On Thread Etiquette:

I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

Please endeavour to be cordial. :^)

Does anyone know when and where gyrocopters were made? I have this image of dwarfs flying with griffons stuck in my head and it looks really cool. In fact, why not go for Thunderbarges? I've seen pictures of them floating around and they'd make great platforms for both for dawi and griffons traveling large distances. Sort of like helicarriers, but dwarf style.
The Age of Woe, literal thousands of years in the future, unfortunately.

It's gonna be....a while. We could try and speed it up I suppose, but we're not exactly an engineer.

Snorri staring contemplatively down at his palms. In his left hand, the Rune of Gyros. In his right, the Rune of Coppers. Perhaps if he combined them... into a 'copter gyro'...?

Can anyone tell me what exactly the Before Pillars refer to in our char sheet age?

My knowledge of whf is only through osmosis, so its pretty spotty.

this refers to the time when Valaya set up the first two Runed pillars of the Everpeak's main hall its when the modern warhammer dwarfs calendar starts
huh. So we're pretty far away from anything noted in the timeline.

Though in the timeline, the Throne of Power was created 100yrs after the Pillars. Or is the Throne of Power different from that throne Snori and Yorri saw with the Rune of Eternity?

Titles: Drakksdottir

did kahrstah always have this or is this something new?

Yeah, she had that title when we first got her.

From her temperament apparently.

[ ] Apprentice: Karstah Khazadsdottir:
A rarity, nai damn near impossibility, most days, but in the aftermath of the incursion perhaps expected. As her last name suggests, Karstah is one of the many foundlings brought about by the horrendous loss of the Incursion. Karstah has spent the past thirty years in the foundling wards searching for a chance to prove herself. Holding on to what few items of value she has, two sets of clothes, two hammers, and a dwarf doll that bears your mark. She's got an average amount of talent, but what draws your attention is the sheer drive she has. Desperate and angry, the other foundlings have taken to calling her Drakksdottir because of how she spits fire with every breath.

That was the Throne of Power, they saw it about 10 years after it was made since turn 21 was around 113 AP.

Wonder if Big Bird would still get a boost if we let them eat the Greedy One's heart.
nope. the mojo that made him mutable is gone (with the winds).

Though speaking of the heart... we could use it as a source of infinite Troll heart meat for when we open our Kulgur restaurant. It would be like black truffle. We grate a little bit of it on the dish, just to add some extra T5 troll flavor (and jack up the price) :V

Are we going to make Griffin armor out of adamant? Do we even have enough if we wanted to?
no. I think we're going to use Pure Gromril and Kholek's hide.
Making the griffonking armour entirely out of adamant would be more extravagant than I could justify, even with Snorri's improved throughput, but I wouldn't mind using adamant for some critical pieces and pure gromril for the rest. Like four adamant bars or so, maybe - I seem to recall the whole suit taking 16 bars of metal, so that'd be a quarter of the suit's component parts being adamant.

Wings or Wing joints definitely need Adamant. And critical areas in the chest and sides as well.

We domt want Big Bird to get taken out like a chump by a lucky hit after all.

Don't think it really matters from a mechanical perspective.

Going to point out that we have confirmation that Adamant is better used for making things entirely out of instead of using small bits for things since it just gives a minor boost otherwise. Not to mention that the Sky King is probably a lot bigger now after eating Kholek's heart.

Is strange that you can't justify the expense for the King of the Skies armor that he will use forever, even assuming we can't increase production it would only take 6 turns to stock what we would need to armore him as we did with our own king, wich is a very good simbology. And I can't help but fell that with how good a combo we have and how many materials we have to bosst it making it of adamant may very well push this armor to be tier 5 evenw whitout a tier 5 ingredient, and that should be worth the wait.
