Renascence: A Homura Quest

Honorifics or Western-style Titles? I've used both before, which is bothersomely inconsistent

So...she's kinda-sorta Archer/Shirou. Well, damn.
We knew that already.

Uhhh I dont know what to do...either..
[] Try to snap her out of it.

But I can just see her recoiling in fear after everything Hommando has done....its cliche but a good one...as for...

[] Just wait...you don't know what's happening, but who knows what could happen if you interrupt it?

Well the masquerade is up already...hmmm

Well, we already knew that Sayaka wanted to be a Hero of Justice..........And Puella Magi are pretty similar to a blend of Counter Guardian and Lich..........

Uh..... Yeah. Wow. Sorry, Sayaka.

I'm thinking a combination of 1 and 2: Grab Sayaka in a tight hug. Break eye contact, but force physical contact. We don't want her to see the entirety of Homura's 'legend' — that's centuries of anguish. But simply looking away leaves her in an awkward state, and Homura in a sort of guilty position. Unadorned 'snapping her out of it' doesn't feel right, either.

[x] Grab Sayaka in a tight hug. You don't know what she saw, but if she saw your "legend"...

See, this is why we shouldn't walk around with firearms in broad daylight.

We could just move to an AU MURICA like one written by BlackDragon6.

In which the Americans build Ion Satellites complete with beacons that work like in movies for Action Hero style beacon placing and running away while the Ion Strikes down. (Or sell prototype tanks to people who find old Nazi Tanks to trade in for collectors among the Tank Makers...)

Actually uh please tell me this is how MURICA is in this mix! The amount of awesome firepower would be fun.

I think it works better as a combination personally.

It breaks eye contact to stop her from reading anything else, gives comfort if she's amenable, and gives us a good grip if she's about to freak out.

Longer thoughts:

Letting the vision finish may give Sayaka insights into the things Homura has forgotten, which could be quite useful. However I think it would also traumatize Sayaka, and severely impair Homura's growing friendship with her.

Of particular note, though: we never unlocked Library 3 for Sayaka. I'd thought we'd had a special gift from Sayaka in the initial "missing inventory" stuff (concert tickets or something), but reviewing the missing inventory, there's nothing from Sayaka in there. I must be remembering a different quest.

However, given that, whatever Sayaka's library 3 memory is is likely to be on the unpleasant side. If we have no memory of a time with Sayaka like we do with Kyouko... We do not want Sayaka finishing that sequence. Even if she might conceivably view Homura as a type of 'saint' for the effort she's put in to save Madoka, it just carries too much risk with it.

On the other hand, snapping her out of it risks her only getting half the story — perhaps only the recent time loops, and not the original timelines that gave birth the path that Homura had to walk. Not getting the full story may end with Sayaka reacting badly.

...

Speaking of reacting badly, I just realized the recent pause in posts made me forget to actually select the omake reward. I was still giving serious consideration to Comfortingly Calm. I'm not sure this will quite qualify as Homura delivering the revelation herself, though.

I think.... even if it does not count, I'm still going to take it. I think it fits a bit more with what I hope Homura will become.

[omake bonus] Comfortingly Calm

Also going to go with Wzd_JA's refinement:

Well the good thing is, at least Sayaka isn't in danger of witching out.

Hopefully Sayaka doesn't see ALL of Homura's legend, because her legend begins in the 12th century.

More seriously, it might include things that even Homura doesn't know about, like Homulucifer.

She most probably would because it's JUST the same kind of thing she'd do.

Her prickly relationship with Homura in the past is because she hates the type of selfish pragmatic person that she thought she was seeing.

Weird, is Homura starting to actually like Sayaka again? It is kind of interesting how Sayaka and Madoka mirror each other's strongest traits. To be expected of good friends with a long history.

I support your friendship Homura! You can do it!

On the other hand she could become even more devoted....though I think she would be too shaken to participate in the meeting.
