Ruki woke with a gasp as she held her face. Sweat slid down her cheek as she leaned against the metal hull of the Yamato. It's been a few hours since she got back from Miss Tomoe's place. She was a nice girl and even helped her out when she woke up. Ruki didn't want to overstay her welcome but it's been a big day the whole time since then. She needed some time alone to think about everything that's happened. The meeting with the military group and the battle at the church sprung into mind.
She could still hear that thing laughing at the back of her mind as she fought it. She didn't even have control of her body back then, all she knew was that she had to protect her companions. Ruki fought even as her body was being worn down, torn to shreds, it was... A feeling of ecstasy just being able to protect others.
It felt good.
"No. Gotta focus," Ruki breathed as she shook her head. She continued fixing her Ship as best she could. Picking up her broken pieces until she was all better.
The events that transpired since she met her senpai was a little overwhelming. Relishing the monotony her work gave her was a nice change of pace. Waking up earlier this week, she would have never expected this sort of thing to happen. Ruki used her wrench to tighten the screws on the side of the Yamato's hull and stepped back to admire your work.
"Big things are going to happen soon. I can feel it," she murmured as she stared at the Ship before giving it a good pat, "Hopefully we can get you up and running by then."
She always had an eye for people and she knew that her senpai was going to be in a whole lot of trouble. She knew that her senpai was hurting just by looking at her. She was familiar with those sorts of people and she can't help but be drawn to them, to help them, but the way Homura was broken was just saddening.
Homura Akemi was a broken person and Ruki could see that much. She wanted to help her but she didn't know how...
"Remember."
Ruki sighed as she shook her head. She had a busy day yesterday and having her face blown off wasn't exactly on her list of plans. But as long as she's useful to her senpai then it was fine. Maybe she should look into this feeling in her. This odd sense of familiarity. Leaning against the Yamato, the girl looked at her Soul Gem as it emitted the same orange glimmer.
She couldn't help but wonder what sort of trouble her senpai would bring her next. She's feeling excited already.
