Panic, See Her...

Yaaaaaa why and how Coil Thought any of that was a remotely good idea especially considering what shemnangans would be required to acquire the data to actually give to Toybox

You need to remember that Thomas Doofenschmirtz ... I mean Calvert ...is absolutely CERTAIN that his power will let him Win Everything. The fact that he was able to grab Amy and get away with it? Proof that he's one step down from A God.

With that attitude, he'll die by tripping on nothing and hitting his head on the corner of the counter in his kitchen. Or something similarly ignoble.

I imagine he grabbed Amy one time in a throwaway as a test, or to see if he could make use of her, and she escaped by making one of her theoretical creations. He died in the throwaway, but got intrigued, and repeatedly kidnaped her over and over in throwaways, torturing her or checking the aftermath of whatever weird shit she made and writing them all down in the saved timeline.

I mean, he may well have done. But his power actually does provide good protection against that. He only has to be careful about that kind of thing in the moments where he's not split.

What his power can't help him with and it's kind of amazing he didn't already run into the ground over is slightly longer term blunders where he doesn't know he's faceplanted until after he's locked things in.

Depends on if Lisa sees $$ or safety in convincing Amy to use her powers for evil/selfishness. Like, if Lisa convinces herself she can stay on Amy's goodside going forward, then she has no reason to run.
Also, if Amelia goes apocalyptic, the only place to hide is a parallel Earth, which Lisa doesn't have access to. She's best positioned to ensure that doesn't happen by helping to keep the girl sane. If she stays, she'll have some control over whether she dies from a Shaper plague over the none she'll have if she flees.

Hmmm, I wonder if QA could arrange with his shard to simulate hundreds, if not thousands, of ways he could die, simultaneously? Maybe work Shaper into the mix, with input from Amelia?

If that doesn't turn him into a gibbering mess, I'm not sure what would.

It may not be in this story, but it should be in a story.
Mauling Snarks almost gets there; after he's captured, Maul persuades his passenger that, since it knows he can't escape, it can put whatever it wants into his "alternate timeline" scenarios, for its own entertainment. The guards never did figure out why he would randomly start screaming…

I loved that it had a thing for pranking, and that Maul convinced it to go with that for the greatest amusement.
