Taylor decided to skip school for today. 'I still have to test my powers. Dad won't get back home until evening. I can do plenty of testing with my powers!' She decided as she quickly walks out of the school. She didn't know where to go next. She could have gone home but she felt it would be too counterproductive when she is already outside. 'But I don't really know where to go...' With a thought like that, she is walking on the streets instead of commuting.
She wanted to be left on her own thoughts. Her mind is still thinking about the applications of her powers, and how she can use it effectively.
'The ability to turn into a shadow.... I honestly can't help but feel like it is familiar...' Her thought wanders to the local Capes. 'If we're talking about a Cape who can do that, then...'
So absorbed in her thoughts, she didn't notice the buff girl taking a turn as took the corner, and they bump into each other.
"Hey! Watch it!" The buff girl growled angrily, a glare directed in her way.
Along with her yell are the growls of her dogs, which seems to be with her.
'Ah?' But Taylor's mind is not pointed at the accidental bumping, or even the angry girl. Her mind is currently within her. 'A new power!?'
Seeing her unresponsive, the girl's glare intensifies before she turned her head with a snort. "Let's go." She growled out, and passes through her with heavy steps. The dogs following behind her.
Her mind is still occupied at the new feeling within her. She felt a new power within her. It is...
[]Nature's Language : The ability to understand animals.
[]Pack Mutation : The power to mutate animals in your vicinity.
[X]Nature's Language : The ability to understand animals.
Yeah, we do not have the power to control the animals but could pick it up later. Even otherwise, the ability to talk to animals means we can Doolittle some secrets and have pigeons spy for us. Provided we can convince them OFC.
Being able to talk to animals is so versitile and subtle, I like it.
Naturally more complex and/or intelligent creatures will have more to say than simpler and/or less intelligent creatures.

You know the power doesn't say the can speak to animals just understand them ... which you know can have it's own uses but doesn't necessarily mean she can speak to them
[X]Pack Mutation : The power to mutate animals in your vicinity.
Tsk tsk, you guys are severely underestimating the power of animals, and the ability to manipulate them. Allow me to give an exmaple...
Take a moment to think about the sheer possibilities it opens. Even a simple mutation, such as..giving a bear the virility of a rabbit, imagine what that'd be like? In a single litter, an average of five bears would be bron, and in a year there's an avergae of three to four liters. By the simple virtue of that (and coupled with some animal that has a fast maturity rate) you could have a group of servant bears of 15-20 bears in a year. And that's counting one breeding pair.
On the other side, we could possibly even create the creatures of myth! What is a dragon, but a lizard with wings, breathing fire? Mutate an iguana of sorts to have gigantism, figure out some flight system with bat/avain wings, and we could maaaybe skip out on the fire breath, though if necessary, we could take the ability of the Archerfish to spit out liquids, get the DNA of some snakes or other poisonus animals, and bam, you've got venom breath! And if we're allowed to use insects (we probably can't) the Bombadier beetle can literally makes explosions through the ue of chemicals in its body.
She felt it. A new power within her. She didn't know what this power can do. She only have a vague idea how it works.
She turn to the receding back of the one she bumped. She stares at her for a bit, and glances at the dogs. Then she felt something. Like she somewhat understand the dogs.
It's not really something where she can hear what they are talking about or what they're thinking. She only felt that she somehow understood what they are feeling.
'Happy. Curious. Attentive.' Those are her vague interpretations.
She stared at them until their figures are gone before she continues onto her house. Evening has come and Taylor is just wrapping her test for her shadow shifting powers when she heard the sound of a truck parking on their house.
She took a seat on the couch before she heard the sound of the door being open. She turns her head and see her Dad arriving on the living room. Her Dad seems to be looking at someone, and when his gaze pointed at her, he stared with his lips thinning.
"Taylor. I heard you left school without saying anything."
She already prepared for that. "I suddenly got dizzy so I decided to leave."
"But the principal didn't say anything about that!"
"Right. I forgot to tell her."
He stared at her in scrutiny before he sighs. "Okay, I'll tell her." He walks to their landline.
Taylor pursed her lips. 'Right... he easily believed it...' Her eyebrows scrunched with an unpleasant feeling.
Her Dad has been like that, easily believing his daughter without looking into it that much. It is convenient for her, but she also felt a bit offended seeing her Dad not really caring as much.
She knows he cares, but he is not doing it enough.
She is snapped out of her thoughts when her Dad's footsteps gets closed. "Do you want something to eat?" He inquired with a tone that seems tired.
"Ah. Don't worry. I already made something."
Her Dad stared at her for awhile before he slowly nodded.
They got to the table to eat the simple meal that she prepared. They are mostly silent while they are eating.
Feeling a bit overwhelmed by the silence, Taylor hurried on her food before she stood up and put her dishes to the sink. She cleans it up before going upstairs.
All without the two of them conversing. The night already covers the street. The only light within her room being the moonlight. She stares at the ceiling while deep in her thoughts.
'School. I have to go there again.' She can't help but feel dissatisfied with that. 'Do I even have to keep doing this? I have powers now! I think I should be doing something else!'
Her eyes turned to her side, thinking it more carefully.
She didn't have any costume, and she didn't even feel any confidence with her powers. But going to school felt like a waste of her time. She is not even learning everything there.
'Those bitches....!' She gritted her teeth. Recalling those three makes her more reluctant to go to school.
She slept while being absorbed on her thoughts.

[X] A Hero is someone who helps people right? See if you can contact Glory Girl. Tell her everything, even your powers and ask her for help. If she can't help you then no one can.
Her father already learned of it when she left school without saying anything and actually cared enough to ask so clearly not going to school at all is going to raise some tough questions and the same excuse as last time is not very likely to hold up.
As for the costume: She should try seeing if she can create alloys, welds, and interwoven fabrics by phasing materials through each-other.

Well, stopping school seems like a pretty easy way to get in to touble, so that's off the table. I'm thinking a kind of character where you balance school life and superhero life, sorta like Peter Parker. Though he does have a pretty bad life at times, so maybe he's not the best example.

Listen, this is just to make Danny get of Taylor's back. Let us just deal with whatever the Trio of B!tches has for us and call it a week. A Week of Hell.
