The Legend of Wine
Once upon a time, in a forgotten age, there lived a man named Inu-Nu, known for his remarkable beauty. From the moment he was born, his mother proclaimed him to be the fairest of them all, and as he grew older, the other girls of the tribe agreed with her judgment. Inu-Nu, however, was not a man of great strength or speed, nor was he a skilled fisherman or hunter like the other men of the tribe. Instead, he possessed a rare gift - the ability to speak to people's hearts, to bring joy and peace into their lives.
Inu-Nu's days were spent assisting the shaman, lending his voice to the tribe's songs, and resolving disputes among his fellow tribesmen. Sometimes, he would find himself on the receiving end of a beating from those stronger and faster than him, or he would run away from jealous suitors who believed he was more beautiful than they. But through it all, Inu-Nu always managed to find a way to bring about peace or at least prevent further enmity. Although many believed him to be the most handsome man in the tribe, Inu-Nu himself did not feel the need to pursue the affections of the girls. While he could easily charm them and assist them with their daily tasks, his heart did not yearn for the love of a woman, and he could not understand why other men felt such desire.
However, everything changed one fateful day when Inu-Nu experienced love for the first time. It was not with a girl, but with his old friend from the hunters, Beardu. Among the hunters and fishermen, Inu-Nu had few friends. They found him amusing and clever, but also peculiar, and so they kept their distance. Inu-Nu allowed them to do so, but there was one friend who had been with him since their youth - Beardu, a great hunter known for his speed, strength, and skill with a spear. Inu-Nu cherished the moments spent with this mighty companion, and one day, he decided to create a special gift for him.
Long ago, Inu-Nu's mother had warned him about the dangers of eating fruits that had lain on the ground for too long. Curious as a child, he had secretly experimented with such fruits, finding their effects rather amusing at first. However, the next morning, he fell ill and was punished by his mother for his disobedience. Yet, the sensation lingered in his memory, and over the years, he continued to experiment with various fruits, herbs, and plants in secret. Gathering fruits from the forest was one of his tasks, and he excelled at it, always ensuring he had a supply for his experiments.
One day, Inu-Nu stumbled upon an intriguing discovery. Observing a bear's attempt to retrieve a nest of buzzing creatures, he risked painful bites to steal a portion of that nest. Within it, he found a substance akin to liquid tree resin, glowing like ember and exuding a sweetness unlike anything he had ever tasted. To his delight, this substance, which he named Dion, enhanced the potency of his secret potions. Inu-Nu called his drink Dion in honor of the sweet substance he found by chance in a nest of evil insects. With great excitement, he invited Beardu to his secret place one evening, sharing with him the story of his hidden project. Together, they drank the nectar of Dion and engaged in heartfelt conversation as the sun descended beneath the horizon and the jug with the drink got empty. Beardu finally confessed to his friend and himself how he couldn't find any woman for himself, how he couldn't feel attraction to them. It was in this secret palce that they both made love for the first time, finally realizing the depth of their love for one another. And finally understood, why they couldn't find any girl to love, because they both loved men.
The tribe reacted coldly to this unconventional union. They said that a man with another man could not produce children, and some even found their love to be too odd, responding with hostility. However, two factors played in their favor, allowing them to remain within the tribe and each other. Beardu, being the greatest warrior and hunter, challenged and defeated all who opposed him and his union. Inu-Nu, on the other hand, was the shaman's apprentice and, with his friend's persuasion, shared his invention, Dion, with the tribe during the sacred week. This extraordinary elixir brought forth unparalleled joy and revelry, as the tribe danced and conversed like never before. Inu-Nu crafted various types of Dion to suit everyone's taste, even preparing a special jug as an offering to the spirits. It was during this time that he earned the nickname Dionysus - the one who brings Dion, the bringer of joy and celebration. And so, Inu-Nu and Beardu's love became a legend, forever etched in the annals of their tribe.

Just sudden insparation I've got while reading this quest made me create this small story.
