Welcome to Rise from the Ashes, a God Game with a interesting twist. You the players will be in the roles of new born Minor Gods who will choose which fantasy race they will be the patron of, with pros and cons for your chosen race. Each player get Five God Points per turn, you use these God Points to affect the world around you with certain actions costing a certain amount of points. The cost of the action will be affected by your Domain, Your chosen people, and the action it self.

You remember that twist I mentioned earlier? Well the newborn Gods and Goddesses you'll be playing as were born right after the Apocalypse, with all the previous Gods, both good and evil, dead. The Divine Realm has been reduced from it's once glorious and awe inspiring heights to crumbling ruins. The Mortal World is in no better shape, whole continents have been sunk and once great kingdoms are now scattered remnants. Most of the land is barren and lifeless and Demons are running around unchecked. So things seem rather bleak at the moment, but maybe you can change that? Maybe you can help your chosen people, rise from the ashes?

Now before you can play, you gotta pick a Race to be a Patron of, now you need to be careful cause if your race gets wiped out, you lose and will be eliminated. Here are your choices.
[X]-Humans
Pro: Jack of trades, these guys are nothing if not versatile. -1 point from all Action costs.
Con: Trust issues: these guys blame the other Races for the Apocalypse. +2 to Action Cost when dealing with the Races and their Patrons

[X]-Beastmen
Pro: Children of the Wild: -2 points from all Actions dealing with the Natural World, Beast- Like deities get more Worship.
Con: Bad at Magic: these don't like magic and magic doesn't like them. +2 cost to all Action dealing with Magic, Gods with Magic or similar Domains will receive low Worship.

[X]-Elves
Pro: Blessed by Magic and Nature: Elves love Nature and it loves them back, as does Magic. -1 point for Actions dealing with Magic and/or Nature.
Con: Haters of Industry: They dislike Industrial advances, especially ones that harm Nature. +2 point cost to Industrial Actions.

[X]-Dwarves
Pro: Master Craftsmen: When a Dwarf makes something, they make it well.-2 point cost for All Actions for building something
Con: No Real Magic: Dwarves can't cast spells and have very low magical talent. +2 point cost to all magic based actions.

[X]-Saurians
Pro: Masters of Magic: Magic comes easily to the Saurians. -2 point cost for Magic Actions
Cons: What is "Science"?: they don't get Science. +2 point cost to Industrial and Science Actions.

[X]-Orcs
Pros: Lean Green Killing Machines: Orcs are REALLY good at smashing. -3 point cost to all Combat Actions
Cons: Savages: They aren't nice, or very Civilized. +3 point Cost to all Industrial Actions and Diplomatic Actions.

[X]-Kobolds
Pro: Dragon's Blood?: Kobold' s claim to be related to Dragons and there's some proof. -1point cost to Combat and Magic Actions.
Con: No Respect: Kobolds were never the top dog. +2 to all Diplomatic Actions.

Now after picking your Race, you pick your Domain. Your Domain will subtract one point from an Action that falls under that domain.

Once you've done all that, write up your Character Sheet with the Following Template.

Hmmm... sure. Have a bit of free time left, and the concept seems quite interesting.

Name: Fujiwara no Mokou
Domain: (Considering between 'Rebirth' and 'Magic'. One, the method, the other, the goal.) Rebirth
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Favored Race: Humans
A human mage who mastered her mortality long ago, she has lived a life untouched by death, age, or illness.

When the world was reduced to ash, she stood resolute, an imperishable defender who preserved those under her protection, and who earned their loyalty and worship in turn.

She has become a symbol for mankind's rebirth, endlessly rising from death as a phoenix, immortal.
She is a loner by nature, preferring to hold herself separate from others, out of an innate shyness and several events in her past. Given a bit of time to get past that, a blunt and lively demeanor is revealed.

For those she comes across, they will receive aid if they need it, or just a conversational partner for a while. Having watched dozens of generations pass by, however, she finds it difficult to grow attached to people.

When her worship was discovered, she was rather embarrassed by it, but is mostly happy that people are finding something to be confident in.

She'd rather like it if they would let her continue to make a living as a charcoal burner, however. So much more peaceful than being a god.

... yes, that's an expy, but she should hopefully at least fit the themes, and I'm not going perfectly straight on it.

Name: Powana
Domain: Magic
Alignment: Neutral
Favored Race: Kobolds
Description: A gaint dragon, Powana is the ultimate evolution of the Kobold race
Personality: She seeks to advance the Kobolds and do what is best for them, and herself. She desires worship, but it isn't all important. Nothing other then herself and the Kobolds matter to her.

Name: Istal
Domain: Nature
Alignment: Neutral Good
Favoured Race: Elves
Description:

Personality: He is a being who cares about the wellbeing of all life from the poorest of peasants to the highest of Kings or the smallest of plants to tallest of trees, all is precious to him, but if anyone life or not wishes to harm those he cares for or protects then his caring nature will easily turn to what would be best described as 'The Wrath Of Nature Itself'.

@ShieldCrown this good?

Name: Kalorgath

Domain: War

Alignment: Neutral Evil

Favored Race: Orcs

Description: A towering 12 foot tall warrior with his entire body clad in armor, his very being seems to resonate both strength and rage.

Personality: Kalorgath is a firm believer of the concept of survival of the fittest. Strength and prowess are ever to be considered. For this he looks down on the fallen old gods, too weak to survive the apocalypse despite their divinity. In the end, civilization is just a mask that falls away when strength comes to the forefront. For this reason he has taken the orcs under his wing, seeing in them the qualities he values most.

He is not without some virtue, however. Honor, especially on the battlefield, is an important code to Kalorgath. Thus no matter how much one hates another, they should never stab them in the back. Better to stab them from the front. A warrior without honor is naught but a mindless killer, and such beings make a mockery of what it means to be a warrior.

Name: Seztlinva
Domain: Lore
Alignment: True Neutral
Favored Race: Saurian
Description: A lizard-like being of colossal proportions
Personality: Curious. The world and all thr planes in existence are curious. So much to explore and so little time, even for a god. There are no secrets too esoteric, no depths too hidden or tome too forbidden for this god; if there is knowledge unfound then Seztlinva is on its trail.

Working on a description now, but this is what I have thus far.

Name: Vi'kava
Domain: Change
Alignment: Chaotic
Favored Race: Beastmen
Description:

A chimerical arrangement of features and body parts make for the form of Vi'kava. An otherwise chitinous body is covered with additional scales. Its spine seems like a great row of jagged plates and quills, shifting with wild glee as it rises. Its body, while longer as it reaches down towards a powerful, coiling tail, evokes an unsettling sense of foreboding and uncertainty. Numerous, pilfering limbs that end in long fingers, tendrils, or talons curved into hooks stretch forth from a torso that shifts and distends. A head, dotted with many eyes, some small while others dominate the center, stare ahead. There is a strange glaze to some, as if they stare elsewhere, focused on other tasks than those directly ahead.

Personality:

Vi'kava is peculiar being, prone to odd actions and otherwise abnormal behavior. It finds the wilderness of the world to be an excellent provider for strange and unique beings, amongst which it has come to find the Beastmen to be most favorable. The bizarre thoughts of the god shift continuously from one point to another, crafting strange solutions to obscure problems. A rather covetous creature that indulges in toying with whatever it can come to possess.

Name: Baldar
Domain: Industry
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Favored Race: Dwarves
Description: Slightly taller than the average dwarf. Always depicted as carrying his pickaxe.
Personality: Baldar enjoys travelling to many dwarven cities and visiting local crafts workshops, blacksmiths and other industrial areas. Often times, he holds competitions for the best craftsmen in the area, to hopefully create a sense of friendly competion to further increase the industrial capacity of an city or community. He does not favor good and evil, but despises anything that would hinder the industry.

I'll have the personality up in a few hours. In the middle of class.

The Sauron's seem really unblanced. Every other race has an equal or above bonus to cost ration, where as their pro nets them -2, where as their con nets them -6, counting both types of actions.

I'd also like to ask, can I use "Industry" as a domain? I'm planning on taking the dwarves

Hm, this looks quite interesting. I'll see if I can make something up for the Orcs.

EDIT: Aaaand completely ignored, wonderful.

Can Saurians be reserved? I have no idea what they are so I'll get to googling first.

Second Question:
Can people take the same race to be Patron of? I noticed Dark Ness just did Kobolds, and I am curious in the advent there is a limit to patrons for any one race, or if it is restricted to single patrons.
Each race gets one Patron Deity.

Yep.
@ShieldCrown can you reserve Elves for when I write up the sheet?
