// Hey fellas! I'm here to get back into practice writing creatively, and to practice committing to things.
Hopefully, I'll succeed in both. The basic concept of the quest is yall post what you want to do, no votes or anything like that, I read through it, and I take a general consensus from what I read.
Think of it like voting in the American elections - Your vote's don't matter, except they do matter a lot.
Be excited to meet one of the Best Girls From Hell, Satori Komeji and have her read every little message you type out.
If you don't know anything about Touhou, that should be fine. Your character will be outside context. Not like that matters anything in Gensokyo. Note- We'll be using my headcanons, so you really shouldn't know if you are about to be murdered or not. Or how likable a character will be. For all you know, Reimu could end up being a cute stuttering useless lesbian, or a terrifyingly ruthless and effective straight woman. Or just a small child. Here's a good tip though - It will take a whole heck of a lot to bad end you.
If i do something particularly odd, in context of the story or out of, either blame autism or my lack of skill. Either way, i would appreciate an explanation.//

Blank, unseeing eyes open, a still form standing, staring at a red gate.

There's little more than animal instinct inside your skull right now, As you gaze out at the world, all you can think is the mere concept of hunger - you want food. You attempt to move, doing nothing more than falling over - nothing more than the pure desire to move twitching your muscles.
You slump onto the ground in a boneless heap, thudding to the ground.
"Fuck off fairies!" a girls voice rings out, coming from deeper within the shrine, an annoyed edge to her tone as you hear someone quietly walk to the gate.
You slowly get up, more thought filling your head - You're beginning to truly become something. You look down at yourself, seeing long dark hair, a full figure, and tattered robes. There's a small puddle a few feet to the left of you, and you see deep purple eyes gazing back at you, stars speckled within a colorful galaxy. you gasp slightly, a raspy, breathy voice surprising yourself. You don't know what to make of this predicament, but you're hoping for the best.

We'll be using my headcanons
I hope you don't do too many major changes apart from filling the holes. The games are rather scarce in developing a story.
I like the canon personalities each character have because it's what's making them... them. If Reimu ended up as a ruthless, uncaring woman or a stuttering little girl...
I think you got what I mean.

What do we know about who we are? Or are we supposed to find out as we go on? It seems like we're some sort of newborn Youkai? We could even be a God that was just born. I guess we'll find out soon enough. :V

>"Greetings. Who are you? Where are we?"

TPC? Or that one other Touhou forum people are apparently migrating from?

If we are actually just voices inside someone else's head, then the following works, I guess.

>Greetings. Who are you? Where are we?

Nah, I'm not a migrant. Just a lurker. Generally, the idea is the protagonist is a conglomeration - You'll learn more about who you are, your powers, and more as we continue. I will give you this information though - You are practically a newborn. Either a youkai or a god - It doesn't matter all that much. Mostly I'll attempt to stick closely to canon characters as I understand them - Which could be wholly off from reality, but I'm doing this for fun and to practice not being a flake.

Yeah, the way people been shortening Touhou Project.com into THP never been intuitive for me.

There is also Maidens of Kaleidoscope, a forum that seems to also use the > and //, so I am not quite sure from where the author migrated from.

EDIT - well, I guess that answers it.

Neat.

He didn't use the '>' I instinctively did when I saw the '//'. Although, I thought at first too that OP was a migrant.

Meeting the Priestess
"Greetings – Who are you? Where are we?"

You question almost aimlessly, asking the girl, your tone-lessness surprising you. The girl approaches, looking you over. You look around as well, taking in the greenery and trees – The girl in front of you looks a mixture between confused and annoyed.

"Why are you here?" She asked, angrily, grumbling under her breath.

"I don't know where here is – Or who I am. Do you know?"
She looks at you like you've grown a second head. "No. Of course, I don't know who you are, you just fell over in the front of the shrine." You tilt your head, looking at her confused. "This is a shrine?"
The girl looks at you like you've just grown yet another head.
"Of course, this is a shrine, what the hell else could it be – What are you even doing here anyway?"

You hum a bit – not even sure yourself.
As you stand here, your memories are slowly filling in – What DO you want to do, anyway? You aren't sure, even with what little memories you're getting about this place - All you can really remember at the moment is that the place you're in is called Gensokyo, and the girl in front of you is important and probably safe.
The girl starts tapping her foot, impatiently, but this goes unnoticed by you. "What is your name anyway?" You ask, managing to work a questioning lilt into your voice - This is hard, considering you don't even feel the curiosity you remember feeling.
"
It's Hakurei Reimu, now tell me yours." You think, hard. You aren't sure. What is it, anyway? You have a few different voices in your head, echoing your own thoughts– are they your own thoughts? You aren't really sure.
They haven't seemed to say much else - Do they only talk sometimes?
"I'm actually not sure. I should probably come up with one soon. For now, you can call me Stella!" You end the last part in a bright chirp, emotion suddenly filling you. "I think I'm starting to exist? I'm not really sure, but I just felt an emotion!"
Reimu looks even more confused and is starting to look worried now, mumbling something about incidents. "Well, you should probably come inside for now while I figure out what to do with you – Thankfully, Suika's still out, so you shouldn't have to deal with her in a bit." You wonder - Oh wait, you can just ask her! "Who's Suika?" You question, with real confusion entering your voice. "A drunk oni. Hope you don't meet."
// What's your goals?

I've always had trouble writing with length, so if you have any ideas, please tell me.
Any criticism is appreciated.

>Figure out more about Reimu and what she does.
>Ask Reimu lots of questions. Where is her shrine? What other places are? etc.

We need to know a bit more about what's going on around us before we can take action IC.
