    The world has come apart at the hinges. Every manner of disaster is striking, natural disasters strike across the world, political alliances shatter, wars break out.

    Meanwhile in the background factions prepare themselves strive to attain new levels of power unheard of... doing so through programs so inherently illegal that they survive only because of secrecy, political allies, and the state of the unraveling global situation.

    You are of course not blameless in this situation for you seek power just like the rest of them. You have managed to gain a defector from one of these organizations. And with what they brought with, and some interested backers seeking a tool with which to act. You can make your mark upon a crumbling old world, and maybe assert your posisition in it's new world... You find the power to shape such change because of a defector.

    Your defector comes from...

    [ ] Resident Evil- they brought samples of a miraculous virus....

    [ ] Bioshock- they brought an amazing sea creature with them...

    [ ] F.E.A.R.- they brought research on the creation of clone soldiers...

    [ ] Half Life- they brought research data in contacting an alien world...

    [ ] Crackdown- they brought the plans to create super soldiers

    [ ] Crysis- they brought primitive designs for powered armor

    [ ] Wolfenstein- they bring plans from Germany dating to a mad German inventor from world war two...

    [ ] [Write-in] must be a setting based on Earth, subject to approval



    You posisition in the world is that of...

    [ ] A government official +plenty of potential power moves -tons of oversight

    [ ] A corporation +plenty of economic power -tons of conflict with other corps

    [ ] A warlord +lots of room for growth -huge diplomatic disadvantages with most civilized factions at start

    [ ] A well off family +no attention for an extended period of time -backing entirely dependent on results

    [ ] A single person +you can entirely shape your efforts moving forward, entirely invisible until you get serious results -you utterly lack resources, connections, etc. Must forge your own path

    Basic idea is to be a player in a massive messy clash for dominance in the world as things start going to hell. B.o.w.'s replicas and more duking it out to give people an edge, while political conflict, and disasters shape the new world.

    Please ask any questions or comment on how I could improve the quality concept to be more clear and concise.

    I should also point out to @Kanata_Tsukikami @MedievalParadox and you that choosing any of these doesn't lock you out of the others. You'd simply need to encounter them once this commences.

    I respect your love of resident evil stuff though CX. Some crazy shit comes out of those viruses. Anywho, I'll tie break with a die roll at 11.

    Edit: Time to create some biological terrors! I will say the likelihood of seeing rapture soon is rather high though.

    I'm sorry about that, however if you guys start cranking out b.o.w.'s your gonna run into dudes in powered armor sooner then later. All it takes is one confirmed down and you can start studying the power armor lol.

    Also umbrella went into power armor. Those jackets on the tyrants also a powered form of protective gear, though not full on armor.

    Alright, well. This should be a ton of fun. Hopefully we can get all the cool good things Wesker got for ourselves with some work. Definitely looking forward to mixing and matching the different techs in the creation of absurd super soldiers.

    I've put so much thought into power armored tyrants shooting bees and other weird combos xD.

    voting is over I'm afraid. We got started with Umbrella corp tech because of the die roll, though we can get powered armor later.

    • New York is being cordoned off, a potent sickness is spreading, and the local umbrella pharmecuticals facility has gone entirely dark. The defector just barely made it out by leaving last night...

    The defector asked you what your cause was. They further asked if they could work for you. The only way for them to survive such a defection is with someone's protection...

    You opened the brief case the defector brought you. They had managed to make our with a whole 13 samples to work with. This was an impressive quantity to work with. Still...with your limited equipment these samples were unlikely to last long. You'd have to retrieve better equipment, get more samples, or otherwise accomplish enough work that you could harvest a sustainable amount of fresh samples of the virus. Of course you could always move on to other projects....

    You had to make a decision, for the short term how would you maintain your I'll gotten gains?

    Security and Yes so that this person can serve us, giving us a new security adviser, whilst protecting themselves and us.

    Work quickly to establish the sample pool, because viable sample pool means we can get to experimenting with it in larger numbers.

    You know....if the person who brought samples was a test subject you'd have a source of samples CX. Along with a project to possibly continue with other subjects.

    I like your plan as well btw.

    That's true, but as a security professional of the organization, they'll know how that organization works, will hopefully be stable and not a potentially dangerous test subject, will know how to work on our security, something I'm not aware of our player character having any kind of skill in, and it also means 1 less highly placed security professional for Umbrella, which is always to the good.
