Stargate: How the Wraith should be portrayed ?

As the Title goes what do you think how the Wraith should have been. How I would have portrayed them:

Created by the Ancients as an experiment in immortality these human Icarus bug hybrids were tortured into existence with their only "flaw" being the feeding on ascended potential (every Ancient or human has potential to Ascend, Wraith feed on it to live, AND gaining a measure of "resistance/immunity" against Ascended powers), so instead of reversing the early stages of this transformation they decided to just kill them and in their arrogance failed to exterminate the Wraith.

Traumatised, starving and with a reason to hate the Ancients they hid, prepared and developed to one day deal with their uncaring "creators".

Century or two later when their numbers grew in secrecy Wraith developed their own version of technology (biomechanical/organic tech) mostly geared towards versatility and adaptation thus compensating for technological difference between them and the Ancients, with their Hives being more like series final Super-hive: And mobile fortress/city that can take on an Ancient fleet and come out top.

+ after 10'000 years internal schism: some want to "find a cure" to their feeding, while majority's still "cyclic feeding"

tl;dr
In my case, bit more like Yuuzhan Vong from Star Wars: sudden, aggressive, complex.

Personally? Less "Human Hybrids with a fucking weird bug", more "HOLY FUCKING SHIT, ALIENS!". I can deal with Wraiths running around and looking vaguely human, but I wouldn't have them be Human. More like bio-constructed drones, or even recycled humans (something has to be done with remains; just mix a standard Wraith template onto it, and voila! A corpse made imto a warrior, with perhaps remnants of the original mind deep underneath the new personality) being utilized by the Wraith—which in actuality are more Xenomorph-y, if not physically then in tone.

As for Ancient involvement; the Wraith were in Pegasus first, they butted heads withh the Ancients on philosophical grounds ("Ascend to another realm"!? And give up eating!? What the fuck are you people!?) and generally territorial disputes, cue a full-out war (Wraith do well for sheernumbers and the brutality of their tactics; basically a Meat Grinder gone mad) until the Ancients went away and the Wraith hibernate to restore themselves.

Mind you, I would also have Pegasus have a more alien presence, but that's besides the question.

As for their "structure" Queens are still leaders with *much* stronger mental powers (telepathy, hallucination, ~mind reading~) on a large scale, with "princesses" as their direct aids/right hands/successors, Commanders/Scientists are independent high-ranking "officers" that advance their tactics and science (looking at you Todd/Guide), Keepers and a form of medical personnel (for both organics and tech), "Warriors" are fighters and worker-drones, etc.

Their technology requires Wraith or Wraithkin DNA to operate, so while Wraith can access and learn to operate other technologies, Atlantis expedition can't just steal and use their tech from the get-go (except Teyla, but their tech still has other protective measures).

While "territorial" they are more prone to cooperating than in the series, and most disputes between them are dealt with talks, or trade, but there are still some divisions

IDK if this is ripping off but Stargate-Modding-Group has given some interesting variety to Wraith ships, buildings, stations, and even "hero units" can be viewed here
