Note: the story is in my signature already.

One year and a half ago, I had an idea of a Akame Ga Kiru & GTA V crossover (The cast came to the AGK world via pseudo-stargate before the game starts).
And then it became a story of Michael trying to shoot movies in the AGK world.
And then it became a story of Michael trying to build planes in the AGK world.
And then I decided to rationalize the AGK world.
And then I merged Franklin, Lamar and Sheele into a fresh protagonist.
And then I ditched most settings in either of the sources...

Project Flying Heck

World:

A once great civilization, Pan-Human Alliance and Sovereign Empire settled back on Earth and underwent a self-mummification lasting thousands of years. PHASE, as it is commonly known, maintains its rule and an illusion of prosperity through artifacts it created or recovered in its glorious past. These artifacts are named Evidences, and can vary in size, shape and function. There are only two things they have in common: Their inner workings cannot be explained or replicated - and they have great potential as weapons.

When the main plot takes place, various independent countries have already seceded from PHASE, along with a liberation movement forming inside. All the factions are on a race to gain the most Evidences.

The general population of PHASE lives in alternating boredom and violence, with at best 20th century living standards and education level, plus very little regard for human life. PHASE and its competitors are all completely locked on Earth - heavier than air flight is impossible without using Evidences.

Until now.

Glossary of Factions, Technology and Weapons:
PHASE - Pan-Human race Alliance and Sovereign Entente, the ruling body with the most landmass and population on Earth and the only legal one. Population at 2 billions, but half of them are concentrated in Prime City. PHASE once was the central monarchic government of the human race, but millenniums after its return to Earth, it lost its spacefaring capability and connection to civilization outside of Earth during an orbit-wide civil war. Since then, it has been loosing territory on Earth incrementally to the three major factions as well.
  • Entente Fief Congress - Government branch in charge of the various fief lords PHASE set up on Earth.
  • Department of the Interior - Government branch in charge of civilian affairs.
  • Department of Strategy - Government branch in charge of the PHASE army. However, personal armies also are under the command of the Fief Congress.
  • Department of Progress - Government branch used to be in charge of PHASE's civilian space affairs and relations with non-human civilizations. Currently re-purposed to maintain and salvage pre-civil war industry.

AntiPHASE Liberation Movement - A movement to overthrow PHASE; it successfully controls substantial territory both inside and outside of PHASE's borders, but it is also competing with independence movements and anarchic factions for peoples' support. The APLM has an industrial economy while Great Ouros and World Socialist Union do not.

Great Ouros - An independent country formed by leftover PHASE space army ground staff after the civil war, not recognized by PHASE. The relatively small, pastoral population uses former PHASE relics to fuel their war with PHASE. The attrition is pushing them towards taking a side between the other two factions as potential allies.

World Socialist Union - Independent regions and colonies that separated from PHASE; very largely decentralized and anarchic, but has popular support from its people. The socialists control a continent outside of PHASE's reach. Although the World Socialist Union has no solid government, its standing militia regularly infiltrates both PHASE and AntiPHASE territories, creating a perpetual but low heat three way war.

Prime City - The ground zero where PHASE first landed back on Earth and set down a new habitat. Population at 1 billion, largely unable to sustain itself but comparatively well supplied by agriculture from other parts of PHASE.

Mech/Meck - Prefix meaning mechanical. Slang used by people without professional understanding of machinery.

Mechgun - Automatic firearms. The blueprints for their production had been passed down through PHASE's entire history for civilians and planetary settlers' defense; some actually are rediscovered through time space manipulations before the civil war. Due to technology deterioration, mechguns are immensely widespread compared to Plasrad weapons. Two main producers of civilian mechguns are Lightmatter Inc and United Food Machinery, though government arsenals are also open to buyers and many private producers exist.
  • RK95LM "Automat" - A very popular Lightmatter mechgun model. The one of the standard infantry weapos of the PHASE army, and come in many calibers and configurations. The design actually was based on the Earth 20st century Valmet Rk 95 and Zastava M90 available during Lightmatter's conception in the 2000s. Used by Muir's soldiers in Episode 3.
  • Statimat - A 7.63x39 mechgun developed from the automat with an improved repeating mechanism. Not produced by Lightmatter but still popular among soldiers in harsh environments. Resembles the Chinese Type 81 and its Myanmar offspring, M20.
  • Heavymat/Battlemat - A 7.62x51 version of the Statimat, configured for long range combat and sniping but still fully automatic. Resembles the Chinese CS/LR-14. Used by Mandevill and Noah in Episode 1; Seth's personal guards are all armed with the Battlemat.
  • M53LM - A belt-fed machine gun produced by Lightmatter for the PHASE army. Based on the 20th century Zastava M53 or MG42. Used by Muir's soldiers in Episode 3.
  • K-END/"Bootleg Pistol" A fully automatic capable pistol produced by Lightmatter but widely pirated by criminals and civilians. Lightmatter back in 21st century did receive the design from a home-made weapon enthusiast.
  • UFM556-1 "GI"- A mechgun mainly for the civilian market produced by UFM, but also used by many army units and even inside the World Socialist Union's militia. Often fitted with an under barrel shotgun for urban combat. Based on the Colt M653.
  • UFM44 - A UFM-made evolver considered to be a mechgun by many people. Can be fire many types of ammo with different barrel pressure and payload. Appears on Cactus in Episode 3 and Seth in Episode 4.

Meckhod - Powered vehicle, both wheeled and tracked.
  • Skeletruck - A coverless, cabinless low cost all terrain flatbed truck for transporting under 50 tons of dry material. Used by Mandevill and Noah in Episode 1.
  • Armor Hauler - A tractor engine truck that can attach multiple flatbed and container segments, widely used by the PHASE army to transport strategic resources. Resembles the Scammel S24 left steering custom.
  • U-1/3/5 Marsupial - The primary tracked military vehicle used in the PHASE army since PHASE's formation. Heavily armored and easy to maintain, they perform any role between troop carrier and artillery platform. Used by Muir's soldiers and the Hypeniacs in Episode 3.
  • Y-1001 Barge Wolf - A half track newly developed to compete with the Marsupial.
  • U-3001 Rubilovka - One of PHASE's standard battle tanks, mostly used as a tank and bunker destroyer. Resembles a 20th century T-80 but has twin cannons.
  • U-3002 Goliath - A PHASE tank that shares the same chassis with the U-3001, mostly used together with infantry and position defense.

Plasrad gun- Plasma radiation weapon, a system to shoot a linear plasma projectile at very high energy and velocity. The projectile will penetrate all obstacles in front of the gun's pre-programmed target and then explode. Once widely used by PHASE soldiers in various scales from personal to anti-planet, now their production has stopped in all across Earth except a few facilities controlled by PHASE's Department of Strategy. Two can be connected to Arkhangelski's powered armor.

Omni-link - The standard PHASE communication format; all signals are self-decoding programs that contain synchronized audio, visual and holographic channels, which can be picked up by any terminal even if the device can only output one of the channels. Civilian and commercial use is largely deteriorated, while governmental use is usually transmitted through a hard network.

Biowave - Omni-link signals that can be decoded by humans under its radiation. Can be understood as thoughts, images, vocals or memories.

Lightmatter - The oldest traceable and most integral business to PHASE since the Entente's formation. Currently Lightmatter is the sole producer of electric energy on Earth, and leading producer on mechguns, meckhods and wireless omni-link devices; this situation maintains peace to a degree between PHASE, the Great Ouros and the socialists.

United Food Machinery -A food processing machinery producers' cartel that standardized many industrial systems in PHASE. Its history is not traceable, but its products are all encompassing to life in PHASE and the World Socialist Union.

Evidence - Physical evidence of humanity's past glory before the loss of the PHASE space army. Relics of technology that cannot be replaced or replicated. Due to understandable reasons, most Evidences are weaponized. Their names are either descriptions or folk names.
  • Instant Citadel - An automated building machine that can shape applicable terrain into cement structures programmed in its database. Used in constructing the Bloodletters' citadel. There are more than one in existence.
  • Vertical Hygiene and Integrity device/Man-washer - An automated human repair machine for severe injuries. There are more than one in existence.
  • Disjunction - A 2-dimensional plane rift generator retooled into a katana. Can be used to separate anything from anything else; the artificial plane is stored inside the blade but can be released into any object in contact with the blade, to completely cut through the object immediately. Owned by Belle.
  • Overjoyed One/Electric Charge Launching Device - An extremely old model omni-link antenna retooled and jury-rigged to a loudspeaker, resulting in a weapon that can project superheated linear electric charge with velocity and heat comparable to anti-vehicle plasma radiation. Owned by Caitrion.
  • Planetary Infiltration Suit Custom - A customized power armor; all power armors are considered Evidence as a whole. Owned by Arkhan who stole it from his PHASE military unit.

Weapon of Concept - A weapon that operates on or is regulated by the thoughts of its owner. Posses physics-altering power developed by ancient PHASE for non military or non direct combat purposes.
  • Sonata - A full orchestra set made of Light Matter that can be channeled into reality with the correct mind projection. Some instruments may arrive broken or pre-programmed according to the owner. Owned by Cactus who clearly does not have full control over them.
  • Evidence of Murder - Two swords that can guide themselves to the owner's intended target if the owner can generate a thought of attacking the enemy ahead of the target. Technologies behind unknown. Used by Whitehead in Episode 1's flash forward.
  • Evidence of the Good Man - One of the causes for Seth's escape from the PHASE army.
  • Supernova of Catharsis - Biowave sending devices embedded into gloves. The right hand one by default causes its target to lose all perception of written language; the left causes erectile dysfunction. Both can by fine tuned. Owned by Seth.

Light Matter/The Unknown - A substance that can be molded into all other substances filling the same volume, or vacuum, or even distortions of time, under manipulation. Employed by Cactus in creating pianos.
