Stark Transcendent (Iron Man/Marvel Quest)

[X] The Reporter : The reporter is still hanging around, and he's probably aiming to ask for permission to use the photo he made of your little fight with Richards - a rookie mistake for someone from the paparazzi. Although you're doubtful the reporter would have much to add as far as technology went, having an in with the media that's not a total shill might be worth a lot.
-[x] Take the Reporter on a Meet and Greet with the big players

[x] Henry 'Hank' Pym : You haven't seen him yet, but Henry was the one who gave you an invitation, so it's probably nice to go and have a word in thanks. As an expert in miniaturization, it's pretty likely that Pym's got a lot to offer when it comes to small-scale applications of your technologies, ideal for mobile use.

And by the time the second movie comes around, there's literally no sign of that decrease.

Meaning Tony turned it around in months. Hell, I wouldn't put it past him to have turned a profit.
I would like to point out that was a movie and thus not adherent to any form of financial logic whatso ever. No its better to let the Arc Reactors into the market and then draw back on the military contracts. But not all of them. We'd probably still be ok with small arms. And we still need to get them lesser power armor.

I wonder if we can make the space flight armor and upstage Reed by knocking on his windshield in space by the time his space mission is due...

Would totaly be Tony's style.

Better idea. What we should do is, on the big day when he's due for his spaceflight, we hack into all the major networks and switch all the feeds to show our own launch pad, on which is an even better pace plane.

Eat your heart our Reed.

Assuming we can get some engines that can run off the Arc Reactor on the plane, it'll be a cinch, PLUS more room for cargo/passengers.

Well, remember this bit:
*snip video*

Technically the Iron Man suits can. Just need to work on reentry.
The suit was beat to hell by that time.

The suit should have no problem with reentry even if he doesn't instal any heat shielding because the repulsors would be able to apply enough thrust to slow him down to speeds where air friction is not a problem.

How is a different spaceplane gonna upstage Reed more than building a single stage Surface-to-Orbit Space SUIT!?!?

list of priorities
  1. arc reactors
  2. move company slowly away from mil contracts by not renewing them and getting in on other markets with our latest starktech devices
  3. get parker
  4. wipe that smug look off Reed's face when his plane gets upstaged by whatever we develop for space travel and colonization
Considering what happens at the inaugural flight of Reed's spaceship in canon, you might want to avoid getting too close. Unless you want to be randomly bodyswapped with yourself from another crazy dimension. :p

Don't forget 5) Get giant Stark Industries logos painted across the spaceplane an hour before launch.

I don't remember bodyswamping? Is this some info from in-depth sources?

All I remember cosmic storm gave them super-powers. Something Tony could easily avoid as his suit would be ready to take him far away as soon as he can get to a airlock.

...I thought we would just get superpowers. :(
That's actually one go-to explanation for why they got powers. They got crazy trans-dimensional bodies from other versions of themselves (or something like that) when very briefly their mind and body were separated by crazy space hijinks. Reasons!

I can't remember where that is from, I'll go see if I misremember or if it's just from an elseworld explanation. In any case, I was going to go with mainstream, I just thought it was neat. :p

EDIT : I'm thinking of the Ultimate Fantastic Four, with the N-Zone.

He's making a joke.

I'll vote for this, but I am obligated to request we speak with Dr. Strange at some point during this conference. It's just too big an opportunity to miss.

I have a question.

How close is Bruce Banner in intellect to certain of his comic versions? If I recall, in certain comic storylines, you had some of the smartest guys in Marvel (Stark, Reed, etc) losing their shit at the sophistication of his tech when he wasn't Hulking out or trying to find ways to stop himself from Hulking out. The dude was literally running rings around all the heavy hitters.

Seriosuly, I think there should be some limit on the level how much a mad scientist a human can get.

This is leading to DBZ power creep levels, but with IQ points or technology.

I don't want ridiculous level where Reed can spam Cosmic Cubes or Tony can build armors that can bust planets.

if you can come up with a way to get him on payroll I will agree to vote for it. however barring a lab/sanctum far from major population centers where he can tinker away to his hearts content I got nothing.
Well, we are planning to build a moon base, aren't we...

Making a Cosmic Cube is not easily done, and Tony never made a suit that was a planet buster unless you count that suit that Tony made that had a piece of Asgardian technology in it.

In the grim darkness of the future there is only science.

Can't find my original vote - adding meet and greet and formatting it to match everyone else's.

[X] The Caped Figure : Who wears a little red cape, anyway? Ever? You're intrigued, and since you haven't actually seen the man before, he might have expertise in pretty much anything, even fields so esoteric you haven't even thought of them yet.

You know, we could make our suit out of, in part at least, Darwin Bark Spider silk, all we need is to talk to Pym about his ideas for fancy head gear.

This is spacebattles, having Taylor wander in seems like it's par for the course at this point. ;) Seriously though, no crossovering. Also, why are you looking for spoilers?

If our suit doesn't end up being made of adamantium or something equally bullshit, I will be personally insulted.

So, do we have enough votes for an update? Or do we need to wait till tomorrow?
