The unstable build was encouraged to play with as many mods are possible, they're quite fine.
 
Does anyone know if the formula for the colony wealth is in the XML files? And if yes, in which file specifically? I tried digging around, but couldn't find it.
 
Okay, I'll probably do just that. My aim is to set the value of (some) floors to zero. But maybe there's already a mod for that?

Anyway, I have a feeling that Smoothed Granite has much less impact on colony wealth than all those unfinished bionics and 4k corn.

4k corn is a lot of corn. ;p

You have a stack modifier mod? If you want to do that, you need a mod to adjust raid thresholds.
 
The permits sound really cool. The noble system was a bit bare bones, but this kind of thing is really pushing them in interesting directions

Sure. But SOMEONE needs to be a nonpyro for the sole purpose of making sure Bob doesn't ignire the antigrain warhead.

However rebelling against the Empire means you miss out on Cataphract, jump packs, new quests , the new permit system (that literally gives you free labour and access to the drop ship) and so on. The "rebel" path (which doesn't really exist) is cutting you out of 70% of the new update IMO.

If you want for whatever reason fight the Empire, befriend them and get all the fancy new toys, THEN betray them.
 
The latest updating massively helped the noble side of the DLC, it wouldn't surprise me if the rebels saw some extra content in the next batch.
 
There are no rebels. They don't exist. There is one Deserter quest and thats it. Heck, even the Stellarch can have the Deserter background. There is the Empire and there is everyone else. Rebels imply the factions of the Rim were under the Empire's control. This is not the case.

My plan for my next colony is to make an all-cannibal tribe, work my way up the empire's ladder, and then invite the Stellarch over for dinner.
 
So yeah I can't actually do a modded pyromancer run yet.

The unstable version is 1.2 so no mods.
The other betas are all now before 1.12968

Mods only work on 1.1
Pyro only exist right before 1.2

The update yesterday made it impossible for awhile to do that.

So I sort of got it to work but I can't give my colonist orders directly, and yeah tribal won't work since pyromaniac isn't when breaking you start fires but anytime randomly so nothing can be flamable from day 1
 
If anyone has not yet installed the Mod Manager mod, which among other handy functions can save local copies of all your current Steam mods, now would probably be the time.
