To the fairest lady in all the land whose beauty has no equal in the heavens,
When I think back, I fondly remember our time together. Even though our time together was short. I will never forget-----------=-0o-0kompefijpwjg

Your father, the great Iron King of Alken, quite literally barged into your room and broke a hole clean through the wall "Come now I did not raise you to be a women who wrote poetry all day. You've been moping for quite a bit of time, and I have just the thing to cheer you up."
You try to weakly respond "Dear father, I was hardly writing poetry--"
Your father promptly cuts you off and continues his speech "I have just gotten you a fiance, the mostly lovely lady in all the land, MYTHA." A lady dress in a proper white dress with very long black hair appeared beside your father's massive figure.
You personally note that she is very beautiful, but alas, your heart belongs to another. You move to turn down this offer "Father, I thank you for this, bu----"
"No need to thank me. I am sure you two will be the most happy couple in the land. Also, I figure now would be a GREAT time to let you get out of the capitol for a bit and give you some leadership experience." Ah of course, your father completely ignores you. His symbol is quite fittingly the Minotaur.
WAIT, leadership experience this sounds important. You should be paying attention to this. "I am putting you in charge of HARVEST VALLEY. Mytha and you will manage the rare mineral mining operations. One day, you are going to take over might as well begin your training now."
You make a final attempt to dissuade your father. "Father, I think this conversation is a tad one-sided. I, personally, ---"
"No, need to worry about going at this alone. You have your lovely fiance. Also I am lending you one of my most trusted friends."

Martial: Military might is always important. Especially against invaders and undead hollowed hordes.
Diplomacy: It is sometimes good to play nice with the other realms; however, your father insists that this is useless and smashing their face in works just as well
Stewardship: Construction. Build stuff and manage your realm.
Intrigue: Countries have secrets. Protect your own secret and steal theirs. Also slip love letters to the Princess of Venn
Soul Knowledge: The soul is a marvelous thing. It has given us marvelous things like the ironclad soldiers. However it is also linked toward the undead Curse. Perhaps if you learned more you could find a cure.
Lore: The history of the world. Many great Kingdoms have risen and fallen maybe you could learn something from them.
OOC: So I wanted to try my hand at running a quest. This is my first quest, so I open to suggestions. As for Dark Souls lore wise, I am open to interpretation. Some things to know, The Old Iron King currently does not have Gwyn's soul. I may fudge the timeline to add more kingdoms to deal with. Feel free to ask questions and have fun.
Also, you are in charge of managing the happiness in your country. An unsatisfied population is prone to revolt.
[6/10] Commoner's Opinon
[7/10] Noble's Opinon
Also, you need to ensure that Undead do not pull together to create a zombie apocalypse. Yeah.........

Sorry, if that was unclear in the beginning, you are in love with the princess of Venn. In Dark Souls 2 lore, the prince of Alken and the Princess of Venn fell in love with each other and created marionettes and bells to represent their forbidden love.
From the Bell Keeper's Set: "An old armor that is oddly comfortable. Belonged to a Bell Keeper. To this day, the forbidden love of Prince of Alken and the Princess of Venn manipulates these marionettes. Surely they never imagined that their dolls would outlast their own kingdoms."
The Kingdoms of Alken and Venn would never let this sort of love happen due to a variety of reasons. The first being their absolute hatred of each other.
From the Ring of Blades: The kingdoms of Alken and Venn long ago flourished on these very grounds. They were both founded by the same man, but were reduced to rivalry and spite."
The foundered by the same man is actually a miss-translation. In the original, it was came from the same land. One of the reasons for this rivalry could easily be.
From the Scorching Iron Scepter: When the Old Iron King wrested this dilapidated region from kingdom of Venn, the act required all the resources
the enfeebled lord could muster.
Yes, conquering another persons land tends to make them very angry.
Of course, you are the Prince of Alken in this quest, so you are free to do whatever you want. You could try and fall in love with Mytha and ignore the princess of Venn. You could also run-away and say "Screw you dad. I FOLLOW TRUE LOVE" Maybe, you will become the true monarch and find a cure to the undead curse; although, that would take a lot of work and R&D.
On another note, I am really surprised people are choosing Eygil over Alonne. Not to dissuade you guys or anything just surprised.

I just think that keeping Alonne near the Iron king is a good idea, also is my write in accepted? With the Prince actually being a girl who was raised as a son?

Thaaaat said, current builds kind of suffer from being crippled, Diplomacy-wise; all of them. Or, like, one of them, since that is the same build. Anyway!
It seems, Prince can do smashing reasonably well, by sword or Soul Arrow alike, and neither is he totally oblivious in matters of Lore and Intrigue - but with that diplomacy I wouldn't let him talk with anyone who is actually important.
Neither of two basic Advisers cover that weakness. That's really bad.

Neither retainer out of two offered covers that weakness.
