Waking Up
The first thing you notice as you wake up is how fuzzy your mouth feels, almost as if someone had tried to force feed you cotton balls and failed. You work your jaw and click your tongue to try and get rid of the feeling but it stays with you as you drag yourself to a wakeful state.
The light stung your eyes as you worked them open and your body felt heavy as you tried to sit up, only to let out a hiss of pain as you awkwardly shifted your apparently suspended foot. Looking at the overly bandaged, in your opinion, foot you briefly wondered what had happened.
Then you mind recalls that brief flash of a fight before pain made you black out.
That had really fucking hurt!
It also explained why you were in the hospital, and the painkillers hooked up to your arm explain why your head felt so murky. Looking around the room, absently noting how plain the room looked, you found a big red button near your bed with label 'Call Nurse' on it. Wanting to figure out what was going on and when you could leave you press the button near immediately.
A handful of seconds later a woman in purple nurse clothes, scrubs if TV hasn't lied to you, came bustling into the room. She gave you a smile you were half convinced was fake, "You're awake early, that's good." She pressed some buttons on the machines near you, some of them stopped beeping so you guessed that was a good thing. "How are you feeling? Foot bugging you too much?"
"Uh, no. It's not that bad. Head's woozy though."
"Hmmm," She said almost absently, pulling out a slim flashlight and shined it in your eyes. "Your pupils are dilating, so that's good. No concision at least. You're probably just feeling the painkillers." Snapping the light off she continued to speak, "Alright, just a few more test and questions and we'll go get your mom, sound good?"
"My mom's here?"
"Yep, she's talking with some men from the City, don't know much more than that. Now I need you to..."
Ten minutes later and after answering a dozen annoying questions you finally got to see your mom. She was still wearing her uniform from the grocery store and looked more harried than usual but the look on her face when she saw was nothing less than ecstatic.
"Hey Ma." You manage to say as she wraps her arms around you, carefully so she didn't disturb your leg, for a tight hug.
"Hey Sweetie." She said, still holding that bright smile you saw earlier. "How are feeling?"
"Decent, I guess... Did they tell you how long I'm going to have to have this wrapped up?"
"Not for another hour!" She said cheerily confusing the hell out of you. Said confusion must have been plain on your face because your it looked like your Mom had to smother a giggle, "The State is paying Para-Medic to heal you as part of a settlement for being hurt in an ongoing chase of a State Sponsored Hero."
"That's... good?"
"Yes, yes it is because now you don't have to be bedridden for weeks and I don't have to take time off. They've also put a few more dollars towards college fund which always good." She gave you a look with that last statement, the usual look she gave you when she mentioned school and she thought you could be doing better.
"Explains why you're so calm at least." You mumble, more expecting your mom to be freaking out over your injury than anything else.
For a few more minutes you and your Mom talked, mostly about how you were feeling and the settlement. From the sound of things your mom threw out any ideas of suing as soon as the city's lawyers mentioned having the local big name Healer patch you up, which was good you supposed but getting a huge sum of money from the city wouldn't have been too bad either.
Eventually though your talk was interrupted by a knock on your doorway, looking up you find yourself with a welcome sight. A domino masked woman wearing a formfitting red scrubs under a lab coat that seemed to billowing as she walked in. "Hi there, I'm Pare-Medic. Are the Brennans?"
"Yes we are." Your mom said, standing up and moving to shake the Healer's hand. "It's nice to meet you."
"I'm sure." She said, smile lopsided as she gave your mom's hand a brief squeeze. "Better than having trapped in bed for a few months at least."
Seeing your Mom smile at the joke made the woman give a satisfied nod before she moves on, "Now, before I dispense with the healing there are just a few things we need to go over. The first thing I need you to understand is that my power is that it has the chance of causing slight mutation."
"Mutation?" You say, not liking the sound of that.
"Nothing major, most people just end up with slightly off colored hair or skin in the area I'm healing. There may be a change in you appetite for a while but otherwise you'll be fine."
"That doesn't sound too bad..."
"Right?" The woman said with a smile, "Now, while I'm sure your mom already signed all the necessary paperwork work I still like to ask. Do I have your permission to heal you?"
"Yeah, sure." You said easily, thinking darker skin on your foot is better than being stuck in a bed for who knows how long.
"Great," She said with a clap, "Now, first things first, we need to get these bandages off!"
And with a flourish Para-Medic brandished a pair of scissors from her lab coat. Within a minute she had cut through the white cloth concealing your foot, revealing a mess of flesh that wouldn't look out of place on a Frankenstein monster.
"Oooh, that does look nasty!" The Healer said, "Luckily for you I can fix that right up." Letting out a long and steady breath, allowing a sea green glow to trickle out from her hand.
You watched curiously as the light drifted down and seeped into his skin. As you watched the skin of your foot knit back together you felt a warm tingle work its way deeper into your foot.
"Is it supposed to tingle?" You ask, starting to feel uncomfortable as you felt your bones twist and mend themselves into place. The strangest feeling came when your toes snapped back into place.
"Just a little. It should fade in a few seconds."
But that tingling never went away, instead it just got worse. It got more intense as it started to spread away from your foot. Creeping its ways up your leg, into your spine, and filling your entire body in short order. It felt like your bones were moving, shifting beneath your skin and swelling under some unknown pressure.
"I feel, I feel weird." Your jaw felt... strange. It wasn't in pain or hard to move, it was just strange. You would almost call it Wrong. "Is it supposed to tingle everywhere?"
Para-Medic immediately stopped her Quirk, "What? No! My power doesn't work like that." The Healer whipped her head towards your Mom, "Does he have any other medical problems?"
"N-no! He was perfectly healthy before the accident!"
What ever they said next was drowned out as you felt your bones literally vibrate, creating bass like sound that nearly covered the panicked sounds escaping your throat.

Your powers have awakened!
But how have they changed you?
Pick Two:
[] You look about the same
[] Your skin has turned a purplish-brown, your hair has turned a darker shade on that purple-brow, and your eyes have turned a snowy grey.
[] Dull one inch bone spikes are sticking out of the Knee/Elbow and Hip/Shoulder, and half inch ones along the vertebra of the thoracic part of the spine and on the Wrist/Ankle
