Actually, I can see good reasons. We go down the wrong tunnel, enemy comes in from behind us. Or possibly seals the tunnel behind us, and gets a win or a head start that way.

If his goal is just surviving us, well, that's a good way to beat 2v1 odds.
Given Tsurara can use her powers to manipulate ice and snow, I can't see how we could be sealed in.
Let's see if I can post a pic...
Says "they have the power to manipulate ice and snow", which should let her get through most things.

Be Killer Croc. Use a rock.

A big rock.

And again, if your goal is simple survival, sealing off the entrance and forcing the snow woman to work past your barrier while you run for it, possibly even towards her family, is viable.

Certainly, people are gonna be a lot more likely to panic. Especially if Mizore and her father start to wonder if we're dead.

And considering Eva served up a rather blatant vote to play into the memetic never split the party, I will be rather surprised if he doesn't have a trick up his sleeve to punish lazy thinking.

[X]The two of you should stick together, and investigate the tunnels one at a time.

Eva, can Tsurara make an ice clone?
That's a thing canon Yuki Onnas can do.
Because then she could just check out both places.
........actually, I had completely forgotten about that, but now that you mention it, I do recall seeing Mizore do that at least a few times during her introduction episode in the anime, and though my memory fails me to say for certain, I'd expect that she probably did it during the equivalent manga chapter as well.

......at the same time, however, I'm 99% sure that Mizore "conveniently" never used that ability again after that initial CF was resolved and she was firmly established to be a sympathetic character.

Hrm.....

Okay, the short answer I'm going to give you is that "Yes, Tsurara can make ice clones," because in every relevant canon media it's been demonstrated as a Snow Woman ability at least once.

However, I'm going to need a little while to mull it over before I'm ready lay down the law on the limits of that power.

And before anyone asks, it's reasonable to assume that the topic has somehow come up with Mizore or Tsurara offscreen prior to this, so whatever I decide on the subject, Jotaro can probably be assumed to know IC as well.

I believe she also did so to create an ice copy of Tsukune to trick Kurumu and her parent since she felt bad about dragging Tsukune along.

Awesome.
If we can use it here, that'd be really handy in working things out.

.....somehow wouldn't surprise me, but I'd like a citation of when it's supposed to have happened so I can go and double-check for myself.
Rosario Manga, Chapter 35, during the school festival Mizore makes 2 Tsukunes that pretend to be there so the real Tsukune doesn't have to deal with Tsurara and Ageha, due to guilt.

-[X]Have Tsurara seal off the tunnels you're not investigating yet with ice so that Yuuda Terada can't sneak out behind you to escape or lay an ambush.

Standing guard where we are now and having one of us walk off to investigate the caves could draw Terada out sooner though - it's obviously weakening the party there and could look like a trap, but a split group is also the guy's best shot at taking us down quickly.

It also provides a mid-point to meet back up with, and prevents both of us from wandering around areas we can't reach each other as quickly in, while also keeping an eye on the exit, so Terada can't just sneak out on us.

While you never really want to split the party in a horror movie, sometimes you've gotta make a tactical choice :V

[X]The two of you should split up, with one of you investigating the tunnels and the other one staying here to act as a guard.

Course, if we get lucky and walk right into Terada in the first tunnel, that'll be cool too.

Write-in accepted.

Right, that.
Sorry, not good with names.
It's fine. Went and re-checked the chapter in question, your original point is verified.

As for the Snow Woman clone power.....

<deep breath>

Okay, my official ruling is this:

*Snow Women can create moving ice puppets in their own image or in the image of someone they know, henceforth colloquially referred to as 'ice clones'.
*Snow Women are generally capable of creating and controlling more than one ice clone at a time, but never very many at once. In terms of ability to perform tasks, an ice clone could be thought of as analogous to a low-grade fantasy zombie, or to very simplistic kinds of robots. They can be used to fight, but are incapable of the fine motor control needed for constructive or domestic tasks.
*A Snow Woman does not receive sensory input from ice clones that she has created, nor is she aware of their situation/status.
*The creation of even a single ice clone requires both time and energy; in most cases, the average Snow Woman only has enough of each to create two - perhaps three, if they are particularly experienced in doing so - ice clones in a given situation without compromising their own ability to defend themselves.

Mm...
Make 2 ice clones, have them each go down a road and then have them make a sound if they spot someone?
What do you guys think?

[x] Tsurara, can you make two ice clones, one for each entrance, and have them walk forward and then just give a warning sound when they meet someone? Then we neither have to split up nor give him a chance to sneak past us.

Something like that.

"Something like that" would be okay, but I feel it's worth reminding you that there are six tunnels to investigate.

You can at most have Tsurara use clones to investigate two of them at a time, without either of you going into a tunnel yourselves.

Zeppeli, and by extension Jonathan, was able to use Hamon to detect and track Jack the Ripper back in Part I. Does Jotaro know about this technique, or can we have him stumble upon it somehow?
