I think it got posted earlier. Let me check.

Okay, yeah. Check on page three for a post by a guy named Sereg. It'll have some long quotes that explain Worm. Haven't read 'em myself since I already know most of everything but apparently they help.

As said, I've already posted a bit. Read that first before reading this as otherwise you won't understand my next explanation.

Next thing you need to know based on this situation:

Taylor, the protagonist, joins the gang known as The Undersiders, initially because she wants to go undercover and report to Armsmaster, but she decides she likes them more and decides to stick with them. (She eventually leaves them, but that's partially to try protect them). While with The Undersiders, she uses the Cape name of Skitter (after leaving, she changes it to Weaver. "Khepri" is what she is known as at the end of the story at her most powerful)

Shards are basically the living powers. They drive parahumans towards conflict and they do have effects on the mentality of the parahuman.

The Undersiders are one of the gangs that work for Coil, but the eventually betray him and Taylor kills him.

They are led by Grue (though Taylor takes over for a while). Grue creates darkness only he can see through and which muffles the senses of others. After his second Trigger, he can also use it to borrow the powers of others, weakening their power and allowing him to used some of it. Taylor falls for Grue, but he moves on after she leaves the Undersiders. He is considered a Shaker and later also a Trump (probably deserves a low Stranger rating too).

Rachel is a member of the Undersiders. Her Cape name is Bitch, but the PRT calls her Hellhound. She transforms dogs by making them enlarge and grow masses of misshapen muscle, making them strong and tough. Her mind is badly affected by her Shard, making her struggle to understand people, though she understands dogs well and can train them well. Looking after dogs is her main motivation. Upon Triggering, she accidentally turned a dog into a monster that ate her abusive foster family. She is considered a Master (but should probably actually be considered a Trump).

Probably one of the most important members of the Undersiders is Lisa (multiple aliases) (Cape name: Tattletale). She is basically a souped up version of the Sherlock-like detectives from crime novels who know everything about you from a look. The more Tattletale studies, thinks about or examines a subject, the more random facts she learns about it. However, she can accidentally get fake facts if she's not careful and can spiral into learning endless trivia instead of focusing on what's happening around her. Tattletale is a massive show of who is obsessed with trying to prove she's the smartest person in the room. She is a Thinker.

The member of The Undersiders with the worst rap sheet is Regent. He initially pretends to Taylor that all he can do is induce clumsiness and such. Randomly moving a bodypart of an enemy slightly off. He's actually far more terrifying. Upon studying someone for long enough, he can gain absolute control of their body (their mind is aware and cannot stop him). He can use their senses to acquire information and can order them to perform practiced reflexes, such as entering a password they know but he doesn't. He is capable of forcing suicide. He used to control people for sex and would force them to do drugs so he could experience the drugs without damaging his own body. He is one of the children of one of the most infamous villains in the setting, Heartbreaker. Heartbreaker uses his powers to make women love him, join his harem, help him breed an army and make them willing to die for him. He trains his children by setting them against one another. One of Regent's sisters, Cherish, joins the Slaughterhouse Nine. She can sense emotions on a citywide scale and can control the emotions of others, which she uses to, for example, make parents enjoy torturing their children to death and then realise what they've done afterwards. She decides to try recruit Regent to the Slaughterhouse Nine entirely because of her hate for him. Regent is a Master.

Aisha (Cape name; Imp) is Grue's sister and joins later in the story.Unless she decides otherwise, know one can see her or realise she exists at all, and they forget her existence. Electronic equipment foils this and she can't stop it from affecting her allies as well. She is a Stranger.
