5. In the winter of 1198-1199, the Lithuanians and Polotsk people attacked the Novgorod fortress of Velikiye Luki, burned it and plundered the surrounding area. In response, a large army of Novgorodians, Pskovians, Ladoga people, and Novotorzhians went to Polotsk. The Polotsk people, in order to prevent the devastation of their lands, sent ambassadors who met this army near Lake Kasplya, having appeased the Novgorod prince with gifts and money.
6. In 1201, when Lithuania went against the Semigallians, Vladimir invaded Lithuania and forced the Lithuanians to return to their borders.
7. In 1203, Prince Vladimir invaded Livonia. Probably, his army consisted of his own squad and the squads of princes Vsevolod Gersiksky and Vyachko Kukeinossky. They captured the castle of Ixkül for a short time and forced the local Livs to resume paying the annual tribute to Polotsk. However, at the Golm fortress the Polotsk people suffered a defeat: the German knights wounded many of the Polotsk people's horses with their bows, which is why they did not risk crossing the Dvina under fire and retreated. But Vsevolod Gersiksky and the Lithuanians attacked Riga and plundered the outskirts of Riga.
