    PERSONA QUEST​

    You were in your bedroom when you received this strange mail in your smartphone. Taking a seat on your bed, you look at the subject of the mail sent to you. The subject of the mail is "Velvet Invitation".

    You furrow your brow. Somehow, the mail was sent anonymously. The name of the sender isn't displayed. Curiously, you open the mail.

    The moment you open the mail, you feel a sudden feeling of vertigo washing over you. It feels like free-falling, even though you are currently seated on your bed. Your vision darken momentarily, and the moment you regain your senses, you are no longer in your bedroom.

    Instead, you are in a place which resembles a courtroom. You are somehow sitting in a defendant's cage. You look around you and find no one, except two individuals.

    One is a young woman clad in velvet blue dress. Her platinum blonde hair is neatly tied into a bun, and she seems to be wearing a pair of glasses. She seems to be holding a large, thick-covered tome. Her eyes are closed when you see her. When she opens them and looks at you with them, you find out that her eyes are unnaturally golden. She is standing next to another individual who is sitting at the judge's bench.

    The other individual is a bizarre-looking old man, whose nose is comically long. There is an imp-like smile adorning his feature, and when he sets his eyes upon you, she clasps his gloved hands together and speaks with such a silky, sophisticated tone.



    "Welcome, to the Velvet Room..."

    Velvet Room. That's the name of this place, which is fitting, considering that the room is entirely velvet blue in color.

    "There is no need to be worried. As of right now, you are currently in this room, and at the same time, you are still in your own room. It is made possible because this place exists between dream and reality, mind and matter..." The bizarre-looking old gentleman continues. "This is a place only those who are bound by a contract may enter..."

    You ask his name.

    "Ah, where are my manners? My name is Igor, and I'm delighted to make your acquaintance." The old man says, introducing himself as Igor. "As you may recall, you receive an invitation to enter this place, and our meeting today marks the beginning of the things to come in the future..." Igor says before he chuckles.

    You are unsure what to think of your current situation. You are somehow transported into someplace called the Velvet Room by a mysterious old man named Igor. This happens because of the mail you receive earlier. Speaking of the mail, you realize that you are still holding your smartphone in your hand.

    "Now then, why don't you introduce yourself?" Igor says before your smartphone lets out a beeping sound. It seems that you have received another mail. You open it, and an unknown application is automatically installed into your smartphone. In less than two seconds, the installation is done. You tap on the application, which is named 'VelvetApp', and a prompt pops out. It asks you to enter your name as well as your gender.

    "Once you submit your name, you will be automatically bound by the contract of this room. The only thing that you have to do in order to abide the contract is to take responsibility for your actions," Igor informs you. "Now, please do go on. I apologize for stopping you."

    It seems that you have no choice but to enter your name and your gender.

    After you are done, you submit them, and your smartphone lets out a beep. Igor, from his bench, shows you a satisfied smile.

    "By the way, I almost forgot to introduce my assistant," Igor says before he gestures at the young woman beside him. "This is Agatha, and she is the resident of this place, just like myself."

    Upon being introduced, Agatha pushes her glasses up and speaks in polite tone, "I shall be by your side during your trial..."

    Then, Igor looks at you again. "We will meet again someday. When that time comes, you will be here of your own accord. Farewell..."

    After Igor says that, your vision darkens. When you come back to your senses, you are already in your bedroom. Blinking, you look at the screen of your smartphone. It feels like a dream, but the application that you got earlier, VelvetApp, is still there. You try tapping it, but for some reason, you are unable to open it.

    Oh well, that's a thing to think about in the future. Now, you need to focus on the fact that you will be transferring to a new high school. Tomorrow, you will be there as a transfer student. You can't help but feel the anticipation.

The votes will be counted by plans, so please don't worry about our character getting an unsuitable name. And please enter the name correctly (family name first, own name second).     Installing shoddy applications that don't even work right? Not the best first impression you got ther, Igor.

    Man, we should have bought an iPhone. Apple would never have verified this malware!
