Orb

As you size up the enemy forces with the Graffiti Robot bearing down on you, the pilot of the custom enemy Super Robot starts broadcasting on an open frequency.

"Give yourself up, Fugitive, and I'll make your death quick and painless." The enemy pilot taunts you.

"Oh, suck my clit!" You retort as you aim the Dark Lance at the upgraded Graffiti Robot.

The jet-black Gundam interposes itself between you and the Graffiti Robot while opening a comm channel with you.

"Mira, this is System ALICE. Dai-Guard and I will keep the Graffiti Robot and Big Horns off of you. You and your allies focus on the other enemies." ALICE says, with her Gundam gaining the identifier of 'Gundam Superior'.

"If you say so. You seem different from the others that Samsara has summoned, why is that?" You ask.

"Because I am not a copy. I am a survivor from a defeated dimension rescued by Samsara from the Interdimensional Void. We will talk more later." ALICE says as the Gundam Superior jets toward the Graffiti Robot.

You turn your attention toward the oncoming enemies.

Result: 10 Scopedogs lost in total (50 remaining), 3 Headhunters destroyed, 1 Crest Head destroyed, 1 badly damaged, all Fishbowls and CQC mechs destroyed

As you close in with an enemy Crest Head, the Fishbowls and CQC mechs rush to harry you. Before they can even get close, the Scopedogs open fire on them, getting their attention.

View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZbUz8DhEfg

Despite the relatively tiny size of a Scopedog, it appears the ammunition for their weapons is ridiculously overpowered proportional to their size-you see a Scopedog armed with what appears to be an SMG blow off the arm of a Fishbowl with a sustained burst that takes at least half its magazine, while a pair of Scopedogs wielding assault rifles shred the legs of another as it passes over them, the resulting imbalance allowing one armed with a bazooka to core it with a single shot. Alas, despite a surprising agility that belies their ungainly shapes, it rapidly becomes clear that Scopedogs are extremely fragile-one gets kicked away by a CQC mech and explodes after tumbling on the beach, while another goes up in flames after a beam round from a Fishbowl grazes its side, causing all of its fuel and ammunition to cook off at once.

You last see a Scopedog dual wielding SMGs emptying its weapons into a CQC mech before you're forced to focus on the incoming Crest Head.

Evidently the pilots of Crest Heads have better training than the typical rank-and-file Council pilots, as the enemy machine is able to dodge your initial burst from the Dark Lance and fires its beam rifle at you, which you find to your displeasure is much more powerful than typical mass-produced Council weapons as the Rose shakes.

"We still good?" You ask Yukari.

"We're fine!" Yukari reports.

"Okay, we're going with the Crystal Sword!" You announce.

You draw the Rose's Crystal Sword and charge at the Crest Head, taking it off guard. The enemy pilot tries to dodge, seems to realize they won't be able to in time, and raises the shield in their other hand. Unfortunately for them, you've already closed the distance, and cut off the enemy machine's shield arm before they can fully raise their guard.

The Crest Head drops its beam rifle and attempts to draw some kind of melee weapon, but you're able to cut off its other arm before bisecting the enemy machine vertically. The two halves fall toward the water before exploding in midair.

You turn to see another Crest Head charging at Mazinkaiser, a wicked-looking spike protruding from its shield. As the enemy machine attempts to skewer the Kaiser Pilder, Kouji turns and brings up Kaiser's arms in a guard, which blocks the enemy spike attack and actually causes it to bounce off.

"Nice try. Now it's my turn! FIRE BLASTER!" Kouji yells.

The enemy Crest Head is too close to even think about dodging, and so instead the pilot opts to raise their shield in a defensive posture. The heat beam from Mazinkaiser's Fire Blaster engulfs the enemy machine, and when it clears, the Crest Head's shield and shield arm spark before exploding, as does its beam rifle, which the pilot is barely able to toss away in time. The damaged Crest Head draws a solid metal blade before withdrawing to join its undamaged compatriot, the two of them no doubt contemplating their next move.

The flash of a beam round gets your attention, and you turn to see the Zeta Gundam in Waverider mode dodging beam rounds from a Headhunter. As the enemy sniper unit fruitlessly tries to shoot down Kamille, the Zeta Gundam closes the distance and transforms back into mobile suit mode, hacking off the legs of the sniper unit before skewering it through the torso. The other headhunters turn to fire, but are distracted by 18 Scopedogs charging at them. One Headhunter fires, and proceeds to miss by a country mile as the Scopedogs scatter to avoid the enormous beam round that erupts from its cannon. The other remaining Headhunters fire, and although two of them have a near miss, the third manages to catch eight Scopedogs in its beam, which seems to convince those remaining to retreat back to Dai-Guard's crane rig.

You look back to the Crest Heads, which are just...floating there, menacingly, as they contemplate their next move.

You are System ALICE, and you have been looking forward to this ever since Samsara started working on your new body.

Although you no longer have a pilot, you still have the capacity to love. You had specifically requested that Samsara not tamper with that part of your programming so that you could remember and mourn for Ryou Roots. Samsara had agreed, but with a stipulation, mostly as a measure to ensure your loyalty: you were made to love Mira Ayana.

And so, you now fight, both to avenge Ryou Roots and to protect Mira Ayana, out of love.

Your attention is drawn back to the Graffiti Robot 2.0 as the pilot circles around, trying assess your new body.

"Akagi, prevent the Big Horns from interfering. I will take the Graffiti Robot." You say.

"You got it, boss!" Akagi says jovially while waving with Dai-Guard's right arm, its hands lacking the finder articulation to give a thumbs up.

As you and the Graffiti robot circle around, sizing each other up, Dai-Guard charges at the closest Big-Horn.

View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-O1X9GDJD4

The Big Horn responds by charging at Dai-Guard at full tilt.

"Here they come! Brace for impact guys!" Akagi urges his copilots.

"Geez, it's always the same thing, isn't it?" Aoyama gripes.

"Quit whining, you want us to die again so soon?!" Ibuki chastises Aoyama.

Dai-Guard is actually able to dodge the wild swipe of the first Big Horn, but is unable to dodge the beam cannons and machete strikes of the others. Despite this, due to some defensive maneuvering on the part of Ibuki, most of the damage is confined to the left arm, which is now sparking and emitting smoke.

"Okay, you've had your fun. Now it's our turn! Aoyama, maximum power to the legs!" Akagi yells.

"You got it!" Aoyama says.

Dai-Guard charges forward and leaps onto the closest Big Horn, grabbing on and smashing its torso with its fists. Despite the size difference and the fact that you know Dai-Guard is made from mostly mundane materials, Akagi apparently found the one spot on the Big Horn's torso that isn't heavily armored, and after a few seconds of punching, Dai Guard is able to tear open a hole in the Big Horn's armor plating, reach in, and tear out a handful of vital components, which immediately causes the Big Horn's engine to sputter and die. As the enemy Super Robot falls to the ground, Dai-Guard leaps off and lands roughly on the beach. A Big Horn fires its beam cannons at Dai-Guard, which dodges.

"Akagi, the left arm's completely shot!" Ibuki warns.

"No problem, that gives us ammo! Remember the time we took down that flying Heterodyne?" Akagi says.

"Oh for the love of-fine! I'll give you a good trajectory!" Ibuki says.

"Rocket Punch!" Akagi yells.

Dai-Guard proceeds to tear off its now useless left arm and hurls it at the Big Horn in the air that's firing at it. Despite all odds, the improvised 'Rocket Punch' sails true and slams into the lower torso of the Big Horn where its armor is weakest. The Big Horn starts belching smoke from places it was never meant to vent exhaust before falling into the water and exploding.

As Dai-Guard sprints for its crane rig to get new weapons, the pilot of the Graffiti Robot charges at you.

"Hmph, so you're a survivor, so what? You think you can take us on?" The pilot taunts you

You elect not to dignify that with a response.

The Graffiti Robot fires its palm-mounted beam cannons, and you dodge the first salvo with contemptuous ease. The Graffiti Robot fires another salvo of beam rounds, and you're able to dodge that too. The pilot activates the Graffiti Robot's wrist-mounted energy blades out of frustration makes to charge at you. You'd rather not stress-test the tolerances of your Super Alloy Z plating or Blaze Luminous, so you ready the beam cannon in your right arm, the railgun in your left, line up a shot for both, and fire.

The railgun slug hits first, and smashes against an energy shield. The blue barrier flashes for a second before failing, fragments of the slug pelting the Graffiti Robot at high speed. Your mega beam round impacts a second after, engulfing the enemy Super Robot. You still see a sensor profile amidst the bright flash, and so you fire a pair of cluster missiles and the Photon Beam cannons embedded in your body's eyes. Both the Photon Beams and the missiles hit home, and when the smoke clears, you see that the Graffiti Robot is heavily damaged. It still has all of its limbs, but there are few places where the armor plating isn't scorched, warped, or otherwise damaged from your barrage.

"You fucking silicone bitch! If you think this is the end of it-"

You interrupt the pilot's rant by firing your Photon Beam at him.

The pilot of the Graffiti Robot curses as he maneuvers to take the shot on his right shoulder before moving to retreat.

You spare a glance to see Dai-Guard in the process of skewering a Big Horn through the cockpit with its Knot Punisher pile bunker, while the remaining Scopedogs are concentrating fire on another, bringing it down through sheer volume of ordnance.

"Ah fuck, we're not going to be able to get the Fugitive at this rate! Retreat, retreat!" The pilot of the Graffiti Robot yells.

You immediately fire your shoulder mounted beam cannons at the Graffiti Robot, but it disappears through a Dimensional Distortion before the rounds make impact.

If you were an organic pilot, you would have tutted in frustration. As an AI, you do the equivalent by scanning the area where the enemy was twice before looking elsewhere.

Shinn Asuka family survival roll-DC 9
Roll 1d10 + 3 (Stella intervention)
Roll 7
7 + 3 = 10

You are Stella Loussier, and you sincerely hope that you're not too late to help this dimension's Shinn.

You spy a family of four running through the woods and zoom in-it's Shinn and his family!

Unfortunately, a pair of Strike Daggers have also spotted the Asuka family and move to commit a war crime against them.

Thankfully, the Destiny Gundam is faster.

You activate the Destiny Gundam's Voiture Lumiere System, zooming forward and bisecting the first Strike Dagger with your anti-ship sword, before throwing a beam boomerang at the other, cutting it in half.

"Are you alright?!" You ask over the Destiny Gundam's speakers as you turn your attention back to Shinn's family. A quick head count confirms they're all still alive, thank goodness.

"We are, thank you!" Shinn says as he waves to you.

"Get to the evacuation boats, it's not safe here!" You say, pointing to one of the vessels in question.

As Shinn and his family depart, you send over what will be Lunamaria Hawke's future email and phone number to Shinn's phone with some vaguely cryptic instructions before taking off your helmet and breaking down in tears.

"Go be happy, Shinn..." You say out loud.

Thankfully, the fighting seems to be over for the moment, with the Council having withdrawn and Blue Cosmos in retreat once again.

It is clear that holding Orb is going to be impossible. Uzumi is about to do something drastic, and has urged all allied forces to flee.

The Archangel and Nadesico are heading to space, accompanying the Izumo-class battleship Kusanagi, which has a load of 40 M1 Astrays

All other allied forces are returning to Japan.

Mira and the girls will go to space with the Archangel. What other ships with their forces will go to space? (Pick TWO)

A/N: The update, as promised. Next post will be an end of turn affair, and anyone who's watched SEED can probably guess what it's going to be called. Please vote, discuss, and critique!

Hmm, looks like we are getting closer to the SEED final battle.

From what I remember from SRW W this is the point where the last missions regarding that storyline takes place and Mu discovers the true nature of Rau.

This is also the point where Murata is able to launch once again a nuclear strike againts the coordinators while the later use their shiny new colony laser.

Hmm, our biggest problem will be Rau, from Seed he, Mu and Kira were pretty much their version of newtypes, so maybe bringing in our best gundams is on our best interest.

Amuro is just too much of an unit to really drop at this point so I say the londo bell forces come in.

From the unicorn side we have both the Unicorn and the Banshee, which could come in handy for their psychoframe shenanigans, specially againts the colony laser

On the other hand Celestial beings gives us more of a covereage of assorted gundams without counting the Trans Am system which has saved us on multiple ocassions.

A desicions, desicions.

It's a shame we couldn't do more with regards to the Battle of Orb other than getting most of the Seirans killed and preventing Shinn's family (which are palpable changes, but they'll only have an effect later on). Also, the Council is done playing around. Headhunters roll with a +19 when attacking, but they are vulnerable to getting rushed into melee, having low mobility and a penalty to defense if attacked in melee. Crest Heads have an effective Ability score of 18 (12 Ability, a boost of +6 from Elite Training). Grafitti Robot mk2 now has Ability 14 and gets a +6 to offense rolls. We've reached a point where we will have to send heavy hitters after Council forces and stall for time as best we can until we can trigger Will abilities, since they are starting to become stronger, to the point some of our pilots will struggle against them.

In all due seriousness, the Strike Dagger is actually one of the better MP units, being little more than a Strike Gundam without all the optional features like not!buster-rifles or anti-ship swords. And Blue Cosmos had a literal metric shit tonne of them to throw at our wall.

We probably could have repulsed them all with less collateral if the Council hadn't dicked us over with it's Elites. I'm also kinda sad that we didn't get any Headhunter or Crest Head salvage, but I guess the jackasses are finally blowwing the dust out of their self destructs like the Aliens in Xcom Enemy Unknown.

The Asuka's live! No crazy mode Shinn for us! Sad that Stella is still a mess over her Shinn, though... And Samsara insisting Alice be reprogrammed to "love" Mira is a little messed up. Don't like that she decided to do something like that.

Sending Londo Bell to help the Orb and SEED teams, given this sort of earth - space conflict is literally their job. Could send Celestial Being because it is also their job, but Londo Bell adds some much needed legitimacy.

"JESUS CHRIST, STOP TRYING TO LIVE VICARIOUSLY THROUGH ME!"

"EXCUSE ME!?"

"DID I STUTTER, YOU HORNY BITCH?!"

And...ok, seriously, The Seirans rolled a nat ten to survive?

Fucking hell, the dice REALLY want Orb to go to shit.

And hey, the Scopedogs came in clutch! That's awesome!

I just wish we'd blown more holes in the Blue Cosmos fleet. Although now we have to deal with the WMDs, which is never fun.

...How many of their total forces did we destroy, anyways?

As for who to send up...I'm gonna go with U.C Gundam Represents!

Indeed, the Strike Dagger may be cut down to all hell but it isn't terrible by any means, any more than the GM was except by comparison to the Gelgoog and Gundam. It's just that it's worse than the standard Dagger A1, because the latter can actually use the Strike Packs that are kinda the SEED universe's thing. We'd have been in a lot more trouble if Blue Cosmos had bothered mass producing A1s, but it seems they went for the Federation's canon tactic of throwing unreasonable numbers of the worse Strike Dagger at people instead.

Now, if only we MP'd the Aestivalis, it would have been a rout.

I think the Strike Dagger's big weakness, here, is that they're heavily reliant on Beams, and we have numerous ways of weakening or outright nullifying beam weaponry.

It's just too bad we couldn't really leverage that weakness on a wider scale. Individually, yes, but with 4 digit armies, no.

Now, if only we MP'd the Aestivalis, it would have been a rout.

Not really.

Even if we had more Aestivalis units and used them to stall out the Strike Daggers, Azrael would have leaned on BC's super soldiers to take care of them (remember that the super soldiers rolled with a +17 modifier after acounting their Ability score and other bonuses, and their Gundams also did not exclusively use Beam Weaponry, so they wouldn't have had all that hard of a time removing Aestivalis units from the field). Not to mention, the Spearheads and some of the ships also had access to Physical Weaponry IIRC, so those too could have had an easier time fighting Aestivalis units. As I was saying earlier, the best chance for us to avert this event (QM likely wanted the Battle of Orb to mostly stay on track because winning here could have radically altered the plot in a way QM wasn't ready to handle) would have been to hit Will 8 on non-Gundam 00 Celestial Being units, have some of them go Trans-Am and send them hunting for Azrael, since he was present to lead the battle. Killing him would have at least weakened Blue Cosmos in the long run, and could have potentially even caused a retreat.

Tally for kills when it comes to Blue Cosmos units:
  • 429 Strike Daggers;
  • 180 F-7D Spearhead fighters;
  • 10 Des Moines-class cruisers ;
  • 13 Arkansas-class destroyers;
  • 17 Fraser-class destroyer.

I think we want to send the Ptolemaios as our second ship to space, alongside Ra Calium, Nadesico and Archangel. Blue Cosmos got its hand on the N-Jammer Canceller tech after Le Creuset sent it to them via Flay. So long as we get to Flay first when the time comes, we can deny BC the ability to use its arsenal of nuclear missiles, and Celestial Being units in Trans-Am are pretty much the fastest units we have available, which will make it easier to intercept the N-Jammer Canceller plans ahead of Blue Cosmos.

Aboard the Blue Cosmos command aircraft carrier Bunker Hill

You are Murata Azrael, and you are meeting face to face with a representative of the Council of the Veil. Before the civil war against Britannia had broken out, you had the privilege of accessing what scant intelligence the Solar Vanguard had seen fit to share with the wider EFF, but to meet one of the interdimensional cabal face-to-face is a new experience.

The representative resembles a human male, around his 40s, if you had to guess. He's portly and concealing the fact that he's balding with a poorly fitted toupee, while wearing a plain black suit that looks absolutely dreadful.

"So, what does the famed Council of the Veil want with little old me?" You ask.

Aside yourself and the Council representative, Admiral Sutherland and a pair of MPs are also in the meeting room, the former for his viewpoint, and the latter for security.

"We wish to come to an agreement, Mr. Azrael." The Council representative says in a wheezy voice while twirling his mustache.

"What kind of agreement?" You ask with a raised eyebrow.

"It's actually quite simple. We will assist you in conquering Orb and taking the mass driver at Kaguya." The representative explains.

"And in exchange? There's no such thing as a free lunch in a situation like this." You say.

"It's actually more of benefit for you than a price to pay. You see, Mr. Azrael, we wish for you to become our subordinate. Once we have conquered the Earth Sphere, you will have free reign to do as you please. Don't like Coordinators? Kill them all! Torture them at your whim, we have our own, far superior programs that you can take control of or ignore at you leisure." The representative takes on the tone of a salesman trying to pitch the latest product to you.

You take a breath to steady yourself before turning to Admiral Sutherland.

"Do you know what I hate the most? Aside from Coordinators, of course." You ask your friend with a smile.

"I don't think we've ever discussed that." Admiral Sutherland answers cautiously.

"It's being looked down on. I hate it when that happens." You say as you turn toward that Council representative with a glare. "I know what this fucking is. You plan on using me as a tool of convenience. Then, when you're all done with what you wanted from me, you'll get rid of me."

The Council representative goes pale.

You reach into your jacket and pull out a pistol. Admiral Sutherland immediately covers his ears, as do the MPs.

"MURATA AZRAEL ANSWERS TO NO ONE ELSE! NOT ANY COORDINATOR, AND CERTAINLY NOT YOU MONSTERS FROM ANOTHER DIMENSION!" You yell as you empty the magazine into the Council representative.

You let out a breath before turning to the MPs.

"Get the coroner down in the morgue to do an autopsy on this...man, then toss the body overboard. And get the Biological CPUs ready for combat. I want to take the mass driver at Kaguya by sundown, and I'm getting tired of eating the food on this ship." You turn to Sutherland. "No offense, Admiral."

"None taken, sir." Sutherland says as he rights his cap.

Orb
Aboard the Archangel

As you and the girls get strapped in for the Archangel's launch into space, you look over them. Nina and Yukari are clasping hands, while Lucia is looking at the ceiling and taking deep breaths.

"You girls sure you didn't want to go on the Nadesico?" You ask.

The three of them nod in unison.

The Nadesico had already gone into space with the use of its Phase Transition Engine, while the Ra Cailum had just been launched from the mass driver a few minutes ago. Now, the Archangel is launching with a pair of spare boosters meant for the Kusanagi, with the plan being to fire the Lohengrin positron cannons right after the boosters reach full power to create a short-lived pocket of vacuum so that it'll be easier for the ship to get to space.

"Suit yourselves, but it's going to be rough." You warn them.

Kaguya Command Center

As Cagalli attempts to get Uzumi to come aboard the Kusanagi, a member of the ruling council manning a sensor station looks up in alarm.

"Radar's picked something up! They're mobile suits!" He yells.

"We're out of time! Ms. Ramius, take off!" Uzumi urges.

"We'll take off right away! Kira?" Murrue says.

"I'll provide cover for the takeoff. Archangel, go now!" Kira says. "What about the Kusanagi?"

"We'll send it out right away, thank you!" Uzumi says.

"It's going to be an air battle, the Buster's not equipped for it! Dearka, get on the Archangel!" Athrun says.

As the Archangel makes final preparations for launch, Uzumi turns toward Cagalli.

"What's taking you so long?! Hurry up!" He says.

"But...!" Cagalli trails off.

"Mobile suits approaching, distance: 15!" The council member manning the sensor station announces.

Uzumi grabs Cagalli by the arm before dragging her off.

"We have our responsibilities, and you have yours!" Uzumi says.

"But why-!" Cagalli manages to squeak out, tears starting to form in her eyes.

"If we're left without anyone to carry out our hopes, we're finished! Why can't you understand that?" Uzumi chastises Cagalli.

As the Archangel launches and reaches escape velocity, the Gundams of Blue Cosmos get within range of the mass driver. The Freedom and Justice move to impede them.

"Lord Uzumi, Cagalli!" Kisaka says in surprise as Uzumi drags Cagalli over to the boarding ramp for the Kusanagi.

"Hurry, Kisaka! And take care of my foolish daughter." Uzumi orders.

"Yes, sir!" Kisaka says.

"Father!" Cagalli bursts out, tears starting to streak down her face.

Uzumi looks down at his daughter with a brave, but sad face.

"Stop giving me that look. It doesn't suit the daughter of the Lion of Orb." Uzumi says gently as he pats her on the head.

"But-!"

"You're parting from your father, but you're not alone." Uzumi reaches into his jacket and pulls out a photo, which he hands to Cagalli. "You'll be with your brother."

Cagalli looks down at the photo. It's a picture of a young woman cradling two newborn infants in her arms, one with blond hair, and the other with brown hair. She turns the photo over to see two names written on the back, one above the other.

'Kira'
'Cagalli'

Cagalli looks up at Uzumi with a questioning look, and he nods.

Outside, Kira furiously fires the Freedom's beam rifle at the Forbidden to keep it away from the mass driver.

"I feel very fortunate to have been your father." Uzumi says warmly.

The airlock on the Kusanagi closes immediately after, Kisaka having dragged Cagalli into the ship while she was distracted.

Cagalli impotently bangs on the window of the airlock, tears streaming down her face, as the outer doors of the Kusanagi's airlock close.

"Go Kisaka! I'm counting on you!" Uzumi yells.

"Departure of all personnel except those in Division C confirmed. All systems go. Initiating the Kusanagi's final launch sequence. May the prayers of Haumea be with you." An announcement comes on over the PA.

Upon seeing the Kusanagi barrel down the rails of the mass driver, the Freedom and Justice both make a mad dash for the ship while firing at the Blue Cosmos Gundams, the enemy machines firing back in an attempt to deny them escape.

The Freedom makes it to the ship first, grabbing onto the side and getting into a good position against the hull before reaching out its hand toward its sister machine, the Justice.

Kira's heart nearly stops as he sees a beam round from the Calamity ping off of the Justice's Fatum-00 backpack unit. A second later, the Justice closes the distance, and the Freedom and Justice clasp hands as the former hoists the latter onto the side of the Kusanagi.

Athrun and Kira wordlessly nod at each other before turning toward the Blue Cosmos Gundams and readying all of their weapons save their beam rifles. The Freedom unfolds its Baleena plasma cannons and Xiphias railguns, while the Justice readies its Fortis beam cannons mounted on the Fatum-00.

The two Gundam fire simultaneously at the water as the Druggies dodge, the ensuing plume of water obscuring their vision long enough for the Kusanagi to clear the mass driver and reach escape velocity.

From the control center at Kaguya, Uzumi and the members of the ruling council watch as the Kusanagi rapidly ascends. He momentarily entertains the thought of escape while setting the planned self-destruct on a timer, but a cluster of Dimensional Distortions manifesting directly above the facility and disgorging elite Council machines puts an end to that idea.

Looks like the Council wants our resources and technology as well. He muses to himself before turning to the members of the ruling council.

"The seeds have flown. We've succeeded." Uzumi says.

He turns back to the control panel in front of him and turns a dial before pressing an imposing red button.

"We won't let Orb or this world fall into the hands of those bastards!" Uzumi declares as alarms blare.

Explosives and prototype N2 mines placed throughout the facilities detonate, destroying the Kaguya mass driver and Morgenroete facilities.

As Uzumi is consumed by flames, he does not flinch or cry out in pain, only stare up at the rapidly shrinking Kusanagi.

Cagalli, aboard the Kusanagi, witnesses the destruction on the ship's bridge.

"FATHER!" She cries out in anguish before sinking back into the command chair.

A/N: And that's the end of turn 12. Considering that you've dodged basically 80% of the Kotetsushin Jeeg plot, expect a mandatory event centered on them next turn. Please vote, discuss, and critique!

A shame we didn't have an overzealous Blue Cosmos member or one of the Biological CPUs open fire on the Council forces during the battle, getting the latter to also fight Blue Cosmos, but at least Azrael refused to join up with them, because it would have made things more complicated.

Shame, that would have been the priceless moment of "I'm surrounded by idiots!" from Azrael when realizing overzealous fanatics and/or drugged up super soldiers are more trouble than they're worth.

...For some reason, I'm imagining the Council is made up entirely of nothing but Fire Emblem Starter bandits.

You know, the ones that are convinced they're God because they're slightly stronger than the average mook with faces that look like they got beaten with the whole Ugly tree?
