Chapter 1 – Recovery
The first thing you notice is pain. Bright and sharp and above all else, hot. You feel every spot where Akainu hit, the burnt flesh tearing anew from the simple act of breathing. But the burns on your flesh are the least of your worries. Akainu wanted to be sure he struck a killing blow. His last strike blew a hole through your chest, and he left a piece of smoldering coal inside your body. Every breath causes it to flare with new heat, and the resulting smoke fouls your lungs. The coughing only makes things worse. You can't help yourself. You laugh.

The pain is excruciating, the laugh causing the coal to flare and smolder in a cylce of excruciating agony. You don't care. Even with your ship sunk, your crew captured or dead and a hole in your chest, Akainu still thought you'd survive. In its own way it is the greatest compliment the man could give you. You won't disappoint him.
You breath in. The stone flares. You breath out. The stone dies. In, out, in, out. Eventually, you find your rhythm. The coal still burns, but its nothing you can't handle. At the very least you should be able to survive until you find a doctor. Hopefully your crew managed to escape. Hopefully they are fairing better then you are.
Your ship on fire. The smell of smoke and burnt flesh in the air. Akainu standing above it all. Untouchable and uncaring. The sneer on his face as he looks at you, like you're a piece of shit he's just stepped in. C-39 falling to his knees...
No, those are thoughts for later. For now you need to rest, and deal with what remains of your wounds. Normally this is the job of the ship doctor, but you picked up a few bits and pieces during your own training. Auntie Maya was never exactly soft in her teachings, and you doubt you'd have survived if you hadn't learned to staunch your wounds.
She is sitting in the wounds when you find her this time, cooking something in the fire. After a day of hiking through the forest, a day without food, it smells delicious,
"I thought you'd given up.," she says. "You've been gone for a few days." She doesn't even look up from her soup.
"You weren't exactly easy to find". You say. You are 10 years old and already covered in poorly bandaged cuts. You'd be dead right now if she weren't more careful. "I'm ready for my next lesson!" You brandish the sword she gave you. It is pitted and stained with rust, with chips and gouges running down its length.
This time, you at least see her move, though it doesn't stop the cut from landing. Tomorrow, you will bandage your wounds and fight her again. You will do it again and again and again, until you are strong.
You are jolted from your reverie by the sound of rustling in the bushes. Someone is trying to sneak up on you in your weakened state. They will learn you are no easy meat. You focus, and call forth the third of royalty. The word Want. Your dream made manifest, it rushes out of you like a wave, and the world stills under its weight. Birds fall mid flight, tigers collapse were they stalk, and little girl sneaking up on you falls unconscious.
What do you do?
[]Wake her up
-[]Ask her to secretly get you supplies and medicine. You will bandage your own wounds before moving on.
-[]Ask her to introduce you to the town. Surely she knows the doctor there.
[]Leave her.
-[]You can follow her trail back to the village and get help on your own.
-[]You can heal yourself well enough to leave the immediate area alone. Best no to let anyone know you are here if you wish to avoid attracting the attention of the marines.
