Bad idea, those are your names.

You do FA equipment set when your mech got power to spare and isn't significantly decreased in performance in some other fashion.

Burai and Knightmare Frames in general follow philosophy of "Speed is life" and put lots of points into evasion. Encumbering them with Full Armor pack means poor Burai won't be able to dodge and will have armor closer to say, GM II. Bad Idea.

Nemo is a good grunt mobile suite, but it definitely doesn't have spare power for Full Armor equipment: Damn thing is optimized to run as is.

Also, please check for missing spaces and minor errors.
Oh I know that's why I purposefully put it in to act as like a Chekov's gun/example of somethings stupid to avoid/old shame of the narrator .Essentially their whole thing is to explain in another omake what you said,ie adding armor and guns is a really bad idea if you're MS isn't meant for it plus the fact that you never know what's going to be the next battlefield so you might end up having to eject the add-ons in order to fight in whatever weird battlefield it is and to make matters worse FA stuff makes logistics a living hell.

Full Armor goes on Gundams for a reason folks. Usually the equivalent would be a Nemo Cannon or something to that effect - same idea of same frame more firepower, except it's actually built for it. There's a reason that of every Full Armour System designed, the only one that actually gets used is the Full Armour ZZ, which was actually intended not for the usual functions of a Full Armour, but for stopping the ZZ from falling apart.

Not to mention the poor HRL conscripts who are still alive despite being in a godamn Tieren. That and the AEUG guys who use NEMO's

I would take a NEMO before I would take a Tieren. Hell I would take any of the GM line of Mobilesuits out side of the first stock Mass produced one before I would take the HRL's crappy frontlineer.

Also, Hiding behind Mazinkaiser is a valid and effective strategy.

...All this talk about Full Armor additions makes me wonder what Full Armor Super Robots would be.

Like, what if it's just a really, really fat Mazinkaiser? Like, Sumo-shaped.

Aboard the Archangel, drydock in Orb

Sai Argyle glances out in the hallway to see his friend Kuzzey Buskirk walking with a suitcase in hand.

"I see, you're getting off too, huh?" Sai says as he walks out to the doorway of his room.

"Yeah, aren't you leaving, Sai?" Kuzzey asks.

"I'm staying. It's Orb that's going to be under attack now, after all, and I can contribute. I just called my parents a moment ago and told them the same thing." Sai replies.

"But...oh, what about Milly? She's getting off, right? I mean, she's a girl, so..." Kuzzey trails off.

Sai sighs.

"Kuzzey. Don't worry about what other people are deciding." He admonishes his friend.

"But, if I'm the only one who's leaving, then...everyone else will think..." Kuzzey stares at the floor.

"I know. Fighting wars just isn't your thing. You're too kind for this stuff." Sai says.

"Sai..." Kuzzey says.

"We'll meet again when the war is over. Be sure to survive until then." Sai says while patting Kuzzey on the shoulder.

"Sai...I've changed my mind, I'll...!"

"Don't even think about it. You'll regret it again later." Sai cuts Kuzzey off.

Archangel brig

Dearka Elsman perks up at the sound of his cell door opening. He's greeted by the sight of Miriallia Haw.

"Interrogation? Or a transfer?" Dearka asks languidly as he sits up on his cot.

"This ship is going out to battle again, because Blue Cosmos is attacking Orb." Miriallia explains.

"Eh?" Dearka makes a noise of surprise.

"So, apparently you're free to go." Miriallia tosses Dearka's ZAFT pilot suit onto his lap. "You're being released."

As Miriallia leaves, Dearka follows after her out of the ship's brig, carrying his pilot suit in his hands.

"Hey, wait a sec, what's that supposed to mean?" Dearka asks.

"It's exactly what it sounds like. Blue Cosmos is attacking Orb, so the Archangel and Solar Vanguard have to fight. There's no reason to keep you on board, so get off." Miriallia says tiredly.

"What I want to know is, why are you guys fighting against the Earth Forces? I thought you were all a part of the Federation?" Dearka asks.

"Have you seriously not been paying attention to the news the entire time you were in captivity? Orb is part of the International Reformation Committee, Blue Cosmos isn't." Miriallia snaps.

"That hardly makes sense! Are Naturals that stupid?" Dearka says incredulously.

"Say what you like! When the battle begins, things are going to get chaotic, so you're on you're own, sorry." Miriallia says.

"Easy for you to say. What about my Buster?" Dearka asks.

"That was ours to begin with! Morgenroete took it." Miriallia snaps.

Dearka sighs in resignation. Miriallia's face softens.

"Look, I'm sorry things turned out this way." She says apologetically.

As Miriallia walks away, Dearka runs up and grabs her by the arm.

"Wait, are you fighting too?" He asks.

"I'm in charge of the ship's CIC! And besides, Orb is my home country!" Miriallia responds as she jerks her arm away.

Aboard the Archangel's bridge

Murrue Ramius looks out the front window of the bridge at the drydock below and sighs. Mu La Flaga walks up to her.

"The Captain of the ship should not be looking so depressed." Mu says.

Murrue turns to look at Mu.

"All in all, only eleven people left the ship. Pretty impressive. Between JOSH-A and everything else going on the world, small wonder." Mu says.

"At JOSH-A...why did you return, Commander?" Murrue asks as she looks out the window again.

"Eh? I didn't expect to be asked that now after all this time." Mu shrugs.

Mu grabs Murrue by the waist and draws her in for a kiss. Murrue, initially taken aback, closes her eyes and lets it happen. The two of them separate.

"Y-You know I'm not too fond of mobile armor pilots." Murrue says while blushing.

"Good thing I'm a mobile suit pilot now." Mu responds.

The two of them lean in and kiss again.

The door to the bridge opens, and Arnold Neumann, Jackie Tonomura, and Dalida Lolaha Chandra II enter.

"Excuse us-!" Whatever else Arnold Neumann had to say dies on his lips as the three bridge officers bear witness to Murrue and Mu making out, all three blushing at the sight.

Battle of Orb, Phase 1

Opposed rolls-Both sides will roll 1d100 with modifiers for unit composition and numbers taken into account

Orb/IRC force roll
Roll 1d100 + 8 (Tactical Forecaster) + 6 (M1 Astrays) + 4 (Wet Navy) + 1 (Heli VTOLs) + 3 (Conventional forces) + 2 (Static Defenses) + 4 (HRL Forces) + 6 (EFF Shock Package) + 7 (OZ Reinforcements Package) + 8 (N.U.N.S. Relief Force) + 8 (Celestial Being) + 8 (Londo Bell) + 6 (Dragonar Team) + 7 (Photon Power Labs) + 6 (Nadesico et al)
Roll 88
Result: 172

Blue Cosmos Roll
Roll 1d100 + 6 (Strike Daggers) + 3 (Spearheads) + 5 (Wet Navy) + 24 (Raider, Forbidden, and Calamity Gundams) + 40 (Numerical Superiority)
Roll 55
Result: 133

Result: Orb is able to fend off the initial landings, but airdrops of Strike Daggers and the deployment of the Raider, Forbidden, and Calamity as effective force multipliers results in heavy losses among friendly forces.

You are Kira Yamato, and as you launch from the Archangel, you spare a glance at some of your comrades; Mu in the refurbished Strike is right behind you, and you see the Ra Calium and the Nahel Argama deploying their own mobile suits in the distance. You glance up to see Celestial Being make a theatric entrance with the Ptolemios II to keep up appearances, their own Gundams deploying. You're quickly joined by Stella Loussier in the Destiny Gundam.

Blue Cosmos opened up with a massive salvo of cruise missiles, and although everyone present put up a withering barrage of defensive fire, some managed to get through. You wince as a quartet of M1 Astrays and the anti-air cannons they had been standing by are engulfed by the ensuing explosions.

"Incoming mobile suits on the Iazanagi Shore! Large carriers approaching above Onogoro Island!" An Orb communication officer announces.

Time to get to work, then.

View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=427DBQGyyhg

You line up a dozen Strike Daggers in the Freedom's targeting computer and fire, dismembering or decapitating the enemy mobile suits with the Freedom's weapons. As you approach the ground at high speed, you toss your beam rifle and shield up into the air and dismember a pair of Strike Daggers that were charging at a trio of M1 Astrays. You take off and catch your beam rifle and shield as you go back up into the air.

In the distance, you see Mu in the Perfect Strike, firing its Agni cannon at a trio of Strike Daggers and destroying them.

"Boy, that's so cool, though I'm still new at this." Mu comments. "Hey, you'd better stay alert, girls, more of them will be here any minute!"

The M1 Astray pilots you rescued give words of acknowledgement and turn their attention back to the battle.

View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0fdfqiV8tjw

"Three mobile suits, wait, mobile armors? Enemy machines approaching!" One of the Archangel's sensor officers alerts you.

A black and red mobile armor evades a barrage of missiles and point defense fire from the Archangel and transforms into a mobile suit to try and strike the ship's bridge. You intervene and kick the enemy Gundam away into the water. Unfortunately, that seems to have gotten the attention of its two compatriots.

Mass Combat-Kira, Mu, and Stella vs the Druggies
Opposed rolls-each side rolls 1d10 for each pilot, add modifiers
Kira
Roll 1d10 + 8 Ability + 2 (Coordinator) + 1 (6 Will)
Roll 3
3 + 8 + 2 + 1 = 14
Mu
Roll 1d10 + 7 Ability + 1 (6 Will) + 2 (Hawk of Endymion)
Roll 9
9 + 7 + 1 + 2 = 19
Stella
Roll 1d10 + 9 Ability + 3 (Extended) + 1 (6 Will)
Roll 6
6 + 9 + 3 + 1 = 19
Shani
Roll 1d10 + 10 Ability + 4 (Boosted Man) + 3 (Gamma Glipheptin)
Roll 7
7 + 10 + 4 + 3 = 24
Orga
Roll 1d10 + 10 Ability + 4 (Boosted Man) + 3 (Gamma Glipheptin) - 2 (Landbound)
Roll 3
3 + 10 + 4 + 3 - 2 = 18
Clotho
Roll 1d10 + 10 Ability + 4 (Boosted Man) + 3 (Gamma Glipheptin)
Roll 4
4 + 10 + 4 + 3 = 21

Result: No one takes any damage due to Phase Shift Armor and Beam defenses both sides have, but Kira and Stella are manhandled by Shani and Clotho and put into a corner as a result. Mu is able to distract Orga on the ground.

You see a green Gundam in the distance bisect an Orb ship in the distance with a massive scythe. You take off in pursuit while Stella in the Destiny Gundam cuts off the black and red Gundam as it makes to follow you.

"Come on, big boy, let's dance!" Stella yells as she dodges a blow from a retractable mace the black and red Gundam flings at her.

The green Gundam fires a pair of railguns at you, which you dodge. You dodge several more salvos from the enemy Gundam before taking a shot at it with the Freedom's Baleena plasma cannons. Right before they would have made contact, the beams curve away from the enemy Gundam.

"What the-the beam curved?!" You say in confusion.

"Ah, damn it!" Stella yells.

You turn to see the black and red Gundam shoulder checking the Destiny before moving to smash it in the torso with its mace. Stella brings up the Destiny's arm mounted Beam Shield and as a result is 'only' flung backwards a few dozen meters.

"I knew my predecessors in the Biological CPU program were better pilots than my squad, but I wasn't expecting the gap to be this big!" Stella laments as the Freedom and Destiny hover in midair back to back.

You spare a glance at the ground to see that Mu in the Perfect Strike is attacking a third Blue Cosmos Gundam with the Sword Pack's anti-ship sword, with the Astray girls helping him.

Your attention is forced back to your own fight as the Blue Cosmos Gundams-now identified as the Forbidden and Raider-charge at you and Stella.

"I think we're in trouble." You say out loud.

"You think?!" Stella says in disbelief as the two of you split up to dodge a mace blow from the Raider.

A green beam round spearing through a pair of Spearheads on course for the Archangel gets your attention, and you spare a brief glance to see the Buster Gundam in the distance. You have no time to speculate on the pilot, as the Forbidden charges at you with its scythe.

You are Athrun Zala, and as you watch the battle unfold below you, you spot a familiar mobile suit.

"The Freedom...Kira?" You ponder out loud.

You watch as the Freedom and a Gundam resembling an advanced successor to the Strike battle against Blue Cosmos' newest Gundams, wincing as the Freedom takes a blow from the Raider's mace that sends it flying. The not-Strike disappears in a blur of motion and reappears behind the Forbidden, poised to cut it in half with a massive anti-ship sword, only for the Forbidden to turn around and fire its railguns into it at close range. Although the not-Strike is protected by Phase-Shift Armor, it's still thrown back a substantial distance.

With the not-Strike momentarily out of the picture, the Forbidden and Raider are free to focus on the Freedom, firing beam weapons and railguns at it. The Freedom dodges admirably, but you know even Kira won't be able to last long in a situation like this.

What is it that you believe in and fight for? Is it the medal you received? Your father's orders? Some of Lacus Clyne's choice words from your confrontation with her on PLANT echo in your head.

I hate ZAFT! I'm going to beat all of them up when I get biggerI Although the orphan's kick to your shins didn't seriously injure you, it still hurt in a different way.

You grip the controls for the Justice tightly as you come to a decision.

The fight against the Forbidden and Raider Gundams isn't going well-with Stella momentarily out of the fight, they're free to focus on you.

And focus they are. The Forbidden slams your shield with its scythe, knocking you about and disorienting you. You've barely righted the Freedom when the Raider zooms up to you and charges a beam cannon in its 'mouth'.

"The end." The pilot of the Raider taunts you over an open frequency as he fires.

"Kira!" Stella yells.

Suddenly, a maroon Gundam interposes itself in front of the Freedom and blocks the Raider's beam shot with its own shield before firing a round from its beam rifle. The Raider dodges.

"This is ZAFT Special Forces agent, Athrun Zala. Can you hear me, Freedom? Kira Yamato, I presume." Athrun's voice comes on over the radio.

"Athrun." Your train of thought is interrupted by the Raider and Forbidden attacking the two of you.

As the two of you dodge the Raider and Forbidden's attacks, you manage to find an opportunity to talk to Athrun when Stella and a newly arrived Mira distract the two enemy machines.

"What's the big idea? Is ZAFT going to stick its nose into this battle?" You ask.

"I have no specific orders regarding this battle. This intervention...is my decision alone!" Athrun responds.

You have nothing to say to that as you, Athrun, Stella, and Mira battle the Forbidden, Raider, and Calamity. After a few minutes of stalemate, the three Blue Cosmos Gundams retreat, heading back out toward their fleet at full speed.

"Why did the retreat?" You wonder out loud.

"They must have run out of time." Stella says.

"What do you mean by that?" Mira asks.

"They use a drug called Gamma Glipheptin to enhance their piloting abilities. Works great, but the withdrawal symptoms hit you like a truck once it wears off, and if you don't get another fix soon, you die. It's the main reason why my generation of Biological CPU wasn't trained with that stuff in mind." Stella explains.

"Huh." You say as you take another glance at the retreating Blue Cosmos Gundams.

Now to deal with Athrun...

Oh... This is hard. I am really tempted to have Kaiser and Shin Great alongside us for the Council, but at the same time I'm not sure if Kaiser might not be best deployed here...

...Well, that was kind of a disaster, despite our quite high rolls.

The Gun-Rus in particular are acting like Balls.

Honestly, rather upset that they managed to fuck us up that hard, and a good chunk of our best result, chipping down the Strikes, got almost entirely invalidated with the reinforcement roll.

We chopped their Spearheads in half, at least...

As Megamind would say, there's always PRESENTATION!

"I knew my predecessors in the Biological CPU program were better pilots than my squad, but I wasn't expecting the gap to be this big!" Stella laments as the Freedom and Destiny hover in midair back to back.
The consequences of the former strong antagonist turned ally becoming weak or couldn't catch up to show off the threat of a more powerful and dangerous new enemy.

The consequences of the former strong antagonist turned ally becoming weak or couldn't catch up to show off the threat of a more powerful and dangerous new enemy.

Also, keep in mind that Stella's Extended augmentations included a daily drug regimen that she was weaned off of/cured of before she was sent over to Mira's dimension, which also widens the skill gap between her and the Druggies slightly.

For the Druggies I say either Amuro or Setsuna are the best without sending them the supers, despite the drugs they will have to roll really well to even surpass a newtype or the trans AM system.

The supers while could tap them on one hit, they need to hit too so better save the brothers for the council forces.

Let's see the druggies bonus give them a natural plus 17, meanwhile Amuro gets a natural plus 17 too thanks to his ability being at 12 and having newtype lv5, that is without counting the machine bonus, but we still need to hit the threshold for the psycho frame to activate.

Actually Amuro is really the only pilot on the list that can keep them on their toes only variable being the dice till he hits will 8.

So assist againts druggies is

Also, sad day, no Red Shoulder.

Having Chichiro would have been a hell of a boon.

Unfortunately, now we have to deal with the Council in addition to round two of the not-so-depleted Blue Cosmos.

What'll our other team members be doing while this shit goes on?

I'm a little iffy about doubling down on Mazins. I think I'd like a Mazin and a Real to balance it out.

True, mostly using double brothers for the double burning fire as that has always been one of the most powerful combo attacks in the series.

We could change Tetsuya maybe for Judau or the Dragonar team, Judau is still one hell of a unit having the punching pack of a super while being a real and the dragonar team does gives us access still to one combo attack alongside some other neat stuff like Dtagonar 3 EWAC.

Also, keep in mind that Stella's Extended augmentations included a daily drug regimen that she was weaned off of/cured of before she was sent over to Mira's dimension, which also widens the skill gap between her and the Druggies slightly.
I see. Thanks for clarifying and yeah at least Stella got better and can improve on her mobile suit skills to be a lot better and more experienced without the drugs holding her down.

They'll be dealing with either Blue Cosmos or the rest of the Council forces that aren't attacking Mira.
The Blue Cosmos are long overdue for a beatdown they deserve.

Hm...Ok, so I think the Aestivalis and Dragonar teams might be better off playing with the Daggers and whatever Polymerized Mooks the Council pulls out of their ass.

EWAC can be a big advantage in a massive battle like this, and the entire Nadesico roster are probably enjoying their newly improved Distortion Barriers against the mostly beam-armed Daggers.

I think one of the Mazins and ZZ Gundam to support Mira, with Hi Nu or 00 Gundam going full NARC on the druggies.

Looking at stats...Sorry, Tetsuya, but I think you need to hope for a Getter Ray accident so you can get Mazin Emperor, because "Shin" Mazinger just isn't cutting it right now.

Even with Setsuna being unable to use Trans-Am, we still have 3 Gundams that are able to safely use it once they reach Will 8. Let's send one against the Council.
And yeah, looks like our plan to maybe make sure Orb does not have to resort to blowing up its Mass Driver is to find which ship houses Azrael, blitz it with a CB gundam in Trans-Am mode or some other strong unit and hope we can destroy the ship housing Azrael and that should hopefully cause a retreat.

My first thought it to pull something of a throwback to the beginning of the quest, with the Aestivalis and another Super aiding Mira against Council Forces. And as much of a fan I am of trans-am, many audiences deserve regular reminders of why Amuro's considered The Best of The Best.

Druggies

The Hi-Nu is perfect against the druggie brigade, as their anti beam system only works from the front - Amuro can have the Fins swing behind and blast their ass, and then the Freedom is free to have a turkey shoot. Meanwhile, Kaiser and ZZ cover both Reals and Supers the Council could possibly be throwing at us. This seems like the best plan as far as I'm concerned.

Also, perfectly understandable that Stella wants to make sure Shinn is okay. Hopefully we'll be able to avert his family's deaths.
The Gun-Rus in particular are acting like Balls.
I'm not surprised. Those things are godawful. They're what, 2 generations of KMF tech behind?
