I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

An AAS with JUST THIS is *THREE* Adamant a turn! Three! That puts even if Siphoning AND Compression does nothing, from 8 bars expected to 11 bars! That will cut payoff time from 3.75 turns to less than three!

I am actually giggling in GLEE.

Well. I think we know what we want as the basis for our second hand weapon.
Not gonna lie, I'm kinda looking at the Armor version for maybe making an Anti-Magic Shield.

-- Master Rune of Purification [Armour]: The armour glows bright like heated metal and burns enemies that touch it, spells cast against the wearer are converted into heat energy and projected outwards as either a pulse or concentrated jet of flame from anywhere on the wearer's body.

Maybe MPurification, Spellbreaking, and… I'm not sure yet. Don't really need Spelleating cause Purification already does that. Hmm.

But making a Purification weapon/Axe that's MPurification, Daemonslaying, Gazul is also really fucking tempting.

UGHHHH! So many good ideas, so few slots.
 
So we are compressing Expurgation and making M.Expurgation + Gazul's flame axe, right?

Besides that it seems to me that our next major focus in the short term is the upcoming war with the chaos lizards since I doubt any of us want them to actually achieve there goals.

Also damn if I'm understanding it right our Adamant research has decreased which is huge for our research time-tables!

How does the Master Rune of Purification's structural version work?
What you inscribe it on is treated as a smelter. if its on a room, that room is now a smelter that can get hot enough to make Adamant (I had to edit that, it can go higher than Pure Gromril)

the description is more general for a reason. *cough* Maybe make stuff with it *cough* try it and find out. #Mechanics

so spend some time on our new school construction, work on a new weapon, do some research, then in about 2 turns or so go to war to prevent another Siege?
 
Guys, I want to do the request for a gift for the High King, like a Talisman with our new rune on it, he probably has better stuff, but anything anti magic or demon is always a good gift, plus he let us see this gear, we have to do something for him
 
so. what are the thoughts on making a new axe finally? the weapon purification rune seems pretty sweet. not sure what two regular runes should go with it though.

i would really like to get it designed this turn if at all possible. which i think it is, especially if we dont march to war this turn (which tbf we probably should)
 
Okay so some very short estimations.

Cost of 3 Adamantine Adamant Smelters: 30 bars.

Current Generation: 2 bars.

Generation assuming Siphoning and Compression do NOTHING to this per smelter: 3 Bars(2 for Structural Purification, x1.5(Adamant)) x 3 (Smelter Max Count) = 9+2 = 11 Bars, = 33 bars in 3 turns to pay it off. Time for Full Snow Weapon Hearth Guard: 11 turns (10.9 and change but meh)

Generation assuming Siphoning and Compression add .5 bars per smelter: 3.5(2x1.5, +.5) x3 = 10.5+2 = 12.5 Bars = 37.5 bars, 3 turns to pay off. Time for Full Snow Weapon Hearth Guard: 10 turns(9.6)

Generation assuming Siphoning and Compression add 1 Bar per Smelter: 4(2x1.5 +1) x3 = 12+2 = 14 bars = 42 bars, 3 turns to pay off still. Time for Full Snow Weapon Hearth Guard: 9 turns(8.5)

I don't think anything higher is plausible, but I was violently wrong about how much just Structural Purification would do, so. Yeah.

Once again: These are conservative estimates that may or may not be exceeded by actual results, this is meant to present a bare minimum result.

Of note: if we get to 4 bars/smelter somehow(unlikely IMO) then armoring the Hearth Guard in Adamant is plausible in a longer timeframe. Which would be actually hilarious to me.

Did away with the Gildercoat version, because an answer from Soul clarified how Spite acts via spooky action at a distance which won't work for what I had in mind with Gildercoat.

The Master Rune of Spite (T4 Stonehorn Eye) + Rune of Spellturning (T4 Stone Troll's Blood) + Rune of Gazul's Flame (T4 Magma Wyrm's Blood)

As a thematic statement, I like this: "Protected by fires of the Underearth, if the bearer comes to harm by magic or weapon then the foe will find even more terrible wounds appearing on their body, wounds that burn with the flames of the underworld that abhor all evil things."


My plan here does some simple things. The first is doing 2 into Movement Six gets us Structural Siphoning, need to finish that up for Khazagar and its in easy reach. Then because I know people will want to, 2 actions into Dragon Rearing to just keep that going.

Final Snorri action is to do some personal war prep and have things set up for building the talisman on either turn 51 or turn 53, before we march for war again. Also on the war, a nice thing about it is that the extra time we got here was due to good Regional RER rolls and a good Elf trade roll. (there was a really good Waystone roll on the side which I don't think really had to do with the city coming down). So the Far North is perfectly capable of destroying cities without our help.

Odd Wyrm's blood just trucking along. Karstah and the Retainers and Drakk Favor here are able to be used to get six progress on Khazagar, meaning we'll get more overflow on it on turn 52 at the end of the day.

Our Retainers are going to be relevant to the war so we can work on Training them up in prep for the war. Hopefully we get a chance to gain Ravnsvake favor in the next few turns so we can grab that final option. We also use some Valaya favor to buy off the Ravnsvake option, which should be fine, we get a lot of activities from the valayans to begin with.

Finally, the orders are for the Hearthguard Mountainsouled banner post Khazagar, and making sure we have the reagents for the spite talisman ready sooner than later.
