So, this is my first quest. I have always been wanting to write one for a while now, but I am not sure how. Now, I had started this as a learning process. I hope you guys could guide me.
Maka Albarn, a normal girl in an extraordinary city filled with living weapons, magic, and a something disguising itself as a god. But those days were over now. For some reason unknown to all, she had developed a power in the form of translucent screens and a lair. However, she wished she didn't have her power. With this power, she would be in a constant danger from being hunted down by every meisters and demon weapons in the city. Due to her power being this.

Maka will be able to create souls and by sending them into the lair she wanted to, she would be able to make her minions. The amount of souls she could create is directly related to the Spirit stat. Different amount of souls would require to make minions of different types. The higher the ranking of a type of minion, the more souls it would require to create that type of minion. Currently, she possesses rank nine minions, Skeleton Troopers. Also, all the destroyed minions would be recreated inside the lair after half an hour automatically.
Ah! So we can start with 10 skeletons. Good to know. We can get started on gaining shop points to upgrade stuff right away.
-It will take ten days until we get enough points to upgrade something.
Alright, I've got a ton of questions so get ready:
-So the skeletons create 1 point a day. How do they 'create' these points? Is it just from them existing? Are they doing something like draining energy from the area around them? Or are they going out to hunt and kill people and take their souls or something?
-Can Maka create a new lair at any point, somewhere far away from Death City where the lair would presumably be safer? Can she make multiple lairs if she gets enough points.
-Can she operate her lair from her home or does she need to go to the lair physically to make any changes or upgrades.
-Is there something in her lair that she needs to protect such as a dungeon core?
- Can Maka learn something such as soul protect or some variation based on her new powers to protect herself?
Or does Maka not know the answer to any of these questions?
Points weren't created by skeleton, and instead they were created by lair, it worked like those gold mines in RTS games just that, it was the hybrid between the gold mines and the troop production facilities. No, they don't need to go out to hunt for soul or something, and instead the power itself is the source of those points. I mixed them because I was worried if those would get too convoluted as the time went by.
She didn't need to create a lair away, as her lair was already with her. It was just in another dimension, and was adhered to her "Self".
No, there wasn't and in her lair, her will could be said to be almost absolute.
Yes, she could learn, but traditional methods won't work for her, so she has to buy them from the shop when it levels up and introduce advance goods.
Maka has instinct understanding about her own lair and the stat system, however, she won't know what are points for and how to use them. This is where you guys came in as you guys were the only one who could buy things from the shop, provide advices to Maka, and help her with your knowledges.
Life isn't simple. That was the lesson Maka Albarn had learned over the years. She had learned that lesson as she sat inside the courtroom while her parents argued over who would be the one to have the custody over her. Maka hated it. She hated it all. Why did her father has to cheat? If not for him, none of this would happen. She hated him. She wanted to hate him, but she couldn't, as she knew how much he loved her. However, she still hated him and when the court asked her who she wanted to live with, she chose her mother.
At first, she was thinking of attending the Death Academy, but she had gained her power during this period, and she didn't know if Lord Death would see through this and killed her. She wasn't sure about that, but she didn't want to gamble on this. However, travelling with her mother was also off the list since her mother, as a meister, has the Soul Perception and could see her soul. She really didn't want her mother, of all people, to hunt her down. The best option would be to live alone. Now that Maka had decided on a course of action, the rest was simple enough. The hardest thing would be to convince her mother, but she knew she could do it. She has to.
She slowly approached her mother from behind. Her heart felt a ping of pain as she watched her mother sobbing quietly. Her mother was a fairly tall woman with a light taupe hair and looked to be in her twenty.
"Mom," she started, and her mom straightened and quickly wiped away her face before turning back to her.
"Hello, dear, is there something you want?" her mom asked lightly while flashing her a fragile smile. Maka felt a lump in her stomach for what she was about to do. She didn't want to ask her mother of this. Especially at a time like this where she needed all the support she could, but she had to, something was telling her that things would go wrong if she continued staying with mother. She braced herself and stated her request.
"I want to live by myself," Maka asked. Her mother looked at her with shock in her eyes. Maka felt herself winced as a look of betrayal flashed through her eyes. Maka panicked and nearly retracted her statement. Before she could do that, her mother's eyes were replaced from the pained look to a that of understanding and determination.
"I understand, but I have some rules. Otherwise, all deals are off. Do you understand?" She looked at Maka seriously and said. Maka quickly nodded in relief.
"The first rule is that I will be choosing where you will live, obviously. The second is that you have to eat and sleep at the reasonable time. The third and last rule is that I will be dropping by occasionally to monitor how you were living and if I deemed that you were not responsible enough, the deals are off, and you would be staying with me. Are we clear?" Maka's mother said. She didn't want to allow this, but Maka would need some times alone, and she couldn't just bring her to the dangerous missions. Thankfully, Maka had enough experience living alone, since she and Spirit had to go on emergency missions and had to leave Maka alone. She didn't like this, but this is the life of an executioner of Death Academy.
Maka readily agreed to her mother's requests. Her mother visiting would put a dent in her plan, but she had to agree to it. Now, they only need to search for a suitable place for living, buy furnitures, kitchen wares, learn to cook, and learn some life skills. Maka sighed, now that she thought about it, that was a lot of works. After talking for some more and perfecting their plan, Maka retreated back to her room. She is now ready to experiment with her power.
Maka held out her hand and followed the instinct deep inside her mind. She activated her power, and stared in amazement as a floating bluish white ball of light appeared in her hands. She experimentally sent the soul toward the skeleton cave in her lair. The cave absorbed the ball just in front of her eyes, a skeleton came into existence. The skeleton was humanoid in appearance, and yet it was too clean and white. It was also wearing a crude iron armour and held a sword and shield. Maka was relived that she didn't need to outfit the troopers herself, as that would cost her greatly. Maka slightly winced as knowledge that was never been there appeared in her mind. This skeleton solider was only as strong as a normal human and even then, they weren't known for their flexibility and could be defeated easily if one knew how to.
Maka decided that it was enough as they still could grow as the cave evolve and there were still many troops left to unlock. She then, created an additional 9 souls and sent all of them into the cave which produced 9 more skeleton soldiers. Satisfied, Maka nodded to herself. Now, if only she could figure out how to disguise herself. Her power seemed to noticed her wish and responded. A new item was updated.
