All choices beside gender have direct mechanical pros and cons. Shamelessly borrowed from Boney's Divided Loyalties is a currency of Shinies - fortunate occurences and advantages that you will carry for the rest of your hopefully long life. By default, you start with 1 Shiny, and can pick options that will give you more. Unspent Shinies will result in streaks of good fortune in your first years, while overspending will probably land you into hot water. Choose wisely!

I like the basics of the Lizardmen idea, but we're a Bureaucrat and a Spymaster. It's not for us to be going FUS-RO-DAH all over the place.

I just really, really, really don't want to be a Lizardman. But we should also pick gods that match being a spymaster, so I went with Vivec and Mephala (since Mephala is the anticipation of Vivic in TES canon, under the Tribunal rules. Presumably is here too), and an Eidetic Memory and Friends in Places would have been exactly what we'd have likely done as a Bureaucrat turned spy anyway. Picking that one twice since we also have Mephala, and we had the 1 free Shiny, so that should net us 0.

I assume we'll pick which organizations next vote? Because we should definitely want the Thieves Guild in there, if possible

Hope this is formatted properly. The Lilmothiit I always found interesting, and with how Vulpines are typically associated with slyness and trickery, I felt it's a good fit for a Spymaster Quest.

From what I know of the Lilmothiit, they're pretty intuned with nature, so venerating Kynareth and Hircin alike seems incharacter for one of their race. Hermaeus Mora and Hoarder of Knowledge to go with their affinity with the Lore of Beasts.

Also picked Vivec as a prejudiced God. Was thinking to do one or more of the Chaos Gods instead but wasn't sure if they were 'official
' deities. If my lore on the Elder Scrolls is correct, the Dunmer themselves are known to enslave the denezins of the Black Marsh, so I thought it would make sense for this character to despise those who venerate the chief deity of their own people's enslavers.

The MC is a bureaucrat in service to a Nord King so I made this plan with that in mind. The concept of this character is that they want to learn, and that includes anything from knowledge of the past, to current events, to magic everything the character loves to learn. This comes from a natural inclination to do so from both the MC's above average intellect, having a perfect memory, a knack for languages and the gift of magic. But as a commoner there are few opportunities to learn, the system as a whole made it damn near impossible for a normal person to become extremely educated. So the MC decided to join the bureaucracy to get the skills and resources to feed his hunger for knowledge. Over time this resulted in him learning enough to use the Winds of Shadow and Death, both extremely potent skills for learning and intrigue. All in all the MC's talents both mystical and mundane were so great the Jorunn the Skald-King made us his Spymaster.
