Also, do stands belonging to vampires suffer from the same weakness as the vampires themselves? If not then I can see DIO just clad himself in his stand and fight mano-a-mano against Jotaro?
DIO pulled back from punching Joseph wit ZA WORUDO because of hamon'd Hermit Purple wrapped around him. Dunno if it was because it would've hurt it or if he didn't know whether it would and was erring on the side of caution.
My take is that it's depends on each Stands. Some Stands can have similar properties with it's user, some other aren't. Even including malevolent, parasitic Stand that refuse to die when its User was killed.

Frankly, I can't see why we can't have Star Platinum channelling Hamon.
That's it, this topic is going in the Third Annual Totally Superfluous Anniversary Q&A Special.

Long story short, because I'm the author, and I goddamn said so. And that's the bottom line, because the author goddamn said so.

Probably not, but it's hard to make a categorical statement on the matter because Stands.

Also, if DIO is smart enough why doesn't he go searching for the red stone of Aja so that he can also become an ultimate being like Kars? It could be a wayto give some extra conflict to the story.
1) I'd be immensely surprised if DIO knows it exists; 2) DIO isn't a Pillar Man.

And maybe Star Platinum gets shot by a stand arrow during the confrotation against alucard and becomes a requiem stand.
Not likely.

@EvaUnit01, I forgot to ask this at the time of the fight, but what would have happened if Tsukune or Jotaro had made eye contact with The Memory Remains?
It would likely have had no effect, due to the individuals in question not having any [memory templates] that would fulfill the Stand's activation requirements (someone you could never forget, even if you wanted to, and whom you never expect to see again).

[X]You're getting pretty freaking chilled, personally, but you're not injured. It's your stupid mother you're worried about.

I see...so basically what DIO will become to us? Then poor TMR, was a few years too earlier for us :V

Or Kakyoin, or Avdol, or Iggy, or Kahlua, or Akua, or Alucard, etc., etc.

It's too bad TMR became Ultimate Kars... it should have become Wammu.

Also, we don't NEED Star Platinum Requiem, whatever it might be. Star Platinum alone is strong enough to beat DIO.

Star Platinum Over Heaven, on the other hand...

Well...there is the Pucci problemo (tough we can just burn Dio's diary without reading it)

(or as you said...get Over Heaven ourselves, tough i don't think we will be let doing that)

I'd argue the best way to deal with the diary problem is just do what Avdol thought of doing but couldn't cause Jotaro, Kakyoin and Joespeh were too busy fighting D'Arby.

Just burn down the mansion with Magicians Red, or at least set it on fire.

No.

Esidisi is the original name and ACDC is what people use when they treat the names as straight music rips a Part earlier than when that started actually happening.
I like Eisidisi better than ACDC. at least looks like a name, and not just a random abbreviation that shouldn't have existed when the pillarmen where around.

On a related note, if you try to edit Wamuu, Esidisi, or Santana onto the Wikipedia page on Aztec gods, it will ban you from editing. Surprisingly, Kars is labelled as God of Fitness, but the link is to the page on the Polish county of the same name.

Hey Eva, what are your thoughts on this?:

I think this fits perfectly because of a theory of mine. Star Platinum's bullshit abilities make more sense if his ability isn't The World, but mimicry.

It takes the form and face of Jotaro, has the same range as Magician's Red and only manifests after Jotaro witnesses it, can enter his own and other's bodies to control them like Hierophant Green, though less painfully, gains Star Finger after witnessing Silver Chariot's sword counterbalancing it's range, and only mimic's Dio's abilities after seeing them: flying during Kakyoin's fight, seeing in stopped time after learning of it, and even mimicking Over Heaven's Truth.

I think the main reason Jotaro seems to drop abilities and get nerfed from time to time is his relatively average developmental potential, meaning it takes more effort to maintain needless abilities, hence dropping durability, phasing into bodies, and Star Finger over time.

By taking this observation and mimicry method to it's logical extreme, and as you said, Jotaro's intrinsic desire to improve and protect, he would definitely gain the ability to copy and near-match anything and everything around him.

Star Platinum's powers are kind of poorly defined in general. It can do a LOT of stuff, even stuff that it has never seen before. Like, its incredible precision is a thing for the entire series, as shown when Jotaro catches that bullet in the opening scenes of Stardust Crusaders. It has ridiculous vision, which nobody else Jotaro comes into contact with really has. It can duplicate The World's abilities, because they're apparently the same 'type' of Stand. (I have no idea what Araki means by this, because The World is obviously Dio's stand, not Jonathan's. so it's not just a matter of a blood-connection)

The precision and Vision could be it's two base abilities. Alternatively, those are what Holly's Stand would be.

Not sure about the Type thing though.
