I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

So this turn I really want to put all our actions into royal panoply and the dowry gift just so we can strut our stuff again!

[ ] Plan Producing Quality Products
-[ ] [Difficult] Dowry Pt. 2: Two cloaks and an amulet to be ready for the wedding of Prince Durabarr Stonehammer and Princess Orra Ironarm. All that needs to be done now is make the things. With the arrival of so much high-quality dragonhide, you've decided to use it instead of the hide you had ordered. A multi-piece project. [Cost: (3 -1) =2 actions] Productivity Like No Other will proc. Due in 1 Turn. 3 Actions.
--[ ] Use the T4 Dragonhide
-[ ] [Difficult] A Higher Standard Pt. 2: You've gazed upon the face of the Ancestors a lot in the past few years, especially when you were making your alchemical flame spitters, and it's inspired you. A banner to rally behind, something that dwarfs will look to and fight all the harder with it at their back. A banner worthy of the hold of Kraka Drakk to be held aloft with pride by an equally worthy standard-bearer. [Cost: 1 action] Productivity Like No Other will proc. 2 Actions.

So I know we'll probably never do it unless we find a special but more easily-acquired material, but I am curious: how many bars would it be for a solid dwarf-sized Gronti? How much for an Ogre-sized one?
8 bars. About as much as a skeleton of adamant for a Bloodthirster sized Gronti.

RHUNRIKKI STROLLAR (Warhammer Fantasy Golden Age Dwarf Runelord Quest) Fantasy - Users' Choice!

You play as a Snorri Klausson, Runelord of Kraka Drakk, in the earliest days of the Karaz Ankor, and through the Highs and Lows of the Canonical Golden Age.

for other gronti numbers.

Hmm, so if I'm understanding right, the wyrm bone would actually be somewhat worse as an armour base than pure gromril would be, the extra tier being balanced out by the fact that it's a 'wood' subtype as opposed to a 'metal' one.

Edit: I can't help but feel that a 3/2 action split on armour and dowry is what's needed here, put one bar of adamant on each of the suits of armour to boost their runes, use the wyrm hide for the cloaks.

It won't result in super spectacular dowry pieces, but the King's armour seems completely messed up, and we're at the height of the incursion next turn.

Hmm, if we chuck 2 actions into the dowry it should have that finished in time for the wedding. The question is if we chuck our remaining 3 actions into the royal panoply would that finish both armour sets up in time for the wedding?

What can we make for the KoTS right now? There's no time to research an armor variant of the Master Rune of Currents. I personally don't see the Master Rune of Gromril as the right choice, simply because I imagine a Gryphon will have less of its body covered than a Dwarf, reducing its value. Maybe it would be better served with a stack of runes of Iron of Fortitude, enhance its natural abilities rather than rely on metal. I almost want to give it a talisman with three runes of Warding.

So, there's a Master Rune of Everfrost? That certainly sounds like the Conduction counterpart we've been talking about.

A gaping cavity where its heart likely was, standing in stark contrast to the pure white scales surrounding it.
So the King of the Skies has graduated from eating the hearts of Greedy Trolls and is now munching on Elder Frostwyrms. :o

Seriously, how big/powerful has he become? Because I get the sneaking suspicion that we'd need 12 bars of adamant to make armor for this guy now.

yes they'd be done by the time of the wedding. You would present the armours seperately but they'd be done.

The King of the Skies is the size of a mammoth.
Guys, the Sky Kong's chain doesn't require an action to start. Let's send the King on a Hunt already so we can start building his armor!
Nah, we need 3 actions to make such an armor.

3 actions to hypothetically armour the King of the Skies

He's not wrong though.

We make the request. Not pay the cost of construction (yet).

Sneaking suspicion? Soulcake told us how much is needed.

I think this works how we wanted it? Or did we want adamant for the heir and dragonbone for the king? Adamant to keep the heir alive and dragonbone as a show of power for the king of the Dragon Hold.

Demi God Griffon man, if he lives long enough he will be something greater demons fear. Issue is well living long enough.
Heh, in this timeline the dwarfs will be witness to two different mortals ascending to the level of god-hood: Sigmar and the Lord of Air. I have to wonder if the pre-Empire humans will have a second god alongside Ulric.

So, I'm thinking 2 actions each for the royal Panoply and Dowry, then 1 action to finish off this stage of a Higher Standard. Thoughts? That'd get our started projects out of the way, so we can get to work on either armoring the King of the Sky or building bolts for Khotek.

@soulcake If we want to finish the Royal Panoply this turn, can we use the Bar of Adamant we'd get this turn so we have 4 bars to work with? 3 to fully make one suit out of Adamant, 1 to place Runes on for the other.

Guys, seriously. We need to send the King on a Hunt if we want to start building his armor. It costs us no actions.

As well, the Throng isn't going to be ranging out far this turn. This is the perfect time to send the King on a Hunt.

So pick some rare material we can send the King after and get going!

Hell, why not send him after a Giant Mammoth, or even another of those mountain dwelling creatures that we fought during the Valiant's purge?

1 bar of Adamant won't reach the minimum amount needed to give the armour Runes the boost from being inscribed on Adamant. Its all or nothing for dwarf armour.

Dolgi limps forward at the front of the procession, one of his legs in a splint. Snerra is beside him, holding him up with her one good arm while her banner, strapped to her back with lengths of chain, blows defiantly in the breeze. The power it emanates invigorating all around her just enough to walk and wait for the priests and priestesses of Valaya to get to them.
"Elder Moira is correct. Until I am recuperated Gloin will lead the Throng in my stead. Reach will be shortened to the tertiary level, no more than a day out from the Hold. Griffon patrols will remain unaffected I am told. They don't need as long to recover, sort of like the trolls they eat where they'll get back up if they aren't killed. A boon when our allies are the ones that are damn hard to put down I must admit." Otrek grumbles before Moira passes a mug of fortifying ale, and stares him down until he finishes drinking it.

I really want us to use the Greedy One's Heart to make a healing banner. I know we're making an entirely different banner right now, but we just lost a quarter of the throng. Is there a better use for the Heart than to keep our fellow dwarves from dying in and out of battle? We shouldn't ourselves be greedy and keep saving it for some future perfect use. It's the most powerful crafting item we have, and we should use it to defend our people now during this most dangerous incursion of chaos.

It's a matter of more products vs maybe higher quality products, that is, only making the Dowry and Banner now, doing the armor next turn with even more overflow just in time for the wedding. The latter has us able to immediately begin work on other things.

In this troubling time, I'm not so sure.

@Captain Spatula based on the words of soulcake we want bone AND hide, meshed with Pure Gromril.

For either plan, I strongly support putting the Frostwyrms blood into the Rune of Frost of the Hailmantle dowry.

Damn. I don't suppose Kraggi's favours could be used for extra Adamant. Certainly not 2-3 bars.

But I also do think that the King and Prince need that new armour ASAP. This fight here proves it.
