It is the year 2287, and the Minutemen have been pushed to the brink of collapse. Consisting of nothing but a small settlement and a handful of people, the Minutemen are the lowest they can be.

However, that is likely to change. Follow and help shape the Minutemen back into a force in the Commonwealth, and possibly more.
Sole Survivor

CubicAppalac

Why hello there, sit by the fire and join me.
Location
United States, Appalachia
Pronouns
He/Him
It is the year 2287, and you are the newly-designated General of the Minutemen.

Or… that's what Preston is telling you. To be honest, the Minutemen were just you and Preston. The rest of the survivors from Quincy were just a couple, an old lady, and a mechanic. Though, that doesn't discount these folks, you had to be made of tough stuff to survive Quincy and then a several-mile trek across the Commonwealth to get to Concord, only to get bogged down by raiders and saved by a parent trying to find their child.

Wasn't that a fucking doozy of a battle. Raiders, minigun and power armor, capped off by a literal fistfight with a giant-ass mutated lizard that you think has some chameleon traits, but that must've been a trick of the light.

Moving from your mental tangent, you look at yourself through your bathroom's mirror (which somehow survived the war unscathed, you're really glad you paid that renovator to renovate the bathroom like he did. You seriously wonder what happened to him, though knowing the likelihood of survival in a nuclear apocalypse he probably died) and stare long and hard at yourself.

What are you going to do now?

-C: 3
-I: 3
-A: 4
-L: 4
Traits:
-Trigger Discipline: Your time in the army has taught you that to be a soldier is to know when and when not to fire your weapon. How to keep your weapon in shape. And that you need to conserve ammunition. And you think that you need to impart this knowledge onto your Minutemen as well. (+5 to Combat-related Martial rolls)
-Inner Drill Sergeant: When you were in bootcamp you picked up a few things from your drill sergeant, who terrified both you and your fellow trainees to no end. Seeing the sorry state of the Minutemen, their arms, and even what they call uniforms gets your blood boiling, and you may as well use some of the lessons you learned from Sergeant O'Hannon. (+10 to rolls in regards to whipping the Minutemen into an actual military force)

[ ] Lawyer of Sanctuary
Name: Nora Winters
S.P.E.C.I.A.L
-S: 3
-P: 4
-E: 3
-C: 5
-I: 6
-A: 3
-L: 4
Traits:
-Lawyer: You are a lawyer, enough said. You've fought in a few cases, though had to stop due to your pregnancy and having to raise Shaun a bit. However, you do have a degree in Pre-War law, whatever good that does in the world of today. (+10 to rolls regarding laws and the creation of such)
-Soldier Husband: Your husband, Nate, was a soldier. While he was on leave he insisted you and him trained together. While you aren't quite on his level in many cases, you still picked up on a few lessons from him. (+5 to rolls in regards to training the Minutemen or combat)

Done with staring at your reflection and reminiscing on the old days, you get back to work, trying to help the Quincy survivors get on their feet.

Nora is the way forward towards building a functioning society out of the Minutemen, Nate is better at turning them into an army

Having actual laws is what separates the NCR and the the rest of the wasteland, and having those be applied under the rule of law is what separates democracies from the despotism of the pre-war United States.

Don't be like the pre-war United States.

[X] Survivor of Anchorage

While Having a Law background is good and all in the current state of the minutemen that matters little since the settlements will not adopt their laws unless they actually can protect them
