As spymaster to the forces of good and justice, fight evil on your own terms in this crossover of fantasy universes!
Character Creation I
Vast is the Known World, and plentiful are its people. A land of many a sovereign nation, it has produced countless heroes that stood up to evil - from Westeros to Tamriel to the distant East, they have taken up the cause of Light and vanquished the monsters that would destroy the world entire.

You serve one of these heroes. And you have a job to do.

Through the benevolence of your patron, you have received a position of spymaster in the midst of the Light's seat of power. And through backstabbing, intrigue and dutiful service to forces of Light, you will come to bring glory to your patron - and to fulfill your destiny. Whatever it may be.

You will serve as a spymaster to one of the Realm's lords, balancing between the needs of your liege and your own personal agenda. Choose the former, now:

The Forces of Light

[ ] The Alliance of Seven Kingdoms

A bastion of mankind, the Alliance of Seven Kingdoms is a feudal monarchy ruled by King Robert Baratheon, first of his name. The previous Hand of the King, an aide most closest to royal power and extension of its will, has dropped dead, and now his replacement has arrived from the North to investigate. You have ingratiated yourself into the entourage of Lord Eddard Stark, and will aid him however you can into investigating a plot that will upend the world entire.

[ ] The Sigmarreich of Tamriel

A rapidly industrializing realm of diverse people, ruled by the Emperor and the Elector Counts. Already divided into four separate empires, following the First Vampire War and the death of Emperor Karl Septim in his own palace, it lies devastated and leaderless on the verge of civil war - but in this ruin, lies an opportunity to unite the Empire back together and forge a realm capable of fighting the forces of Evil. You will help unite it back, under the service of one of the Elector Counts, or die trying.

[ ] The Eastern Vast

Home to the mighty Horde and the famed Free Cities of the East, the precarious balance that had kept Distant Realms together has been thoroughly upended by the Doom of Valyria and the subsequent Dragonflight Wars - in its aftermath, all sorts of opportunists have risen to the occasion, and now the entirety of Essos is but a spark away from a war even more devastating than that brought forth by Valyrians. You will be one of the precious few holding the line - by any means necessary.

================
Hello, Sufficient Velocity, and welcome to my second ever quest! Have you ever wished that fantasy main characters weren't so naive and trusting? Have you ever wanted your heroes to be the ones outplaying and outwitting their opponents? Well, want no more, for I shall provide.

In this grand crossover of five four three of my favourite franchises, inspired by Boney's Divided Loyalties and mcclay's Snuff Out The Light, this story will have you become a spymaster for the hero of Light - they who bring the people together and vanquish the forces of evil - as you navigate the intrigue, darkness and moral ambiguity they would be ill-equipped to handle but foolish to ignore.

The crossover is not just for show - entire swaths of the setting's history are fundamentally different from what you would expect, and though many things will be familiar, the context will be entirely new and sure to catch you by surprise. My goal here was to take everything fun and hype about these franchises and blend it together, in a mix that would be both fresh and nostalgic.

Have fun!

Character Creation II
The Sigmarreich was a great empire, once. United by the warrior-king known as Sigmar to Imperials of heartlands, Talos to the Nords of Skyrim, and Wulfharth to Dunmer of Morrowind, it had stood tall for a thousand years, bringing the varied nations of Tamriel together with a singular purpose - to stand against Ruin, and to bring prosperity to all who would choose to stand under Imperial banners.

That time is long gone. Piece by piece, the Sigmarreich was shattered - a twofold catastrophe brought equally by the unrelenting forces of evil and by decadence and corruption of Sigmar's heirs. Now known as the Seat of Sundered Kings, the throne of Cyrodiil now stands vacant and empty, its worth barely even symbolic anymore. The Vampire War, a monstrous campaign meant to blot out the sun itself, had only made clear what everyone already knew - the once glorious empire of Sigmar was no more.

But all is not lost. In the midst of the Vampire War, for the first time in centuries forces of Light in Tamriel had stood together, eschewing old grudges and ambitions of power to stand shoulder to shoulder against blood-sucking menace. And even though the peace that reigns is fragile, it holds still the promise of a great future - of an empire reforged, and of good triumphing.

You serve one of the rulers of a nascent Third Age of Tamriel. You are a spymaster, delving in intrigue and deceit, walking in the shadow between good and evil so that Light could triumph. But how did you come to hold the post you now do?

Origin will dictate your base stats. By default, they will be the total of 3d6. You will reroll the lowest for a particular stat for each + you have in it, and reroll the highest for each -. Traits picked in the next step of char creation will increase or lower these scores by a set amount. Your background will also heavily effect the options available to you.

[ ] Assassin
Whether for coin, for a cause or for religious convictions, you took other people's lives - until a chance contract led to you meeting they who would become your liege. Impressed by their majesty, you have renounced your bloody past and pledged yourself into their service.
+Intrigue, ++Martial, -Diplomacy

[ ] Turncoat
You were raised to serve a cause. Since your very young days, you had been prepared to further the agenda of your masters... But your liege had opened your eyes, and made you understand that the cause you served before was in the wrong. Now you stand on the right side of history - and this time, nothing will convince you otherwise.
++Intrigue, ++Diplomacy, -Opinion of your fellows (you used to be an enemy)

[ ] Preacher
You spread the good word of your religion by any means necessary - outsmarting your opponents in debates, beating them in community outreach and, occasionally, getting beaten on street corners. Meeting your liege was the divine call to arms you have been waiting your entire life, and you have not been found wanting.
+Intrigue, +Faith, + Diplomacy, -Martial

[ ] Guard Officer
You have spent years fighting crime, solving cases and holding the line against discord and ruin behind the frontlines. Your liege had recognized your talents - and, in turn, gave you a chance to make the difference you've always wanted to on a global scale.
+Intrigue, +Stewardship, +Martial, -Diplomacy

[ ] Thief
You were a hustler, a pickpocket and a con artist, relieving the rich and comfortable off their mostly ill-gotten gains. But when you met your liege, you could not help but open your heart to them - and with their blessing, you have turned your talents towards a cause of Light.
+Intrigue, +Diplomacy, +Stewardship, -Martial

[ ] Knight Templar
As a warrior of faith, you had grown to accept the dark forces will never fight you on your terms. You had taken the fight to their turf, outwitting them in the shadows of light, and your liege had recognized your ability to walk the thin line between complacency and heresy.
+Intrigue, ++Faith, +Martial, --Diplomacy, -Stewardship

[ ] Bureaucrat
You were a functionary in your liege's court, invisible and irrelevant - and utterly essential to everything running smoothly. Navigating the intrigues of ballrooms and offices had turned you into a finely-tuned weapon (with the side effect of turning you into a misanthrope), and your liege recognized your talent to be too good for you to be sitting behind a desk.
+Intrigue, ++Stewardship, -Martial, -Faith

Your liege had changed the course of your life forever. With a debt of gratitude and a sincere belief their cause is just, you have pledged yourself to stand beside them and do whatever need be done. But who are they?

[ ] Phoenix Queen Ayrenn

The youngest monarch to grace the throne of Ulthuan, Ayrenn of Caledor had accomplished in a decade what her predecessors would not in a century - with wise words and gracious might, she had overcome the thousand-year blood feud between monarchs of the Blessed Isle and once-exiles of Valenwood, and convinced the mighty Mane of Elsweyr to join her forces as an equal.

Having forged those three forces into a Dominion, Ayrenn plans to unite Tamriel in much the same way - with promises of prosperity and of an empire that shall bring forth a golden age of wealth and culture. But her rule back home is yet unstable, for the nobles of Ulthuan are ill-accostumed to having peers, and the resentment from both the Bosmer and Khajiit still lingers after centuries of simmering conflict.

[ ] King Darien of Bretonnia

The Grail Knight of Wayrest, the Crown Prince of Sentinel, and the leader of Daggerfall Covenant, Darien the First took the throne in the wake of his father's death, when noble lords were tearing each other apart and vampiric legions marched at his homeland's doorstep. Uniting the Bretons of High Rock, the Redguards of Hammerfell and even Orcish tribes of the west, Darien had ridden to face Vampire Lord Harkon in battle - and in a battle that saw him victorious, had united the three nations into a Covenant that would build a better tomorrow.

Now, as the Daggerfall Covenant stands tall, Darien prepares a crusade that will fight evil all over the world - an Errantry War to end all wars, to finally vanquish servants of ruin and all things vile. But not all members of Covenant support this righteous cause, and politics of the West bind his hands with obstacles and arguments - some of them hiding sinister agendas of their own.

[ ] Jorunn the Skald-King

The High King of Skyrim, and the leader of a most unlikely coalition in the history of Tamriel, Jorunn the Skald was crowned in the middle of a battle to retake Windhelm from vampiric invaders. After a military campaign that saw him join forces with the forces of Dunmer led by Tribunal of Living Gods, and the legions of Lizardmen from Black Marsh, Jorunn had brokered peace between three long-time enemies and formed an alliance called the Ebonheart Pact.

A free spirit at heart, Jorunn wants the Ebonheart Pact to be a guarantee of freedom from persecution and oppression for the people of Tamriel, supporting those who cannot support themselves and preventing the strong from mistreating the weak. But the Pact stands upon centuries of conflict and hate, and true freedom requires sacrifices some are not willing to make.
