Voting's closed, but for this once I added you to the tally. May it forever confuse future readers.
Damm! i missed Vote time!

Was going to go for

[x] The Reporter
[x] The Caped Figure

Because, untapped Genius + introducing a whole new field for Tony to research. If Black Panther can do this
Genius-level Intellect: T'Challa is also a polymath genius and has an eidetic (aka photographic) memory[citation needed]. His genius is as such that he is one of the eight smartest people on Earth.[24] He possesses accomplishments such as a PhD in physics from Oxford University. He also combined alchemy with science to create a new scientific field called Shadow Physics, a dangerous discipline which allowed him to track vibranium on a quantum level, craft weapons which would be particularly effective against vibranium, and create an unstable teleportation device which at the time ripped apart anyone using it with great healing ability.
Imagine what Tony can do with magic under his belt! Also, Doom, Tony can be Good Doom, magic + science together!

How much of an asshole is Reed Richards anyway?
Ok, I want you to imagine the biggest asshole you know. Now, I want you to break them down into their constituent parts, and multiply those by ten. Then multiply all the parts by then. Then put them all together and multiply by infinity.

Although he does get vaguely better later on.

Man, after browsing other quests, my updates suddenly seem startlingly long. -snort- By the way, if you have any ideas about how you're gonna fight anyone at this point, get cracking. Lacking any of the canon advantages, I wish you good luck at not getting everyone killed. XD
I hope nobody minds my verboseness? I already mostly do two choices, I guess...
Well since we're at BigBrain Con, I suspect any plan we make will effectively boil down to this...

Plus the cost would such for adamantium that even Stark would likely balk. Remember, it cost the U.S. Government in X-men Origins half a billion in 1979 dollars just to turn Logan's bones into the stuff, a full power suit would need more by a lot. Though, I wonder if we could maybe look into opening talks with T'Chala? Of course any suit we make will need some sort of hard armor in it, likely Chobham based, and fully sealed against NBC and rated for hard vacuum and deep sea.
Chobham is a better choice then you relize. if my memory is right Chobham uses cemetrics. if we can make the frame of the suit non-metallic, figure out carbon computing for the electronics and get some kind of magnetic shielding around the arc reactor we could take on Magneto.

In case of a situation at the event:
  • Run to the super hot redheaded woman on Tony's mind. Because she needs protecting. She's probably not a combat-savvy assassin or anything like that.
  • If Tony is confronted, bluff the arc reactor. It's all he's got that's vaguely threatening, no one really knows what it is other than that it glows.
  • Phone call for help. Because.
If nothing happens at the event then whatever.
The woman is almost certainly Jean Grey, and the man is probably Scott.

And why should we do the overcomplicated engineering plan to redesign our whole gear instead of using a non metalic tranqualizer shot kilometers away outside Magneto's power range or any of the simple alternatives like non-lethal chemical or bio-weapons we can throw at him and capture him when he is not able to put up a fight.

I'm up for using an orbital laser.

I have a devious plan.

Ok so you know how we made the quip about Reed's constant need for grants? And then he quipped about what he could do with our budget?

Lets put our money where our mouth is. We bank roll him with a bet as the terms of the money. The person with the most innovative Earth to orbit platform, as decided by a series of independent judges wins. The terms are simple, He wins, we back him for 5 years. Frankly this would be a pittance to us so w/e. We win, and we most likely will what with the Ion thrusters and Ark reactor, he works directly for us. Any little project we need ironed out or taken care of he has to do. It would be on a fair contract of course, likely around 150K a year, but still that's not really a dip in our cash reserves.

Or we just bankroll him, period, and pay him whatever salary is reasonable in exchange for his patents.

Thus a bet to appease the egos. One way or another Reeds produces something. The first he does it for us, as directed by us. The other we get access to whatever he decides to make, but no real control over what that is.

So far the only "crossover" I've seen is the Marvel Cinematic Universe (Earth-199999) and the Main Marvel Comic Universe (Earth-616).
How about we just say that it's a new universe (technically every fanfic should have one of these anyway), with a different number of its own, characterized by being broadly similar to the MCU itself in terms of its timeline and technology level, but including [generally matching the same tone] versions of characters that aren't in the MCU.

Remains to be seen how closely the F4 characters match those of Earth-126198, how closely the X-Men characters (if any) match Earth-10005, and how closely the Spiderman characters match Earth-96283 and/or Earth-120703. If they all do match their counterparts we can call it a "hybrid movieverse" variant.

No idea how the author plans to square mutants vs AOS's "gifted" though.

Let's do it.

Right, that's why I used "" around crossover. It's not so much a crossover as it is a new universe.

I appreciate the semi-realistic take that the MCU has taken to the marvelverse, cutting down on crazy excesses and lacking some of the sillier background lore, but allowing plenty of room for the outrageous anyway. (I mean, Thor happens in this 'verse) Regarding the FF, Spidey and the like, I am mostly staying relatively close to the mainstream characterizations, even if storyline-wise things might be different. E.g. the X-Men and mutants in general are not commonly known yet.

Re: AoS, honestly I think we can deal with SHIELD having weird names for things. They're oddballs, what can you say. ;)

Right. S.H.I.E.L.D has the helicarrier already right? Do they have planes to defend it yet?

or AA defences, like Repulsors?

[X] The Reporter : The reporter is still hanging around, and he's probably aiming to ask for permission to use the photo he made of your little fight with Richards - a rookie mistake for someone from the paparazzi. Although you're doubtful the reporter would have much to add as far as technology went, having an in with the media that's not a total shill might be worth a lot.
-[x] Take the Reporter on a Meet and Greet with the big players

[X] Henry 'Hank' M'coy
i want an in to mutants

Vote's closed - but anyway, I don't think you'll spot a blue hairy mutant just randomly wandering around. :p

Yeah Tony is pretty true to his earlier years in MCU, but there are times when you realise he is quite close to his comic-book counterpart in terms of sheer, belief-breaking absurdity.

I mean for Thor's sake the guy builds a particle accelerator. In his house. And then synthesises a new element with it.

And I will gladly proclaim that I find RDJ's Tony Stark a more sympathetic character than the 616 version of recent years.
