Shortly after her 30th birthday she was headhunted as a candidate for captain. During training and testing her adaptability was a key factor in the final decision to appoint her as the captain. Tall, skinny with blonde hair and brown eyes. Always calm, however with a note in her medical file about her workaholic nature.

A short bodybuilder noted for excessive obedience to superiors, they were considered a good fit with the captain. Unshakable loyalty is combined with hatred for betrayal, they are committed to the mission.

When he was 24 he was part of the international team restructuring Australia's collapsing medical system, and became famous as the most successful. Very passionate in personality, however he has been criticised for a tendency to suggest more tests than the patient needs. In appearance he resembles a K-drama actor.
-[X] Parasite Command (and head of diplomacy) : Guinevere Redgrave . 29 year old woman. A Canadian who worked for the UN as a diplomat, and had a hobby of piloting ultralight aircraft. Due to travel time and the lack of alien signals it is anticipated that her sole role will be to pass on her skills to the next generation. Her psychologist husband was offered a position in the ship's medical department and after discussing it they both agreed.

Born to an Iranian mother and Indonesian father, his parents refused to divorce on religious grounds and instead competed over their children. He was 10 when Child Protective Services removed him and his dozen siblings. An extremely talented bureaucrat, with a dry sense of wit and highly successful at negotiating. He is generally known by the nickname Yes Minister, and people have been shocked at how much he looks like a young Nigel Hawthorne. He is stubborn and unbending in personal matters, an inversion of his professional style.

Born in Brasília, the first time he left the city was to attend the training courses for the ship. He graduated with honours as a Doctor of Engineering (D.Eng) from Centro Universitário de Brasília, as well as three engineering (computer, robotics & mechanical) bachelor degrees. Bombastic and friendly, behind his easy going nature lies a sharp and ruthless mind.
-[X] Head of Security . Jaqueline Hide . 30 year old woman . Soft spoken and a dedicated communist, she is a strong believer that all conflicts can be solved by a combination of education and enforcement. As a teenager she was a notorious hacker activist, and successfully kept it secret through the first few background checks. She ended the hacking career when one of the corrupt companies she targeted collapsed disastrously. Her adulthood career of designing automated security (surveillance cameras, biometrics, tasers etc) was the basis for her selection. Black hair and always wearing a suit, she looks like a stereotypical American gov spook. Mission planners nearly rejected her on the fact she kept her piercings and most of her tattoos that could hide beneath her clothes, fearing that it indicated her dedication to law enforcement was only surface level. Psychological assessment stated that it was aesthetic choice, and anticipate that she will start adding back her facial piercings (tongue, ears, etc) in a decade as she grows comfortable with her position.
