At first, he tries to hold onto to every minor detail he hears within his own memory, and when it becomes too much... he starts to write it all down. The more he learns, the more he writes. Eventually, the nature of his writing becomes more... personal.

How they carry themselves; the tone of their voice; what is or is not taboo; the expressions and innuendos and idioms they all use. He starts to wonder if it's really all that hard to fit in. It's just a matter of copying what they're doing, right?
