Welcome to Resist and Bite, the Xcom quest no one knew they wanted.
You, the as of yet unnamed Commander of a new resistance cell, are tasked with the seemingly impossible duty of fighting back against Advent and their otherworldly masters.
And while many would bulk at the thought of fighting an enemy with nearly every advantage with a mere force of 20 men, you are not just anyone. You stand above those people.
Perhaps its your raw strength, or maybe its your logical mind that gives you confidence. Maybe it's the loyalty of your men who follow your orders with grim determination?
Or maybe your best the best option at the moment, who knows?
As the commander of your resistance cell, you should not be in direct combat. However you can customize your character much more easily than you can your cell.
You have 4 points you can use to buy perks from the list below. These perks can affect your character and mentally, physically or socially.
[] BEEFY: No one has to ask if you lift. Just don't try and wrestle a muton. Gain a bonus to melee combat and durability. Cost 1 point.
[] NIMBLE: When you run, you run. Gain a bonus to escape and speed rolls. Cost 1 point.
[] TECHIE: You built a laser gun. It exploded, but it worked. Gain a bonus to research rolls, can more easily build new/unique equipment. Cost 1 point.
[] UNNATURAL ATTRACTION: The aliens seem to like you, strangely enough. Now if only you knew why? Are 50% more likely to be taken alive by aliens. Gain a bonus to social rolls with aliens. Gain a debuff when talking to humans. Cost 1 point.
[] WEALTHY: You got a well needed cash infusion thanks to the lottery. Double your starting wealth. Cost 2 points.
[] PET TRAINER: Your father taught you how to train animals throughout your childhood. Gain the ability to train animals. Costs 2 points.
[] XCOM: You are one of the few Xcom operatives to survive the invasion of Xcom hq. While you don't know where any of your old squad mates are, you still have your training. Gain captain rank in a single soldier class. Gain a bonus to recruiting Xcom Hero units. Gain a bonus when personally training your resistance cell. Cost 3 points.
[] TRAITOR: When you told your men you recruited an alien, they laughed. Looks who laughing now. Gain a random Alien hero unit. Cost 3 points. Costs 2 points if unnatural attraction is chosen.
[] HUSKY: Your mom called you pleasantly plump. Your father called you big boned. Your friends said your fat. Gain 1 point.
[] UGLY: You went a few rounds with the ugly stick. The stick won. Gain a debuff to social rolls. Cannot take unnatural attraction. Gain 1 point.
[] WOUNDED: You lost both of your legs in the initial invasion of earth. Lose half of your mobility. Gain 2 points.
[] KNOWN AGITATOR: They know of your dissent. Your resistance cell starts with 1 notice. Gain 1 point
[] WAIF: You are maybe a bit to thin. Not unhealthy, but not what you expect out of a Resistance Commander. Gain 1 point.

No matter how special you are however, your men are the ones who are in the most danger. With this danger however, they have grown in their own way.
Something that gives them one small edge against Advent and their near limitless numbers.
Choose your cells first trait. Traits effect your resistance cell on all levels and can not be removed without great effort.
[] BOMB VOYAGE: Your men like explosives a bit too much. Gain double the number of grenade slots. Explosive research dc is halved.
[] AQUATIC: Your resistance cell has no problems with getting a little wet. Allows for underwater ops to be taken.
