If we do secure Honorius' support, or at least a degree of it, how does that change our circumstances? I guess he'll be schmoozing with potential sponsors and the Game Makers, and with a word here or there to potentially set up an alliance with some of the Careers. That said, part of me just doesn't see the value in siding with the Careers.
4 seemed attractive till we saw their new set up, and we haven't seen 3. That pretty much just leaves 2, hoping that they side against the potential 1 & 4 team up.
Maybe? Is that even particularly likely? Maybe it's too early to tell, but we at least have guarantees that the Tributes will all have some level of competency.
It's hard to even think about potential allies though, just in general. Descending into a cycle of paranoia even before we get to see more of the other Tributes' character and disposition. All made worse by the fact that we can never really trust anyone. How we'll have to pay attention to that knife's edge, juggling struggle and betrayal. It seems easier to try and just go our own way, and try to sneak by, but that basically never works. If we want a chance at winning, we'll need support from Sponsors.
Towards that end, my best thought is that we lean into the 'big brother' angle. Banding together with the younger and weaker kids, and trying to stay together and whatnot.
Eh, truth be told, all of that is a bit much. At the very least, I think we should stick close to the devil we know.
[x] Quietly fill her in with some information about the observations of Honorius and some of your own while the reaping for District 3 plays in the background. (You should pool your knowledge. She might know something else or observe something about the other career tributes that you might miss down the line and you want her to tell you her thoughts as well, especially later on in training. After all, you won't be able to get a read on everyone just by yourself.)
I really don't think this situation is do-or-die, and either way there are options for getting allies and Sponsors even if Honorius decides to be stubborn.
