The second Death Star has been destroyed, the Emperor is dead, and the Galaxy is aflame. Now is your time to seize power in a backwater system and begin your rise. Long simmering tensions have exploded into a storm of violence. All semblance of Imperial Authority has vanished as power hungry warlords make their own bids for power. Where there was once a thriving Galactic community now there are only squabbling micro-states, rarely larger than a half dozen systems in size.

Even the Rebel Alliance is not immune to this fracturing, as much of their leadership that survived the destruction of Yavin IV died during the assault on the second Death Star.

Beware, for the galaxy is a more dangerous place than ever. Attempting to act on knowledge of a future that can no longer come to pass will bear bitter fruit.

Cobra Heavy Torpedo Boat (semi-canon) [Bonus Used]
I would love to get my hands on an X-wing license.
I think we just have to give up on assuming we will ever be handed competitive and cutting edge military technology at this point. We sure as hell have seen no signs of ever getting it.

And tbh, the Viper Mk. II easily seems somewhere below the TIE/In and the X-Wing but above everything else generally. It has a significantly lighter armament by comparison to either, but laser cannons are perfectly lethal in this sort of environment.

Anyways, here's my attempt to write up a design that isn't too blatantly overpowered:

Crew

Pilot and Copilot (2)
Gunners (4)
Weapons Officer (1)
Marine complement (9)
Total: 16

Additional Features:
A ventrally mounted extendable boom rack capable of attaching an element of Vipers along through hyperspace, does not allow Viper pilots access to ship while deployed

Design Notes:
The Cobra mounts relatively heavy energy weapons under the expectation that the Ion Cannon and prow laser cannons cannot be sustained in tandem, with it's power plant only capable of supplying both weapon systems with power for a limited time without compromising thrust or shielding.

Cimtar's munitions industries is relatively nascent, and deliberately kept so in the past by Imperial protocols, these forays into local munitions development have been promising, but required compromise. The anti-fighter missiles boast solid tracking and a reasonable warhead, but have limited range compared to some galactic standard missiles as a result. The anti-ship missiles boast a surprisingly massive warhead at the expense of both range and tracking- one designer stating "What's the point of arming a ship with heavy shields and ion cannons if it's not trying to create a sitting duck"

So, I figured if we were grabbing a relatively utilitarian looking space fighter reference, we should grab a fairly utilitarian gun/missile ship. Yeah, I'm aware that the Vulture is intended to operate in atmosphere and has exhaust ports that don't necessarily fit a spaceship- but so did the Deathstar, so I'm not going to let that ruin it for me. Bairringer shipyards is a reference to Bollinger, which makes both commercial freighters and small naval vessels- and I'm running with the assumption our merchant shipyards are going to be the ones primarily offering tenders because they're the only ones with anything resembling experience producing something along these lines. It's smaller than the Vulture actually is, but it's actually the same length-width ratio.

@Jalinth commented how the Empire deliberately tried to cripple weapon industries that they viewed as threatening outside of select, well controlled manufacturing centers. That's why turbolasers are a pain in the ass for us, and I imagine it's hit the military grade explosives field a bit as well, considering assault concussion missiles are notable for being great at attacking capital ships... and planetary bombardment. So I figure it's a lot harder to suppress all industry and know-how for explosives than it is turbo-lasers, but ours are probably a bit behind the galactic standard. The design isn't intended to be a lemon by any means, but it's definitely supposed to be a case of a solid but dated platform that relatively radical design decisions were implemented on to try and make it a bit more competitive.

TLDR: It can carry ~a squad of marines for boarding and customs, it's got a big honking ion cannon to use to help boarding/customs if need be or to setup for a missile strike. It's got anemic anti-fighter weapons, but it can carry an element of Vipers... but it can't carry them for very long.

Omake Meeting Between Former Rebels (canonicity TBD) [Bonus Used]
Omake Meeting Between Former Rebels.

Commander Krysta Agate leaned against the monitor while sipping caf and reading the report from the long range Y-wing patrol that had been sent out after the ship had received an old Rebel signal coming from the Toors system which was literally in the remotest part of the Reach.

It was sheer coincidence that they had even picked up the signal at all while passing through Feena. They had had to drop out of hyperspace momentarily to switch course to enter the Feena Run while on the way to Cimtar over 3 weeks before.

Unfortunately due to time constraints they had been unable to send a patrol until now, but once they had settled in and started anti pirate Patrols, a long distance Y-Wing scout had been dispatched to investigate the signal and then found the source of the signal. Apparently there was a badly damaged and derelict alliance space station in orbit.

From what the scans had shown, The station looked intact, but there were signs of heavy damage from weapons fire and asteroid strikes. The mystery was why it was still there, Rebellion Standard operating procedure was that once discovery was known or anticipated. The station was to be evacuated and self-destructed.

But apparently that had not happened. Looking in what records her flagship Blue Suns computer's had. There were only fragmentary reports of there being a station in the system but nothing about what happened to it or how it came to be there.

There was also wreckage from a quartet of Tartan Class patrol cruisers and an Arquitens class command cruiser which suggested that the patrol had stumbled upon the starbase and the two sides had wiped each other out. That plus time did sort of explain the damage. From what the scans showed.

No one had gotten off any of the Imperial Warships. Some survivors may have ejected from the space station in escape pods but chances of their survival after so long was slim to none.

None of the imperial warships were salvageable being as badly destroyed as they were. That station had apparently put up a hell of a fight even without its usual garrison of a MC90 Corvette and fighter squadrons. As for them, there was no sign and nothing in the records about what might have happened to that group.

And then there was the big one and the biggest cause of her current headache. Lieutenant Yogar Lyste of the Imperial Navy. Or according to Commander Pez Kerzik who had known him from when he had served alongside him on the former rebel base on Attolon, The missing member of the infamous Ghost crew of the defunct Phoenix Cell and one of only 2 left in the galaxy if Commander Skywalker was still alive. Jedi Knight Ezra Bridger.

Unfortunately due to time constraints and both of them being busy, they had been unable to properly talk about certain subjects that needed answers. But now the time had come and Commander Bridger would be arriving in her office shortly. It was a conversation she was both looking forward too and dreading.

Both because she had no idea how much Ezra knew of the current situation, or how long he had been back, and many more questions besides. With a sigh she than straightened up and headed for her office where Ezra would be meeting her shortly. "I'll be in my office, let me know if anything changes" She instructed the OoD as she walked past. "Ma'am" The OoD responded in reply while keeping a watchful eye on the bridge.

Ezra walked through the halls of the Blue Suns ship alongside Kerzik and relaxed a bit. He was no longer surrounded by Imperials but fellow Rebels even if they were not part of his former group except Pez Kerzik who Ezra had been surprised to find on board. Commander Kerzik had obviously been surprised to see him on the opposite side of the com channel when they were first negotiating the Mercenary Contract via their usual rebel contact in the area who had firmly insisted that this was one they needed to take.

Their reunion had both been joyous and strained. Make no mistake Pez was happy to see Ezra again, but it had been 5 years. And things had changed a lot since they had parted ways on Yavin IV. It was honestly the same for Ezra since he had not been able to contact any of his rebel Contacts until he found one of the surviving contacts who had happily pointed him at the Blue Suns Irregulars upon his request to find a trustworthy Mercenary group to hire temporarily. That fact that the group was composed of former Rebels was coincidental.

Once Kerzik had informed her of whom he had recognized and talked too. Commander Agate had immediately signed the contract and told him to set a course for Cimtar. And then had the fleet under way within 6 hours. And then she had pulled up Commander Bridgers file. From what she read, of which much was censored due to his position as a Jedi and his duties being along those lines, there wasn't much to find out. He had led a few raids here and there but for the most part had been out of sight with his master

His former leader, General Hera Syndulla had been at Endor, but again Krysta didn't know if she had survived. Something which she sort of regretted since Mr. Bridger would want some information about the remaining members of his cell before he had disappeared with Grand Admiral Thrawn and his fleet,

When Mr, Bridger entered the room, his mere presence was powerful. The man came to attention and saluted without being prompted with a military perfect salute after stopping at the other side of her desk. "You didn't have to do that Ezra." She commented idly with a sad smile and a reciprocated salute.

"I wanted too, It's been so long since I've been around other Rebels and not have to hide who and what I really was. And before you ask, No I can't come with you. The force needs me here." he responded after a moment and looking uncomfortable.

"Take a seat please and let's get this over with." she remarked while pointing at the chair he was standing next too which he promptly sat in. After taking a moment to collect her thought she looked at him with a stern look. "How much do you know of what's happened after the Battle of Lothal Mr Bridger?" She asked.

He nodded, and after a moment started speaking while looking her in the eyes. "Not much, Just the basics from what records I could find in computers on Cimtar. The battles of Scarif and Yavin IV. The destruction of Alderaan and Yavin IV right before Luke Skywalker destroyed the thing. I know of the Battle of Hoth and the subsequent retreat. And the defeats of the rebel fleet at Derra IV and at the Mak-to Space docks. And finally the battle of Endor where the Emperor and Darth Vader died." Ezra explained.

Krysta frowned. "Mostly correct, but I do need to correct your knowledge, apparently. The Empire did find the Mak-To Dockyards but didn't destroy it. The fleet had ample warning and almost all the docked ships and the personnel on the station were able to escape before the Empire could gather a fleet to destroy the station. Admiral Ackbar led the defense and evacuation and by the time the Imperial fleet arrived almost 87% of the rebel presence in the system had escaped. And what remained were personnel on ships that could not be moved because they were either still under construction at the time or were under repair and could not be made space worthy in so short a time. Hence, why the Station and ships were scuttled as per SOP. And those were hastily boarding what few evacuee ships were left. When the Imperial fleet led by Darth Vader dropped out of Hyperspace." She explained.

Ezra nodded. "I see, I take it you were there for the first stage but left before the Imperial fleet arrived?" he asked. Kyrsta nodded in response. "I was but was ordered out. What reports I read from the survivors including those on home one. The defensive battle was a disaster with Admiral Akbar only able to escape due to using his slashing strategy to get what ships he could out. Unfortunately it didn't work as well as he had hoped and only 14% of the remaining rebels in the system survived and none got off the station or escaped on the evacuee ships. The imperials were not merciful that day. They apparently were eager to finish off the Rebel presence in the system since I assume that they had realized that the majority had already escaped" Krysta explained.

"What can you tell me about Luke Skywalker" Ezra asked "I assume he would have been there at some point." Agate raised an eyebrow at the question that seemingly came out of the blue. "He was, but his unit was ordered out during the early states since Darth Vader was now known to be looking for him for some reason." Krysta answered. Ezra narrowed his eyes at that part. "I see, thanks for the information about him. It'll be awhile, but I really hope I meet him someday." He finally answered.

Krysta nodded. I hope you get to talk to him too Ezra. We and more importantly the galaxy need the Jedi and so far as I know. you're the last one" She answered. Ezra suddenly smirked mysteriously "There are others out there. But I don't know who or where they are." he replied. Agate stared at him for a moment than dismissed it as irrelevant. Then she looked at him with a stern look.

After a moment of contemplation Ezra shifted in place on his seat. " Well I guess it my turn than." he remarked seriously. "After the purgill pulled the Chimera into hyperspace with me and Grand Admiral Thrawn on board." he began. As Commander Krysta listened she made note of any comments from Ezra about what he had seen and done during his trip into the unknown reaches and eventual meeting with the Chiss, and then return to Known space while riding a Purgill into the Cimtar system, while compiling a list of questions to ask him "After I convinced the local leadership I was Yogar Lyste of the Lothal garrison I was welcomed into their temporary service until contact could be made with command. He finished grimly with a shadowed look in his eyes. "But Endor happened." she finished grimly. "And Endor happened." he said quieter.

After a moment of quiet contemplation Ezra straightened back up and looked her in the eyes again. "Do you know what became of my friends in the Ghost crew?" he asked. Krysta shook her head. "I'm sorry, I don't know much other than General Syndulla fought at Endor. As for the rest, your guess is as good as mine." She answered apologetically. Ezra nodded in response. After a few minutes of perfunctory questions between them the meeting came to an end.

"Ezra I want you to know that you will always have a place in my unit if you need it. We Rebels have to stick together." Krysta said while standing up from her chair. "Thank you ma'am" he answered as he went to stand up. Krysta picked up the datapad she had been reading before and offered it to him. "What's this" he asked curiously

"That's a report from a long distance Y-Wing scout we sent to the Toors system investigating a very faint rebel signal we picked up by sheer accident. Apparently at some point prior to Yavin IV's destruction someone had built an Alliance spacestation there, from what the Scout picked up. The station was attacked by a large imperial patrol and both sides destroyed each other which explains why there is no mention of it in our records or imperial ones for that matter. I can only assume that the station was destroyed around the time that the Battle of Yavin happened hence why no one noticed that it had gone silent. Or why the Imperials did not investigate the disappearance of their patrol.

I don't know what you might find on the station but its intact enough that something might be recoverable. Unfortunately the same can't be said for the Imperial patrol. All 5 ships were so badly destroyed that I do not recommend any salvage attempts on them. The station on the other hand might have something, but it's not one I would bet on." Krysta explained.

Ezra took the Datapad and looked at it for a moment before putting it in his pocket. "I'll pass it along at some point, but I want to verify it first." he explained. "Fair enough, May the Force be with you Ezra Bridger." she answered with a nod. "And with you ma'am" With a final salute Ezra left the room leaving her to her thoughts.

Commander Agate turned and walked to the window to look out and think. She didn't put much thought into the force but with the way things were now. The Pyrrhic victory at Endor, Commander Skywalker's current status whether he was alive or dead. Ezra's return and then his mysterious comment on there being other Jedi around. It made her wonder.

And then there was all the questions she had about Grand Admiral Thrawn and the Chiss not to mention the missing fleet of his. But those were questions for another day and another time. Right now they were just not as important anymore, what with the galaxy being on fire and everyone fighting everyone. Krysta really hoped that the surviving Rebel leadership had a plan if they were still alive.

Subject: Tuk'ata (canonicity TBD) [Bonus Used]
University of Cimtar
Department of Xenobiology

Subject: Tuk'ata

The Force-sensitive Tuk'ata, or Sith Hounds, were used for thousands of years to guard the tombs of the Dark Lords of the Sith on Korriban.

Posessing triple rows of teeth, six inch claws, and three horns. They can move on four legs or two, and have two winglike extensions--not functional wings, but poisonous stingers.

Unusually intelligent, they seem capable of communicating with one another through unknown means. Multiple experiments attempting to uncover this mystery usually end with multiple maimed &/or wounded would-be researchers. (We reccomend multiple shots from heavy blaster pistols or blaster rifles upon hostile encounters. Also shoot them in the head to make sure they're dead! The bastards love to play dead and go for your throats when you get close.)

It is claimed in unverifiable ancient legends that originally the species were non-violent grazing animals before being corrupted by Sith alchemy experiments that awakened latent parts of their brain which transformed them into unnatural abominations.

Considering that many were sealed inside the tombs themselves, it is speculated by Xenoarcheologists that they were immortal or drew nourishment from the Force itself, though this cannot be verified. It is also possible that they survived by feeding on small vermin or other creatures that infested the tombs as decay and time created new openings in the stone walls though this is even less likely given the energy-to-mass ratio of the beast itself in comparison to the speculated prey.

The local population of Tuk'ata on Cimtar are a non-indigenous species descended from pets of Ancient Sith Lords from the period roughly between 3681 BBY & 3653 BBY when the planet was part of the Sith Empire.

Viewed by rural Cimtareans as omens of death & misfortune, local supersitition states that at the passing of a notable person a Tuk'ata may appear, followed by all the other canines of the local area in a kind of funeral procession, heralding the person's death with howling and barking. If anyone were to get in the beast's way it would strike out with its claws and leave wounds that never healed.

This is of course utter nonsense as there has been no historical and medical records of such an incident. Merely fear and mass hystaria from their territory being in the most notorious abandoned mining claims on the planet.

Omake: Forgotten Hero of the Old Republic (non-canon) [Bonus Used]
I was playing a starfighter level in SWTOR and I was hit by inspiration so.

Omake: Forgotten Hero of the Old Republic.

She drifted In the darkness of Cimtar VI's rings. Her hallways quiet for over 3600 years, Forgotten by the Jedi who used to command her and her sisters in her heyday, Her red and white paintjob marred by millennia of asteroid strikes. The Defender-Class light Corvette Niarle's Grace drifted. her crew dead where they fell when the Sith weapon hit and claimed their lives.

She had been in the Gordian reach on assignment from the grand master of the order to investigate a sith reading in the Cimtar system. when she had been hit. her crew never knowing what happened. Now she drifted alone and undetected by passing ships due to the background radiation and signals from the planetary rings unique signatures.

The Niarle's Grace had had a rich history before she was lost. She had fought the Empire ever since she had helped the Jedi evacuate Coruscant in the aftermath of the temple's destruction, After that she had ferried teams of Jedi across the galaxy and fought in numerous engagements against the Empire. Lovingly cared for by her crew she was one of the most advanced Defender Class Starships of her time.

She had provided escort for the fleet during the battle of Corellia before returning to Tython in victory. After that she had been sent to the Gordian reach to assist the Jedi in that sector in investigating the rumored Sith presence. After sending a status report all contact was lost. subsequent searches never found her and so she drifted, Lost and alone. A silent tomb that watched as the millennia passed.

Until one day....

Authors Note: of all the ships in SWTOR. I have always loved the Defender Class so this is my tribute.

Combatives (canonicity TBD) [Bonus Used]
Cimtar Planetary Militia

Combatives

Combatives is the term for hand-to-hand combat training and techniques within the Cimtar Planetary Militia.

Lacking the budget to hire trainers to teach martial arts such as K'thri, Echani, Teräs Käsi & Matukai, the militia has adopted the popular combat sport of Shockboxing as it's main school of close quarter combat.

Clad in shockboxing armor & shockmitts, trainees are expected to meet the fitness standards in stamina, speed, agility and power of 6-round professional boxers of their respective weight class. Though given the popularity of the sport, about 25% of our militia members are Professional Shockboxers active on the Planetary Tournament circuit.

Since the withdrawal of Imperial authority from the planet, some innovative militia members have begun developing Sparring Droids of various weight classes but they have been encountering teething problems from how the droid's fighting set are pre-programed moves, which can be easily intercepted due to the fact that they can't change. Only time will tell if the project will bear fruit to make basic training more efficient.

Omake: Raider Hopes and Dreams (canonicity TBD)
Omake: Raider Hopes and Dreams

The Raider-Class bomber was a thought experiment by an AVROCSC design team. The design was developed after the Mark 1 Viper was finished and after the first draft of the Mark 2 was created. The team led by Dr. Emanuel Sinclair wanted to give Cimtar a decent assault starfighter for local and export markets in the Gordian Reach. Dr. Sinclair knew that it would only be possible to produce the design after the Mark 2 Viper was in production as that was the focus. He and his team were hopeful that the Raider would become as iconic as the Viper to the Cimtarians.

Dr. Sinclair poured his own funds and resources into AVROCSC to secure a minor stake in the company using his family fortune. A fortune rumored to have been acquired through connections with the Ha'la'tha syndicate. This stake allowed him and his team to begin work on the Raider design early. The hope was that having part of the initial work completed would allow for faster development of a prototype when the company finished the Mark 2 project.

Unfortunately for Dr.Sinclair, the Mark 2 project was never completed. The start of the Clone Wars and the battles that happened in the system would eventually lead to the destruction of the AVROCSC main facility and the orbital shipyard of Cimtar. The loss of so many assets and personnel made it impossible for new products to be developed. The bombardment also killed several members of the Raider project and the data center where the files and information for the Raider were stored.

Not everything was lost, though, as there were backup servers that AVROCSC operated outside their main compound for such a scenario as losing the data center. So not everything was saved, but enough was left to allow the design team to remake what they had lost over time. This, along with observation and information from the four year long war, allowed Dr. Sinclair and the handful of his remaining team to update the Raider specifications. This wasn't done in any hope that it would actually be built but more as a couping mechanism for the losses suffered by them and Cimtar. Eventually, Dr. Sinclair would pass away three years after the end of the Clone Wars, leaving the Raider to be forgotten for over two decades.

Forgotten, except by the design team, his grandson Victor. Victor maintained a copy of all the design work done before and during the Clone Wars on the Raider. He was also a member of the design team as one of their senior designers. While this might have seemed like nepotism, he was a brilliant man that earned his position. He inherited his grandfather's hope and ideal for the Raider. Still, He knew it was unlikely to be made without outside help. Victor also maintained his family contacts with Ha'la'tha, allowing him to funnel funds into AVROCSC. While nowhere near enough to restore the company, it was enough to help it keep going until the Cimtar government finally stepped in to rebuild and expand the company.

After the collapse of the Empire and the shuddering of the galaxy, AVROCSC would gain a new lease on life by being reorganized as Avro Cimtar. The government moving to rebuild the company gave Victor hope, and he contacted the government, offering his help and resources. As the company was reorganized, with the government of Cimtar owning most of it, the Sinclair family stake allowed Victor to become a board member. With this position, Victor decided to support any effort to expand Cimtar to expand fighter production. The result was the creation of both the Viper MK I bis and updated Viper MK II variants. While work continued on increasing the manufacturing output for the new Viper MK II and Gunboat design from the Cimtar Shipyards, Victor began digging up what was available on the Raider project.

With a new hope of seeing the Raider fly through the skies and stars of Cimtar and Gordian Reach in his lifetime, Victor started searching for new members for the design team. The first people contacted were the remaining original team members. These members had already given everything they had to the design. Still, they were willing to be advisors for the new team, and many of them had children or grandchildren that had followed in their footsteps as well. Victor also decided to add his own children to the team. His son, a structural engineer Bastion, and his daughter, a high energy physicist both top members in their fields. Born just before the start of the Clone Wars, they grew up in the shadows that war cast on Cimtar. Victor also looked at the top graduates and enrolled students of Cimtar's universities, looking to snatch them up before others got their hands on them.

However, this new team was not part of Avro Cimtar, as they had been hired directly by Victor using his own resources. Victor promised that if the team could update the Raider to modern standards, then he would be able to get them all positions inside the expanding aerospace company. The team was given all the old data still left, and the Clone Wars era notes were created. Along with the advice of the original team members, they were able to get the design into one piece.

The final version from the Clone Wars era was a solid build. The Raider is relatively large at 14 meters long and 20 meters wide. There were notes about utilizing a mechanism like what the V-19 Torrent fighter used to fold part of the wings up to save space while being carried. It was equipped with a pair of high thrust engines to give it a speed slightly faster than the even the stripped down Y-wings of the rebellion but not by much. It also was more maneuverable as a similar system used on the Viper was installed on the Raider. While not as agile as a dedicated fighter-interceptor, comparisons put it at about the same level as the rebel B-wing. However, it is simpler to fly without the rotating section.

The defenses were decent enough, with a shield on par with the Republic Y-Wing and an armored hull that could take at least one salvo of laser cannon fire before being compromised. In addition, the plans called for the installation of a hyperdrive of at least a class 2.0 with hopes that a faster drive would be possible in the future. Unfortunately, the planetary defense role the Raider was intended for meant that it only had a limited memory for hyperspace jumps as it didn't have plans for an astromech. However, it is hoped that it can be rectified in the modern version.

For weapons, the onboard ones were limited to a pair of laser cannons only with counter-measures for getting pursing fighters off the tail of the Raider. The real power of the Raider came in its internal magazine and wing hardpoints. Altogether, the Raider can rapidly unleash eighteen munitions on a single target or hit multiple targets. These eighteen munitions could be any kind of missile or bomb developed and in use. The munitions could be proton torpedoes, ion bombs/missiles, concussion missiles, or thermal detonators for ground side bombing runs.

The team began looking at what could be changed and what systems or parts needed to be updated to fit modern standards. Suppose the design can be updated in time. Then, the team could be added to the company, and the Raider project could be turned into an official product. There is hope that Arvo Cimtar will be able to work with the government science division to finalize the Raider and bring it to markets all over the Gordian Reach once the gunboat project is completed.

This is the Sinclair family's legacy four generations in the making. The Raider, if properly built, could become the iconic bomber craft of Cimtar and the Reach. It would also secure Arvo Cimtar's place as a top-tier starfighter manufacturer.

Omake: Cimtar days Gordian nights. Part one.

Rean Schwarzer the captain of the The X5 Light Stock Freighter Amalthea's peace walked through the halls of his ship, his two crewmates Boss Weaver a Duros and Filnyo a young Wookie female were hard at work doing Maintenance and inventory respectively. R2-C7 was in the cockpit keeping an eye on the helm.

Rean's current job was to bring a load of junk he had bought on Marrovia and sell it to the local government while picking up his next contract which was both taking a shipment of local Delicacies to Torque while also carrying a few passengers that had already contracted him earlier.

Rean preferred to keep his shipping business clean and for the most part he had succeeded. barring a run in with a Togruta Crimelord on Ord Mantell who had thought to pressure him into working for him. bad move and scratch one crimelord and his crew. Rean had then helped himself to the man's account and now he was several million credits richer, And it meant he could make some very big improvements on the Amalthea's Presence that he had been wanting to do for a while.

As for his crew. Finyo was a slave that he had rescued a few months back and had been trying to get her back to Kashyyk but due to the current situation in the galaxy that was all but impossible, so for now he had her basically doing chores around the ship while helping Weaver when he needed it. one that that had surprised Rean was that she was very good with the turrets. As for Weaver well his opinion was well known about the state of the ship.

With the way the Galaxy was, Rean was giving a lot of thought about finding a hole and just staying there until things calmed down. but problem was that there was little to no place that was truly safe anymore now the the Empire had disintegrated in the wake of the emperor's death. And there was no sign of it stopping anytime soon.

A beeping over the com caught his attention. "we're approaching Cimtar folks prepare for landing." he ordered as he turned and headed for the cockpit to start the drop from hyperspace and then landing on Cimtar. Flinyo and Weaver both acknowledged his order and started cleaning up before heading to the cockpit to take their designated seats.

Omake: history of the bird of prey program-falcon

Alright settle down class, today we will be talking about a topic most of you should be familiar with, cimtar and their now famous ships that while not as impressive as the star destroyers we are all familiar with. Are nothing to scoff at, and nothing represents this better then the bird of prey program started directly by the cimtar government to get something that could work well in their small navy, even the now iconic vipers raptors and raiders couldn't win fleet battles on their own.

Which is where the first true cimtar capital scale ship comes in, the falcon, more specifically, the falcon corvette.

Now the perceptive among you might see that the falcon looks like a child of the venerable cr-90 and the imperial raider corvette, if a bit on the chonkier side with wings slightly farther down the center. A standard falcon comes with one triple linked bas class light light torbolaser with two additional kel/mor single medium torbolasers, with a smattering of light laser cannons for those pesky flies that are starfighters.

For propulsion the falcon has two delsam ion defused engines as well as a single magtok fusion acceleration engine. Now compared to some ships in it's weight class that might seem like not all that much but the magtok in particular is a interesting piece of kit, this baby allows the falcon to reach acceleration speeds that let it catch up to slower starfighters although it can't catch up to the true speedsters of the Galaxy.

Now, this particular bit of info might suprise some of you, but the falcon or if you want it's full name, the falcon class modular corvette as it's name implies, it modular in nature, variants like the as or the bn switched some weaponry around to fit munitions launchers or basic holding bays for a few starfighters.

The cimtar navy wished for a modular and reliable ship that could replace the frankly, aging cr-90 and while we could talk about the abject failures that where the early production models, the falcon carries with it the hopes and dreams of the birds of prey program, and now in the reach, the falcon is a common sight in small patrol fleets and support operations.

Now in the next class the next topic I'll leave a mystery, but it's safe to say we will be talking about one of the more menacing toys in the cimtar arsenal, and I expect some of you to know what I'm talking about, yes we are talking about the one and only.

The NG-25 nightingale.

Invasive & Introduced Species

Subject Gizka:

Gizka are small reptiles that could be found all across the galaxy.

Whatever their native world, their extraordinary reproduction rate led to a fair amount of Gizka on many worlds finding their way from the nooks and crannies of starships. It has been alternatively postulated that they came from the mythical homeworld of the ancient Rakatan Infinite Empire and spread alongside their expansion.

Their exponential population growth led to them being considered pests on almost as many worlds as they inhabited, as they commonly ate electrical wiring.

On Cimtar, in an attempt to control their population, Gizka have become a source of staple food such as gizka steak. More cosmopolitan gourmands are of the opinion that gizka were one of those kinds of animals that "everything tastes like."

As population control attempts have failed to keep the pests in check, some IDIOT from the Environmental Bureau in the time of the Galactic Republic decided to introduce predators into the ecosystem in a bid to keep the Gizkas in check. K'lor'slugs.

Subject: K'lor'slugs

K'lor'slugs were large worm-like creatures that possessed a serpentine body propelled by many dangerously-edged legs. The mouth was a gaping circular maw filled with concentric rings of teeth.

K'lor'slugs are dangerous vermiforms native to the swamps of Noe'ha'on. Carnivorous hunters possessing keen olfactory and visual senses in addition to a deadly venom. For reproduction, the creatures could lay more than 300 eggs in a single birthing period. When hatched, the young k'lor'slug was immediately ravenous for food. In addition to their aggressiveness, these creatures were considered pests aboard starships. They were known to invade the darkest spots on unsanitary space vehicles and breed. (Probably where THAT IDIOT got the initial population, "This won't come out of my department budget!")

On Cimtar with plentiful gizka as prey, their population promptly got out of control to the point of endangering newborns in maternity wards. It was at great cost to the government in 3650 BBY when the k'lor'slug infestation was eradicated from sapient population centers (by hordes of slaves would-be Sith Acolytes) but countless more pests now infest the countryside destroying the native ecosystem.

Now desperate, that IDIOT from the Environmental Bureau decided to introduce another predator into the ecosystem in a bid to keep the K'lor'slugs in check. Shyracks.

Subject: Shyracks

Shyracks were large, bat-like avian creatures with razor like teeth native to the caves of Korriban. While ungainly and slow-moving with no eyes, shyracks were potentially dangerous, especially when they converged as a flock on an intruder with aggression as well as frenzy.

A breeding population of Shyracks were transported and released into several of Cimtar's depleted mines eagerly supported by the planets new Sith overlords post-annexation to the surprise of the citizens who never knew the Sith cared so much for the people.

Whilst typically cave bound, every sixty-six years, the shyracks of Cimtar spill from their cave habitants every day for the entire summer. These periods saw them fill the sky where they blotted out the sun and moons where they rained their bluish droppings onto everything below replenishing guano deposits on what are now known as the Purple Fields where local farmers have their droids mine for high quality fertilizer.

While moderately sucessful in depleting the k'lor'slug population, more needed to be done. Thus that IDIOT came up with yet another bright idea. Nadir Spiders.

Subject: Nadir Spider

Nadir Spiders are large, carnivourous arthropods native to the comets and asteroids of the Nuiri sector.

Being silicon-based lifeforms like mynocks or exogorths, Nadir spiders are capable of surviving in a vacuum; although they could survive in an atmosphere as well, surviving the heat of atmospheric entry when their asteroid habitats get caught in gravity wells.

The creature's body consisted of a large thorax covered in jagged plates, five spindly legs set at equidistant points, and a spiny head possessing five eyes and a single mouth with five beak-like mouths. The creatures were roughly the size of a human male, and clever enough to ambush prospective prey from behind. In addition, Nadir spiders were capable of spewing a jet of corrosive acid to a range of approximately 7.5 meters.

Blasters are useless and while ion weaponry do work, they'd fritz out our droids. They're the reason Czerka Arms slugthrowers are listed as Standard Safety Equipment and not weapons on Cimtar.

Forgotten relic of the Old Republic 2. [Bonus Used]
Forgotten relic of the Old Republic 2.

Rean Schwarzer flew en route to the spot that his computer had given him to investigate. During his approuch to Marrovia his aging computer which had records going back to the Republic Imperial war which he had had no idea about, had picked up a strange signal. something which had taken him by surprise since he had been to Marrovia multiple times over the years and it had never picked the signal up before.

It could only have been the recent heavy duty salvaging going on that had disturbed whatever it was that had activated. and from what the computer's fragmented records said. it was something big but not big enough to be picked up by the scanners of other salvagers over the milennia.

his team elsewhere in the ship getting things ready for the salvage mission, with luck they could load everything onto the ship before anyone else arrived and then they could sell it for some quick cash.

"We're coming up on the location guys, get ready" he shouted from the cockpit. his response was a bunch of faint acknowledgements. a few minutes later the computer informed him that they were above the location. after finding a place to land within 30 meters they set off.
R2-C7 stayed behind to keep an eye out for anyone wanting to know what they might have found.

even before he got close he could tell it was big which meant good things. and luckily it was small enough that he could load it onto the Amalthea's peace easily if he could get the anti grav unit working.

"all right lets get it loaded up and be gone before someone comes. Weaver see what you can do. Filnyo talk a look around but don't go far and keep in constant radio contact." he ordered.

"Yes captain" both responded and then got to work while he started looking around and keeping an overwatch position in case of trouble.

A few minutes later Weaver called out from where he was standing. "Rean we're in luck the Anti grav works. I'll have it up and loaded in 10 minutes." Rean grinned in response before remembering that weaver was too far away to see it. "good keep it up." he shouted in response.

after that it was only a matter of loading the container onto the ship before they started calming down. When Filnyo returned she was hopping around excitedly but reponded in the negative when asked if she had found anything. it was probably the ongoing salvaging op that was making her excited.

once she was back they hurried to take off and leave the planet before the local patrol arrived. once past them and into hyperspace en route to Pinoora for their next mission the group gathered in the hold to find out what they had found. "Right lets get her opened up and lets see what we found."

Once the doors were opened Boss walked in to the container and shone a light around. after a few minutes he called out in a shaky voice "Boss your going to want to see this!" blinking Rean walked in and looked at the now visable vehicle. "What is it" he asked curiously.
Weaver turned to him with a wide eyed awed look on his face. "Captain I.. sorry this is an original Desler Explorer." he said reverently

Rean quirked an eyebrow at him "I take it this is something big?" he asked. That got a response from Weaver "Big? Big I you. Sorry, Sir this is literally the find of a lifetime. there are only 200,000 known examples of this craft in the entire galaxy and they are worth millions." he explained excitedly.

after a moment Rean then nodded. "right confirm that its real and we will sell it when we get to Pinoora. once your done seal the container and lock it. than get to work on that manifold that I told you about earlier." he ordered. "Yes captain." Weaver ansered a little sadly but he did as he was ordered.
