SheepGirl Quest
You step out the door and onto the sidewalk, the pavement under your shoes. It's about 10 AM, which means that you've got to get to your job soon.
You begin to skip down the street, humming sing-songs all the way.
While you make your way down to the subway, you think about the latest episode of Pure Heart Magical Ranger Zara and how cool it was to watch the Lazer Heart Buster scene. You just loved it! The framing of the shots downward on Zara just filled the scene with just how small she looked against Zarrach-eclipthon, how powerless she seemed! And then the camera begins to swing, and when she pulls out the Heart Buster she looks so big! And the music! The music was just divine!
You get pulled out of your magic filled reverie by the announcement of Hardheigh lane, at which point you make your way out of the train, and back onto the sidewalk.
A little further, and you're finally there. The place that you've dedicated weeks and months of work to. Monstrous Maid Cafe. It's a bit of a modest place, neatly wedged between two other stores, a big glass window up front, and pastel pink on the top!
You put on a smile and walk insi-right. It's before opening hours, you've gotta go through the back.
Walking around to the back this time, you open the door and are greeted by a red haired girl in a maid outfit. Her body is quite slim, with the curtain of hair going all the way down to her torso, tail parting it like the red sea. Her skin is fair and she seems a little frail, yet her arms and legs are quite subtly toned, perfect for gymnastics. Of course, you can't forget your favorite part of her, on the top of her head rests two fluffy, perky lil' cat ears!
You put on the biggest smile for your beloved co-worker. "Heeeeey Mima!"
"Oh! Lyra! Wasn't expecting you this early. Come in! If you don't mind, could you help carry those boxes over there?"
You step in and pick up the boxes before turning to your senpai. "So, how's your day?"
"It's been alright I guess. Nothing really happened, just me and these boxes." She raises a box for emphasis. "What about you?"
You place a finger on your chin in thought, being careful not to drop the box. "Hmm, well, I got up this morning, washed my face, and had an epiphany. So pretty good I'd say!"
Mima turns to you in surprise. "An epiphany? What about?"
"Oh, nothing much really, just thought about myself and what I can do." You answer without even giving a glance.
She tilts her head in confusion. "Are you sure? I mean, an epiphany's not exactly something you just talk about."
You turn to explai-
"Oi, would you two chats come over here? I'm trying to change this lightbulb but the damned things too high for me to grab!"
Suddenly interrupted by the demands of the petit figure standing on a stool, you put down the box, and walk over to where they stand.
The figure stands on a stool, their arms crossed in frustration. They're absurdly small for a bull hybrid, being only about two stools tall, and their tanned skin seems to frame the scowl gracing their face quite exquisitely. Two big horns jutt out of the sides of their head, curved and smooth.
You look at her and then the ceiling.
Well of course they couldn't reach the lightbulb, even you couldn't get that, and you're the tallest one here!
"Well? Can'tcha get it?" They irritatedly ask.
"Sorry Taursha, it's just too tall. I'll need a ladder." You say, stepping down from the stool.
"Well what're ya waitin' for then? It's about an hour from openin' time, we gotta change this before someone notices!"
"Don't worry! I've got it!" A voice excitedly calls from outside your vision.
Rushing in with a ladder firmly clutched under her arm, a dog hybrid runs in.
You frown, before moving a little to the left and holding out your arms.
You peer down at your chest to see two big blue round eyes staring back at you, framed by the mane of brown hair -bob cut- and two floppy ears.
You push her away, making sure to keep her within your grip, check over her for any scuffs, torso more skinny than you'd prefer but unharmed, hands quite calloused but not quite scratched, maid outfit unstained, skin sunkissed but not burnt, legs well toned but not aching, okay good, and-what were you doing again? Ah yes! And lecture her.
"Dylecha! What did we say about running inside, especially while carrying heavy things?" You ask in disapproval.
"Heh, sorry ma, guess I got a little excited there." She says, voice muffled by your bosom.
"Well you better remember next time! And you know I'm not your mother right?" You reply with motherly love.
"Well I'm sorry Lyra, but I can't help it! You're just so good that I forget!" She waves her arms in emphasis, grin threatening to split her face.
"Look I know this is heartwarmin' n all, but we still gotta change that lightbulb." Taursha interrupts.
"Right! Sorry!" Dylecha brings the ladder she was hauling over, opens it, and climbs up.
As your colleagues get to work, you hum in thought.
Where's Iyel'rrie? You haven't seen her yet. She usually gets here the latest out of all of you, but it's about an hour from opening time and she still hasn't shown up.
You resolve to go and look for her.
Going first to the kitchen, where she normally would be, you call out to her.
"Iyel'rrie? Iyel'rrie! It's an hour from opening time, where are you?"
The door to the outside squeals in exertion, followed by hurried footsteps.
""Ah, L-lyra, sorry I'm late!"
The girl that rushes in can be called quite cute, in the contemporary sense. Her big white rabbit ears flop all over the place, and the waterfall of hair gushes and swings side to side. The limbs that she ran on look ready to break from all that exertion. Her eyes look tired, and maybe a little afraid.
You begin in the best calming voice you can make. "Come on Iyel'rrie, breathe in, breathe out. Breathe in, breathe out. All good?"
She nods.
"Alright, good. Now, follow me, you still haven't changed into your uniform yet." You remind her.
"Sorry mam." She mumbles.
You turn to her, giving the nicest smile you could put on. "Now, none of that, you have nothing to apologise for. And I've told you this quite a bit, but I'll say it again, my name is Lyra, we're co-workers, there isn't a hierarchy here."
"Yes ma-er, Lyra." She replies.
Her response still isn't exactly to your liking, but you'll have to deal with that later.
"Alright, we're at the changing room, your uniform is to the right." You say, ushering he-wait. You look down at yourself. You haven't even gotten dressed yet!
"Alright then Iyel'rrie, looks like we're going in together."
"I-T-together? B-but-" She stammers out.
"There are two booths, we don't have much time now!" You say, dragging her in with you.
Slamming the door shut, you look over the outfit that your boss has mandated all employees to wear.
It's a fine dress, and the material is quite like cloth. The sleeves go down to about your forearm, ending in frills. The torso is buttoned up, middle covered in white. The skirt goes down to about your knees, covers enough to make you comfy, and enough that you can run easily. The apron is the centerpiece of the outfit, stark white being quite a contrast against the dark black. The frills also help. All in all, you'd say you quite like this thing.
Ah, come on Lyra! This is not the time to be staring at your clothes like it's a review product! Quick! Change! Change!
Slipping on the previously unmentioned gloves, you open the booth to see that Iyel'rrie's already done and is waiting for you.
"Ah, thanks for waiting for me Iyel'rrie, shall we go?" You gesture.
"I-uhm, yeah." She replies.
"Alright then!" You smile, before grabbing her hand.
In a moment you stand in the front of the shop, ready to welcome customers.
You see two people try to come in. They walked in at about the same time, but one offered to let the other come in first. The other one seemed to decline, and now the first one comes in.
"Welcome young masters! How may we serve you?" You and your colleagues chirrup in chorus.
You go to serve-
[X] The first one that came in. You think you've seen him walking by once or twice, glancing at the cafe every now and then. He seems kinda tired, and has this look in his eye. He might need a hug.
[ ] The second one that came in. You haven't seen him before, but he has an odd appearance, with that unshaven chin and ponytail. He seems to be looking around, and also seems to be quite amused.

Alright! That's two posts now! Nothing much to say here, but it's a little longer than last time.
