes. Also can't be caught, so experimenting while trying to kill it is out. Persistent Phoenix Phylactery is hax!

Random thought: Can we turn ourselves into our own horrorcrux? Like make our mind a horrorcrux for our soul as well as our body or something like that?
