It seems we can still fail important OPS checks even when on successful missions:
And Glass is the one whose failure state is the least dangerous, with MG seemingly the most. I'm not going to skimp out on something important simply because it's supposed to be easy when Break Glass going wrong is much less severe.

A question/thought I had.
We know that Leviathan and The Hand aren't... human, for lack of a better term.
And Valkyrie is human, just the strongest psychic in the world.
But do you think Lantern is human or not? She seems to have a more human personality and way of speaking than Hand does, given that she doesn't need a Speaker, but there's also all the imagery from Mona's first sighting of her.

I don't actually think it is less severe though? By working to guarantee Glass, which is genuinely much more likely for us to fail based on the numbers, we're able to get John up and running this turn. This boosts us up to 8 AP with another hero for the next turn and John is able to actually participate in his mission properly. Additionally, I'm expecting that the gift to Leizi is something that is worth quite a bit in some way and getting that sooner rather than later is a good thing. The shield gens and healing symbiote are very nice considering Hero Worship is a prominent hard mission for us and those give us extra outs.
But above all else, we are still in a massive AP hole, we are working to climb out of it but losing 2 AP now is very brutal. Since a lot of our missions just unlock more missions which cost more AP and we need to do due to their rewards. The failure state here is much easier to reach and in many ways is nearly as large of a setback for us!

Hypothetical rewards we could have gotten is very different from weathering enemy action. We will not be in a worse position than this turn if Glass is unsuccessful, while I cannot say the same thing for Magical Girls. Wolong's OPS check can be the difference between understanding the Frozen Throne or not, no way I'm not going to put him on this mission. Even if you think the checks are easier.

No? That's just outright incorrect. Having an extra hero for one more AP next turn is not a hypothetical. Having John able to do his personal mission storyline is not a hypothetical. Not being two AP in the hole from a failed mission when we are already struggling with AP is not a hypothetical. Having a healing symbiote and more shield generators for Hero Worship or Grand Theft Person is not a hypothetical and arguably very wanted due to how Third Person's power seems to work! The AP and safety nets we lose from failing Break Glass are much worse than many other options loss wise currently.
Also frankly, Wolong has been studying the Frozen Throne already. They've been looking into it for the potential prison option there. The idea that the OPS 2 mission is going to give Wolong the key to figuring out the Frozen Throne that he wouldn't have gotten from the prior attempts to figure it out is just odd to me. The storyline is at least 2 total missions, if that is a realistic chance to get information wise I would fully expect it to be from the next mission as a high OPs one.

Is it common courtesy for heroes who are new on the scene to describe or explain their powersets, unless they have a good reason not to (Harper keeping her scaling mark a secret weapon, eg)? So civilians know what to expect from them and know how to act around them, that they can trust going to X person because they make barriers and so will protect them, to stand behind the long-ranged blaster, etc.
I was kind of idly hoping that Seraph, Starlight Knight, and White Hawk at least gave a quick "here's what we can do" talk so we know what they do. The first two we have an idea (Seraph glows, has wings, and can send messages into other's minds, Starlight Knight makes constructs out of light), but White Hawk is a blank.

We were there. Where were you Crusade??? I believe this is a necessary mission even without the new recruits thanks to Crusade.
After we get heroic John which means we must give John Ambrosia this turn. Only way to get Ambrosia this turn is with Break Glass with Black Swan.
Can't afford to let such a PR threat to continue any longer thanks to Crusade. Also continues Leizi Questline. Also I want Noelle for EB.
Even though taking the mission remains possible until the last turn until expiration, the narrative continues forward regardless for every turn we do nothing. If we wait until next turn the clones will surely be even smarter with more possible metas and there is a chance that Belle will have died.
Necessary for Ambrosia. Ambrosia necessary for Project Prometheus to empower John in time for Demon Flamez. Also might end up needing symbiote and shields asap. Need Black Swan to succeed.

I must strongly advise against voting for eTraction. We are in a severe public relations battle against Crusade, Dr. Ibis is the least charismatic person in the company and should be kept well away from national television. I know we all love him, but I don't think the public will. Remember when he insulted Valiant Silver herself in his first meeting with LL??
I'm not sure I would trust HIT 5 requirement to indicate that there won't be hard checks. To be sure there is a rough correlation, but OPS checks have appeared in missions with no OPS requirements. And Four Seasons, the mission where Scarlet Maturity showed up for battle, was rated with only a HIT 6 requirement. To be fair that probably goes for any story mission and is dependent on our choices during the mission.
Though by that same correlation, I do agree that a OPS 10 requirement indicates that there will likely be hard OPS checks. And losing the Ambrosia loses us vital tempo in the game of AP. On the other hand, if we lose a hero due to inadequate combat support that will also set our AP back a lot.
Another thing, do the mechanics require us to actually take Gabriel explicitly? I thought he can contribute as long as any New Dawn members are there:
3 ways I've seen players interpret the mechanic:
1) Wolong can use his power on any mission where any New Dawn members are participating
2) Wolong can use his power for New Dawn specific missions, and other missions if he is explicitly chosen for them
3) Wolong can use his power only for New Dawn specific missions (basically the Wonderland questline right now)
Trying to balance these concerns, I will do approval voting like this:

And a new plan, this time covering Hero Worship. The stat requirements and narrative both indicate an overall tougher mission than either Break Glass or Mahou Shoujo, and succeeding is important to get a high tolerance candidate for Moon River. The New Dawn clones are concerning but taking interpretation 1) for Wolong his power for spotting clones and the extra backup are too good to pass up.

I disagree. These are just lost opportunities and hurt, but again, It's not enemy action. We have someone using JU's name for their own ends to accomplish god knows what, that's way more important than lost tempo, even if the later is important.
Besides, it's not like Glass is guaranteed to fail in my plan, far from that I think. Magical Girls is just more important.
I guarantee he hasn't seen this:
It's literally described as "information that would shake Horizon to its core" if it wasn't being suppressed. So I really, really want Wolong on this.

Honestly, this is a valid argument for arguing Magical Girls over Break the Glass and is a plan I'd heavily prefer to the other ones so I'm down to approval vote this. Like, the main argument to put ND on Mahou Shoujo imo, is if worried about Crusade potentially showing up while still covering Black Swan being sent out to patrol.
But even then it should only be paired with Hero Worship due to starting the progress chain and concerns about Belle surviving to make it to us, hence This means war! being the main other plan that fits well imo.
