Sartier Quest: A Tale of Song, Gods, and Trouble (CK2-Let's Go Hunt Gods, SV!)

...yeah, okay then. I still think Melody is good enough to on-board (but others might not) because god you just don't let Master Poisoners with good combat and intrigue -go-, but that means that's pretty much it for new agents outside of a truly great Steward type until we get more Statesmen. Or in worst case lose a current agent.

Actually, @OneirosTheWriter @Macchiato any hints on whether Carmen Rios is considering retirement soon? (wait she is a Venerated Statesmen, is she providing 2 Influence?)
She'll work until she physically can't, but she's a spry old battle axe. But she is rolling for death by natural causes each turn at this stage.

Venerated Statesman is two points, yes.

As long as she doesn't apply her poisoning skills to her father or some other noble who slights her <.<

No plans for Carmen to retire at this point in time but the best laid plans...

And that circles us back around to...
(As a side note, I've mentally penciled in Carmen Rios to do the Teuv research project next turn.)

Nooooo, Carmen, hang on a bit longer.

So, my (perhaps not so) crazy idea is because I checked over that action...
[ ] - Know thy Enemy - You know that Teuv is a large land-mass to the south-east that is home to zealous devotees of a pantheon of gods. But as things have been quiet for fifty years, much of the institutional knowledge has faded. Who are the Teuvian gods? What is their nature? What makes them attractive to followers? Perhaps it is time to do some digging. [40% base chance,4,000g, 2 turns, generate a report on Teuvian Gods, possibly earn bonuses to Teuv related rolls]
And I rechecked Carmen's age and, lo and behold, she's 67. So I posit that Carmen could have a hidden bonus to completing this action because she's...experienced enough to have literally lived through it and understand what was going on back then.

[X] Spectrum.

It took me a while to catch up between various other concerns, and I still think I don't fully understand what's going on, but I think I prefer Spectrum's plan and they're the more willing to hash things out.

If you have any confusion still, please let me know, I'm more than willing to keep talking. My reasons post a page ago might be a starting point.

Hey, I've already go my plan finalised - it's the one that Oneiros' post listing all the plans links to. If anyone has any questions about it let me know.

Well, I finally got around to reading through this, and I want to say @OneirosTheWriter and @Macchiato I'm really enjoying the original setting you've created here, and I think the quest itself is really well put together. Though the option fatigue is real, Though that might just be because I'm tired. :V

Either way on the talk of which plan to support, I'll probably come back and examine them when I'm not tired, but for right now I'm leaning towards:

[X] Spectrum

I figured it would be safe as long as I had at least a couple people willing to make plans, and then all the other people can vote for those without having to be drowned in the options.

As it stands, I'm starting to wonder if we should rethink the approach to turn votes...

Yeah, once things start running into bloat issues some games are able to instead parcel things out into miniturns where you only vote on the Diplomacy options for the turn in one post, then that updates, then the Econ options, and so on (see Sage's CORE for example) but that's not quite as clean here because of needing agents and being able to overload or underload a category and also physical locations playing into it (as opposed to less complex CK2 games where you have fixed # of actions per category per turn) and really needing to look at all of the options at once.

Glad you're enjoying it, we put a lot of hard work into trying to make it interesting to play in. And continue to, tbh >.> No secret that some of this stuff is being developed as we go although the foundation's there.

Yeah, we might need to talk about this a bit more considering our original intention had been to let it gradually group itself into subcategories based on type of action, and that doesn't look like it's eventuating, as @Spectrum pointed out. Discuss tonight?

Ohh yeah this is a thing. Hi guys! I'm back, having just written my dissertation in just under a week :)

Honestly, I've been doing some thinking and I'm probably going to vote [X] Spectrum this turn. The plan's better and he's (she's?) removed the bits I objected to.

@Crilltic even though I'm not voting for my plan this is still a hugeo betrayal of my trust, yo. what good are friends if they dont mindlessly vote for their friends plans in quests?

Ah man, I missed the vote. Oh well, next turn, I guess. This caught my interest, so I personally think you're doing something right.
