    An: damnit I really should try to focus on one thing at a time but this seemed to interesting of an idea to resist (and easier to write)

    When you woke up screaming and crying,memories of your ex-best friend shoving you in a locker filled with waste and bugs while everyone watches. What did you do to deserve this you just want...

    [ ] your mother back (heart seal)
    [ ] your father to be happy (homunculus ritual)
    [ ] for the school to do their job and stop the bullying (rage seal)

    Soon after you had calmed down a nurse had told you that your father was here to come pick you up.

    *time skip*
    After an awkward and silent ride with your dad you decided to.

    6 hours
    [ ] make a bunch of doodles (1 hour)
    [ ] go to a protectorate autograph signing (3 hours)
    [ ] try drawing a painting (4 hours)
    [ ] go to the Lord street market (3 hours)
    [ ] browse PHO at the library (2 hours)

    Weakening seal: hinders the target and can weaken powers with enough they can completely prohibit movement

    • Taylor can create seals that then cause an effect

    You have very little to no control over the seals unless you are touching them

    Effects the power of the seals and how hard they are to remove these are determined by effort put into the seal and how much time was spent

    Interact with a parahuman or something derived from their power to gain a new ability based on it

    Basic: bread and butter easy to do seals can be made in bulk

    Advanced: requires a lot more effort and an entire day to make usually a lot stronger

    Crown seal: would grant Taylor control over a creature ranging from a suggestion to her canon control depending on factors like seal quality and your target

    Heart seal: the seal would attract creatures to it that then would form a humanoid figure that (barely in the right light) resembles Annette. The Annettes would gain powers based on the animals inside of it.

    Homunculus seal: would generate "homunculus" based on nearby biological matter. Generates more quickly with smaller creatures

    Rage seal: it would collect nearby negative emotions and could direct them at a target causing others to feel remnants of that emotion towards them (wears off slowly if you leave the radius)

    You some how managed to convince your dad to let you go out to a protectorate autograph signing you couldn't remember who it was that was coming but you didn't really care you just wanted to go out think.

    Event roll result: 90
    (It had advantage on the roll because it was first of the series)

    Holy shit it was dauntless they're a really big deal and you got in line while it was (relatively) short maybe this was a sign that your luck was starting to turn around.

    *3 hours later*
    Forget what you said about the line being short its been three hours and it's finally your turn to get a picture signed

    Sudden inspiration for a drawing hits you the moment you brush hands with Dauntless, you where so distracted by it you didn't even realize Dauntless spelled your name wrong

    You where just casually browsing on PHO when you find an article about trigger events apparently people get powers after the worst day of their lives it would explain the disparity of villains to heroes.

    Too bad you didn't get powers after Emma shoved you in the locker or did you? Maybe those flashes of inspiration you had been getting all week where actually your power.

    You tried to write them down a part of you really hoping you had superpower another hoping that you just weren't delusional after the locker.

    And in the end you weren't just delusional you had superpowers and even better you where a power gaining trump

    Well you got what you wished for you got to interact with another cape and potentially get another power, if you survived.

    You where in the same building as oni lee with only cheap rag as a mask and a handful of weakening seals

    How the hell will you get out of this mess, how the hell did you get into this mess

    • Well, it's oni lee. Tagging him with a Weakening Seal of Any Variety is a no. Trying to Escape is a no go. Thus there's only one choice. Both for the very same reason in fact. He Effectively Duplicates himself and then gets rid of his old body. Any Weakening seal as a result would only effect his old body, and the new body is farther along then his old body was. So being chased by him won't work out too well. Thus only one choice really.

    The seals would duplicate and follow him the same way his grenades follow him when he teleports

    Also all somewhat decent seals you make can just ignore anything not targeting them

    Example: lungs flame aura,glory girls force field,teleporting won't affect them normally

    • People on PHO theorized that oni Lee's teleportation was line of sight based so if you could limit that you could escape or even defeat him if you got lucky.

    You manage to slap a weakening tag on his back and avoid the retaliatory knife strike.

    Lee starts flailing around trying to stab you with their knife whenever you get close enough for him to see you clearly, on one of their attempted swings you manage to slap another seal on top of them.


    oni lee can only see a few feet ahead of him and you have 18 weakening seals remaining you decide to

    Since the effects of the other seals are painfully obvious

    Here's what journey of lies does

    It creates a single clone of Taylor that set to perform a single task(or dying) for Taylor before turning to ash

    The clones keep their memories of each life and can even add objects to their seal allowing them to spawn with a copy of them

    Oh and they can't create seals

    Doppelganger is temporary JOL (journey of lies) lasts until the tasks is completed versus doppelganger which is on a time limit

    Also JOL will take any task including ones that can't really be completed or will take a ridiculous amount of time to complete letting you throw more manpower (taypower?) At a problem.

    JOL use: having them to attempt to arrest ALL the gang members or guard a place.

    Doppelganger use: bum rush someone with shadow clones

    TLDR: doppelganger is VERY helpful in the short term, JOL is obscenely OP in the long-term

    You sneak in and out of their field of vision tagging them with a seal and moving back before they could hit you back and after a lot of close calls you have a blind and disabled Oni lee

    Thank God he didn't know how your power worked or else he would probably have pulled those seals off
