If we build a mercenary company and retain them though, they will spend at least one main war mission for our war. Considering that we only stalemated the Hat last turn, that extra war mission could be what changes this from a war that will last until one side gets a critical to one that we can win now.

I also wouldn't be surprised if our Heroic Martial character would be the one forming the mercenary company, which (aside from slowing the marginalization of women) would allow us to utilize her skills in the war this turn.
That would be nice, but people are actually voting to send them to the HK.

Actually now that I think about it, No it wouldn't be socialism at all. I was looking for Mixed Economy, Socialism is the opposite of pure capitalism

Man, mixed economy would be the best, the Land Stays on the hand of the State, ie, communal and public and we give people freeDOOM to pursue their own endeavors. Private Land land ownership open foreign powers and traitors the possibility of hostile takeovers.

Nope. Its better than that. Right now we are only going to throw 2 main war missions at the enemy. One for ourselves, one from our March. If we are lucky, the March might throw in a third one instead of further beefing up its military/defenses.

Or we could just do a Double War Mission. Less complicated.

Pure Capitalism leads to abusive practices. That's not something we want either.

[X][Secondary] Change Policy - Expansion

We desperately need forests seeing as our mining, glassmaking, and shipbuilding all use it. With this new privatized mining expeditions our forests could be used before they are sustainable, which is bad, mmkay. (I really don't like this new trait, I live in Colorado and those old gold rush mines cause nothing but trouble when they leak. This new push to privatize mines is not a good move, IMO.)

Distribution of Land means allowing interested parties to have more local influence in exchange for increased taxes.
Great. This is terrible.

Edit: well, it could be worse, but it stinks like feudalism for all that it is extremely useful. Because a combo of main enforce justice and main distribution is like an anti corruption hammer. Also, de facto hereditary is a messy business and becomes de jure pretty fucking quickly.

Yes! To rid ourselves of our bleeding Hathatyn enemies so that we may show them the true path of Communism!
Random death Squads? Strict internal borders? Random imprisonment in hell holes designed to radiate misery? A farcically massive class divide that you can get shot for acknowledging the existence of in public? Constant shortages of random basic supplies as the nepotistically sourced politic minion screwed up again?
Perhaps if you read what was said you wouldn't be so confused. The regular pots were working if for a limited time. All they had to do was replace them regularly. Seeing as we already had the practice of creating pots to poop in and throw away entirely, that isn't much a problem.
No I read what you said and know about what your referring to... I just also know if I found out my government did a pet project for his daughter that gained profit to bribe the voters into shutting up instead of funding the counter for a related problem that only random killed people 'sometimes' I'd lose faith in their leadership skills. If I found out anyway.
Also, socialism. Socialism is the word you're looking for.
No, Socialism is where the people in charge sacrifice the resources of those not in their immediate group to bribe people into voting for them. Socialism is unsustainable as a design feature as eventually you run out of other people's stuff to bribe voters with.

In these times, "giving landowners freedom to pursue their own endeavours" means screwing over the peasants, hereditary, and messing up the land long-term for short-term gains.

That why i put DOOM there

anyway @Academia Nut what would this combo of [Main] do?
Distribute Land - By reworking the distribution of land, the king can improve tax income and reduce pressures administrative overhead
*S: -1 Centralization, +1 Wealth
*M: -2 Centralization, +3 Wealth

Enforce Justice - The king is a servant of the law, and he can use the army to remind people of that fact [GJ]
* S: 1 Stability, +1-3 Centralization
* M: 1 to 2 Stability, +2-3 Centralization
* the more settlements with walls outside of the capital, particularly large walls, the less effective this action is
*Max Stability: Legitimacy

Let's end this war.

Land distribution and Wildcat prospecting seem to run counter to the 'let's take it slow and don't damage nature' approach.

But the Ymaryn are currently (and have always been) communist and we have none of that.

I'm hoping that expansion will take care of that for us-if nothing else then it'll grab us two new provinces and avoid any new mine possibilities this turn.

Which is why I wanted a mix not pure capitalism, its just I was refuting you saying it was socialism since I was asking for a mix
Socialism is a mix though...

Not my fault, you didn't specify further. >w>

Great. This is terrible.
It would not be automatic. We would have the choice of taking it or not.

It was a joke pic to a joke response, calm down.

No, that is called paranoia and sensational conspiracy theories.

Besides he was talking about a mix of Capitalism and Communism. That was merely one of them.
