[X] Maintaining cohesion among the Ruthenians.

Circumstances have made this the ideal job for us. Best to make the most of it since it's not like we can give Ukraine our OTHER leg in the future.

I think our best area of focus is one that only we can cover. Any one of our brothers can hand out bribes and promises, and any one of our brothers can call in debts with the Ruthenians. But we have unique assets when talking to the clergy and magnates: our indisputable piety, our lineage and our proven valor. I think we should focus our attention on the latter.

We definitely made the right choice with Mariana, that woman is a saint.
I want to see her do politics before I agree to titling her a Saint. I have a distinct feeling that she, like Stanislaw, is vicious towards her foes and is kind only to her family.
and, as the physician tasted, an improvement to the quality of your urine
Even though I know this is a fact, it still bothers me that this was a real thing in this time period. Professional urine tester, ugh.

Of our family, we're the best suited for dealing with the Ruthenians in light of our recent victories and sacrifices on the field to defend their lands and people against the Tatars. This will give our words more weight and influence. If there was any Radziwill meant for this job, it's us.

Our brothers and father are here, they can take up the heavy lifting now that we've given so much and paid so dearly for this cause. All we gotta do is lock in the potential supporters we've got from the Ruthenians.

Edit: I hope our brothers and father makes good use of the loot we donated to the family coffers, and gets the ball rolling on the payments promised by Maciej to counter those made by Bathory.

[X] Coordinating with the Austrian delegation regarding bribes and campaign promises.

We need to know exactly what the Austrians plan, they could very easily scare the crap out of locals depending on how hard they lean into their Catholicism, what they plan regarding land reforms and their foreign policies.

They have a young, charismatic candidate, and the Pro-Austrian Radzwilli have Lithuania and have proven they can fight off an opponent like the Tartars (though Russia is soon to invade) relatively easily, but there's plenty of ways the Austrians can trip up, and you can bet our enemies would love to exploit that

Because there's only so many Ruthenians that will bother to come and vote in the elections. Hitting the core electorate is important.

The petty and poor nobles are the bread and butter of any election (since they can vote and are far more numerous than any magnate family). About time we start to think about what we can offer them. The same goes for the richer nobility as well, in exchange for their support and getting their men to join our campaign of bribes and promises.

Given the close margin and the fact I have spotty internet access right now, voting shall remain open until some point tomorrow!

Apart from probably being best for Stanislaw's constitution, I like the idea of emphasizing peace with the Ottomans. Habsburg or no Habsburg, that's not a fight we want to pick.

Politics aside, though…I've been telling myself for months that I should find the time to read this quest, and now that I've actually done it I'm kicking myself for not having started sooner. This is powerful work, @Rolman, and you should be proud.

If Ruthenians were the electorate sway in the Commonwealth, they would have gotten better terms than those that eventually led to wars and rebellions. As much as Mathias is ready to bend to get the throne, we've never really got to schooling him on proper stuff to say, or have we?

"Stand proud, you are strong good at quest writing"
Thank you friends! I really do try. I was recently complimented on a discord about how the quest feels very immersive and, to use my own words now, kind of empathetic to the people of the past. The fact that people really feel like they're inhabiting the head of someone born in 1551 as they read makes my heart sing; I can hardly believe I can pull that off! But — yay :::::))))

*dries eyes* also consider this a last call for voting. we're at a very tight 10-9 between the top two choices, I shall give it SIX more hours!
