Quelana, Witch of Chaos (Dark Souls)

...I just had a really scary idea.

FORBIDDEN CHAOS SUN!
If you pay attention, that's basically what it already is. The DS2 lava effect is more subtle, but it's there.
I always wanted to use pryomancer to create fire elementals which I thought would be possible since all pryomancy is based on the Soul of Life.

Being able to create temporary minor life in the form of Fire Elementals would be fun.
That's... basically what the Bed of Chaos is doing. It's possible to create something that isn't omnicidal, but I don't think Quelana would risk it.

Hey, I know we taught Pyromancy to the world, but do you think a human could learn the original Flame Sorcery?

You know, I've always subscribed to the idea that the flame of chaos was basically a success in terms of creating a new flame. After all, it's a flame that gets stronger when fed with humanity, and with how omnipresent humanity is, that's basically the setup needed for an indefinite age of fire.

I wonder if we could use that somehow.

While it is a success in a sense using it is very dangerous (more so than normal pryomancy) and can lead to those using it to become corrupted and transformed.

We would need to be very careful using it for anything really powerful.

I think that if our mother could not crack that one, the odds are against us...besides, if we try to take control of it we'll most likely make things like five times worse.

Knowing us, we'd try to stabilize it with Dragon Souls or something...then we'd get merged into it, and erupt from the ground as a five kilometer long dragon made of writhing branches, flesh, fire, stone, and things best left unsaid. On wings of lava we would fly and devouer all things, leaving nothing but ash and fresh demons in our path as we turn the world into a hell the very worse case scenarios of Gods and Men could only dream of.

...then we consume Priscilla, the remaining Lord Souls, and the First Flame, and things get worse.

Maybe we can go to the Painted World and grab some Occult items that can help us.

Also maybe make friends with everyones' favorite fluffy tailed half dragon. We have so much in common with her deadly, alone for a long ass time, and no longer have a family or friends to call upon. We will be the best of friends.

Also would the power of her Life Drain actually help us to fight the Soul of Life?

You know oolacile is pretty good at magic too, maybe we can find someone or something in the ruins to teach us.

Cold fire or freeze flame. Just trying figure out a good name for the duo

One problem with that: it's at the bottom of a very large, very deep river.

Forbidden Sun is sort of small potatoes, really, if Quelana really tries to apply herself. We could probably do things like a mini version of Ceaseless Discharge's lava beam, which is sorta an "I win" button outside of game mechanics. It's fast as fuck, long range, and will absolutely annihilate anything it hits that's not itself immune to lava, which ain't much. We'd need help against the scarier demons in Izalith, at least.

Our goal is to help our little brother anyway so we are going to meet him at some point.

We need to get back that ring he dropped.

Wait, I have a plan...get me some Red Titanite, a piece of Rubbish, a happy turtle, and some of Priscilla's tail shavings, and meet me at Ash Lake!

Come on!

Hope we cam meet up with Solaire since he is literally a ray of sunshine to our dark depession.

Also in a way we are after our own sun by seeking to save our family when doing so will be a great challenge.

We will succeed though.

[X] Journey to the surface. You need time to think and it's been years since you've seen the sky.

We seriously need to get out of Blighttown, unless we intend to brave Lost Izalith and retrieve our dear brothers ring. otherwise, we may as well head to the surface. If nothing else, if we intercept the Chosen Undead, we have a idea of who we're going to be messing with ahead of time.

Otherwise, I'd say that ringing the bells should be a priority. In case everyone forgot, Lordran doesn't have a direct passage to Anor Londo within it, so the Painting World and Gwyndolin and even Seath are currently beyond us, unless we're willing to traverse the mountain on foot. As much as Priscilla would be a great help, I don't know if we can convince her out of exile.

Should be interesting, though. I'll be watching this.

Still worth a try though

One advantage us being us is that the powers that be in Anor Londo are going to know who we are, and have probably met us at some point.

Being the daughter of the Witch of Izalith makes us sort of a big deal, and Gwyndolin, Ornstein, etc. are going to want to see us if they learn that we're alive and weren't turned into a monster when Mom's science experiment when kablooie.

Problem then is actually getting a message to them.

Worth a try, yes, but this is Dark Souls. I mean, it's also possible to beat Gwyn with a broken right arm, doesn't mean its likely to work! :p

Personally, I favour going to Priscilla anyway. She might pass along a scale that we can make into a catalyst or some other benefit if we're lucky, even if she doesn't decide to help us by accompanying us. Accompanying is obviously the preferred solution in case the Chosen Undead is trigger happy, but... yeah...

Other NPCs made it to Anor Londo on their own somehow.

We can either brave Sen's Fortress on our own or with the Chosen Undead and whatever added company we meet up with and take the flying demon elevator.

IC, though, why would Quelana want to go to Priscilla? The Lifehunt is, in the lore at least, so pants-shittingly terrifying that she was banished to another dimension for it. Even if Quelana knows that Priscilla's a nice girl, why would she want to go anywhere near that, especially with her experience regarding people trying to utilize powers beyond their control?

As far as we know Priscilla can control it the Gods just sent her away cause they feared her even though she is a nice girl.

Also Quelana can relate to her on a lot of levels and is willing to do whatever it takes to help her family. If the Life Hunt can do that she might take the risk.

Besides the Painted World has lots of items the Gods feared in it like the Dark Ember that we might be able to make use of.

Because Priscilla is stupidly popular? Priscilla is the daughter of a dragon and has had a shit ton of time to think, who knows, she might know something we don't.

In fairness, the situation in Lordran is reaching the point of pressing 'the button' to resolve it, depending on what, exactly, the Chosen Undead is. We're one of the Giants. We want the Age of Fire to keep going. If he meets the Kaathe in the depths, we could be in serious trouble...

That's something we haven't considered. The Four Kings have a piece of Gwyn's Lord Soul. How viable is taking it from them? Maybe we can recruit Ornstein to help.
