Slivers Adrift in Infinity [MTG/RWBY]

[X] Plan Consolidate And Defend with more Slivers
Also, @fictionfan , I think your plan has too many actions. It has 7 actions being done without specifying that our slivers will do something without us.

Horned sliver and friends and build the base defenses without mom's help if needed. I included the lobby in building the defenses.

Pretty sure I can call this in favor of plan consolidate and defend with more slivers. Writing update now...

Why would we need to when we are a diplomatic sliver? We basically have "Sliver creatures you control have Speechcraft" from sharing language and politeness, even if our slivers don't yet have much to say.

(Bonus mechanics question; I may have missed it, but what does Haste do for us? In the game it only effects how soon a creature can work after being summoned, but the fluff implies it to be more tactically useful speed. To put it another way, do we use it to increase the growth rate of our immature slivers or is it purely about changing DCs for certain actions and tactics?)

@Angle You did read my addition of having our mature Slivers help with improving our hive and making defenses right? Just want to make sure.

+1 Stewardship for living alone

You start the month with another spawn - 10 healthy happy thrums, curling contentedly in their eggs.

Anticipating the significant increase to your food requirements when Might grows up, you set out with galerider and a few hunters to plot the local area. The hunters mostly just enjoy riding on your back as you fly about, but they do snipe any grimm that get too close, and occasionally point out something useful here or there.

Next up, you spend some time expanding the hive. With all your babies and horned helping it goes quite well, even despite a few organizational errors. You dig out a series of simple defenses and significantly expand your living space, adding room for another 43 slivers.

You continue to make an effort to feed yourself and your children, bringing in enough food to keep your hive fed, though it is actually somewhat difficult - you need to reassign some of the slivers from digging to manage it. Still, you pull it off. None of the hunters are particularly interested this month, it seems - perhaps the allure of hunting wild animals in the forest has begun to wear off?

Your classes go pretty well - you continue to glean all sorts of insights about aura and how to train in it's use. In particular, you gain some new insights into discovering and training semblances. It won't be easy, but it should be possible for you to teach other slivers to discover their own semblances. You also make some stride in your own practice of Aura, increasing your reserves. This mens it will be easier to awaken the aura of your slivers, as the effort will not tire you out quite as much as it did before.

Finally, two additional things begin to happen this month - the leaves begin to turn strange colors and fall from the trees, and a fleet of strange airships arrive, taking up positions around the city. Several of them hover alarmingly above your forest and the school...

Gains: (Stat gains above 25 for CK2 stats are halved, and above 35 are quartered)

Stewardship: +2, +1, +1, +1, +1

Martial: +1, +1

Learning: +1, +1, +1

Aura: +1

Knowledge (Aura) 1 level

Potential Training unlocked: Semblance Discovery, Semblance Training, Aura Slam

8 thrums reach maturity, might grows to be 1/1.

10 thrums born.

What do you do next month?

@Angle Should we be worried that Might has 1/1 instead of 2/2 like the card? Also we didn't roll any special Slivers?

Since we now have a lot of space I don't think we need anyomore for a while. That said we could always use more defenses. Getting more food is going to be a problem with Winter coming up so we might want to make storage to gather more food. Now that we have a lot of Slivers it seems like it's time we actually give them hunter training and awaken the aura of the rest or at least 9 since it means our Sliver would be more able to protect themselves in case something happens. Now would be a good time to bond to more mana wells since we are going to need it to spawn more Slivers.

@Angle Would it be possible to store food away for later? Is there anything we can do to make money? Just to be sure we didn't roll any special Slivers? Because it seems unlikely that we didn't get any if we get 15% and we had ten Slivers.

Storing food is possible, but not without some method of preserving it. Making money would also be possible...

Yup, 10 slivers and no specials. It's not that surprising, you have to get unlucky sooner or later, after all. And you did get Might and Galerider, after all, so it's about time you got a low roll. :p

How hard would it be find a way to preserve food?

Was aking about making money since it may help with our food issues if we can buy some though I am not sure what Slivers have to offer.

Both should be pretty easy, ask Ruby, and the teachers, worst come to worst, I can see Ruby lending us some money, but food preservation shouldn't be too hard, what with Professor Peach and all.

Once might sliver matures we are going to an effective army. Now we just have to find a way to get paid to fight. Unfortunately we cannot eat Grimm.

Think we would run into the problem of moving an entire Sliver army around and even a Sliver army is as only as good as a trained hunter and would most likely be cheaper to higher. We also need to at least train our Slivers to fight and awaken the rest and maybe give semblances to some of them.

Not really, hunters have to be paid for danger and it takes years to train up a Hunter well as we can make a new batch of slivers every month. Also hunters have to pay for houseing, clothes and other things we don't need or provide for ourself.

You have 6 actions personally, and each of your kids gets 6 actions as well. You can have them work with you, or work on their own. If they work on their own, they get only half the benefit of your CK2 stats.

Additionally, you have no actions providing food in that plan.

Wasn't it mentioned that mana would be hard to learn and that Slivers weren't that good at it?

Doesn't really solve the whole transporting an enitre army of Slivers being costly and slow. Might be better to just work out deals with villages to have a hive protect them. Once we have enough of a force to transfer that we don't have to worry about something happening of course.

Then we get paid to be a combination army.

We can run down bandits and help hold ground as well ands do labor for villages. when we crack magic or special slivers with abilities that can target non sliver well be super

so can they reasonable make the amount of food needed on their own if we set them mostly on food?
