So as I said I'd be happy to run this if there was interest, so @horngeek, @Chloe Sullivan, @Omicron, @The Imperator, @tzar1990, and @Scia here we are. And welcome anybody who wishes to spectate. Wrath of the Righteous is an Adventure Path by Paizo, unique in that it's the only one built around their Mythic Adventures ruleset. There are elements of the game you're used to, but in Wrath your Fighter isn't just an elite soldier he is Achilles, in Wrath you are not merely a Wizard you are Morgan le Fay, in Wrath you don't play a Bard you play Taliesin.

In addition to the Mythic Rules, Wrath of the Righteous incorporates the Downtime and Mass Combat systems found in the Ultimate Campaign Guide, so feel free to peruse those.

I implore everyone to read the Wrath of the Righteous Player's Guide. It's totally free.

Character creation will use any Paizo published material or DSP material, ability scores are going to use an Epic Fantasy 25-point buy, and you get two background traits (three if you take a drawback) one of which must be chosen from the list available. I'd also like at least some type of character biography with the traits you took taken into account, please remember to read the descriptions of those campaign traits as they have huge plot significance. Other suggested reading are The Demon Hunter's Handbook for everyone, Champions of Purity for everyone but most especially religious characters , and Knights of the Inner Sea for those of you that want to play Paladin or Cavalier or martial Cleric.

The only class I'd shy away from is Gunslinger, I've never seen a Pathfinder AP with gear for a Gunslinger included, I believe that's intentional because firearms are new to the world of Golarion and the only place that produces them in any number are the Gunworks of Alkenstar. If you check this map you'll see the Worldwound is that desert to the far North and Alkenstar City is in that tiny little gray stain on the East coast of the landmass way to the South. :V

If any of you have any further questions of me feel free to PM me and I'll leave it to you to take a few days to read the Player's Guide and come up with your character concepts, so there's no rush.

Edit: Also because I just remembered it, the Background Skills system from Pathfinder Unchained are totally open for use.

Any particular restrictions on race?

EDIT: To be clear, my plan is Aasimar, I'm not planning to go completely out-of-theme here.

Any particular restrictions on race?
No particular restrictions outside of Paizo published materials, the Crusaders will take whomever they can get as they're fighting a neverending war against the endless hordes of the Abyss, even Tieflings fight side-by-side with Aasimars. The majority of Crusaders are however humans from Mendev, though, Dwarves who worship Torag follow just behind them in number. The only thing I ask is that your race fit the background you choose for it.

Right then, Aasimar Arcarnist it is!

...why, yes, I frequently pair races with classes that might not be typical for them, Elven Rangers/Druids aside. :V

I will gladly spectate if slots are already filled up. (D&D 5e is what I have most experience in. Plus, I probably wouldn't be able to dedicate much time until April timeframe...)

EDIT: will create a backup character FOR KNOWLEDGE!

I will also make a character for a backup. I have been meaning to look at pathfinder stuff anyway.

Hmm, soulknife or psion?

Awesome. I like to fill roles rather than chart my own path, so I'll make a character once the others decide their general role in the party.

...this is why I love Hero Lab, I've already got the mechanics of my hero worked out. Just need to get a decent backstory worked out, which I'll likely do tomorrow.

Can you put me in the queue in case someone drops out? '
Absolutely.

Just wanted to repeat since many may not notice the edit, this is Wrath and I know what I'm getting into, please feel free to make use of the backgrounds skill system from Pathfinder unchained. It basically gives you free skills that are available for use in downtime and aren't really useful on adventures.

Awesome!

@Wolf Ritter , what is the limit on race points for this? I presume Svirfneblin, Drow Nobles, Centaurs, and Gargoyles are out, what race is too powerful? I usually play human, but I figure I would branch out for this campaign.

What kind of characters is everyone else planning on playing? @Chloe Sullivan , you're playing a psychic class, correct? And @horngeek you are playing an Arcanist? So it's looking like we may need some melee characters and a skill monkey for a rounded out party.

So!

I'm thinking of making a Warlord. Focusing, I think, on that Scarlet Throne discipline.

Possibly with the Silver Crane discipline from joining the Empyreal Knights, if that's possible.

I kind of want her to be a halfling with a rapier and a haughty aristocratic demeanor, though the idea of Brienne of Tarth with a huge spear also appeals.

Like I said in the other thread, I'd be interested. I can fudge lack-of-knowledge!

There's also Numerian firearms (including some SF ones), and that's right next door, map wise. Though yea, you won't find many at the wound.

I was thinking either a arcane caster , or a servant of the divine, most likely Sarenrae, ,but I am still fiddling with that part.

I would also be open to psionic or a homebrew that would make someone like the kineticist work (yeah I know that might even be beyond the power of a mythic character)

I actually wanted to play an Akashic Class, but I can roll a Tactician if other people prefer to keep the Facebeating roles.

Tacticians are awesomefun and actually do live up to their name (a rarity in D&D based products)

And now I have to go borrow more PF books from my friend, because all I actually have is Akashic Mysteries (which I own) and the Ultimate Psionics I already nicked from him.

Which books do i need to rob from friends, and which are in the SRD?

All the main books are on the SRD and d20.pfsrd. The small supplements can be found on Archives of Nethys. Between all that, everything but the newest books are all online, legally.

Next week the Ultimate Intrigue Guide comes out, so I'll probably build a class from that. Super Sentai/magical girl, Hulk, Zorro, etc. archetypes are all coming out, and they sound hilariously awesome.

Also, @Wolf Ritter I will be AFK from March 27 to April 7, just a heads up.

I'm thinking of going Summoner, probably with the Master Summoner archetype - after all, the best meat-shields are the kind who will die for the party and come back the next round anyways. Backstory would be that I was training to be a wizard, but got frustrated at the lack of progress in my arcane knowledge and wound up making a suspicious covenant with a spooky outsider (my eidolon). Of course, given the nature of the world, my master's reaction to "hey, I just made a suspicious covenant and now I'm better at summoning magic!" was less positive and more "holy fuck you idiot get out of my tower!" I'd make my eidolon skill-focused, a being who seems ominous and potentially dangerous, but is legitimately just trying to help me out and have fun, and is rather sorry about the whole "getting me kicked out of my apprenticeship" thing.

Presumably, I came to the worldwound to fight against evil partly as a "well, I have this mysterious riftwarden birthmark, might as well check it out" and partly as a "You think you're so much better than me just because I made a suspicious covenant with an spooky outsider? Well, I'll show you! I'll go fight the ACTUALLY evil outsiders with my spooky friend."
