Of Stolen Valor and Copied Flesh (A Clone Primarch 40k Quest)

[] The Night Haunter

Neat premise. As for the choice?
Sanguinius is just a cruel pick. Especially for the Blood Angels. They still have his corps in their basement. What are we gonna do? Look at our dead original, contemplating our existence? It's... as cool as it could be, I feel like this would absolutely break the Blood Angels in a schism.

Angron would be interesting, but his soul belongs to Khorme, same with Fulgrim, and I faintly remember some theories/ideas about this either influencing the clone or at least keeping them from obtaining their whole power. Same goes for Lorgar the Bitch.

Which leaves me with Ferrus or Konrad.

Between the two I enjoy Konrad more.
There's just not a lot about Ferrus, but it could lead to an interesting redemption arc with the real Fulgrim.

Konrad... not gonna lie there's nothing to redeem about the Night Lords. The current iteration are murder hobos that, while not as influenced by Chaos, are still absolutely insane by any standard. Gathering the tattered warbands and striving for something new could be interesting.

For the lulz.

Edit:
Fuck it. For the drama.

[X] The Great Angel

Any path to save those guys fron the Black Rage and the Red Thirst is worth it.

My beautiful , poor , sad Chapters of the Blood , we need to bring confort and peace to them now !
Motherly confort to the most handsome Legion , potential sisterly advice to the Lion and Guiliman , a bright symbol of hope for the Imperium

Truly our clone primarch shall be the most powerfull thing to ever exist in the 40k a... caring mother, just look at gorrilaman's mom and how he turned out

Which Primarch is Which
I have realized that by going by Titles instead of names I may have made things more confusing then need be, my apologies. Let me Fix that

The Phoenician
Fulgrim, Primarch of the Emperor's Children. Original Self is a Daemon Primarch of Slaanesh.

The Night Haunter
Konrad Cruze, Primarch of the Night Lords, Original Self is quite dead and missing their head.

The Lord of the Red Sands
Angron, Primarch of the World Eaters, Original Self is a Daemon Primarch of Khorne.

The Urizen
Lorgar, Primarch of the Word Bearers, Original Self is hiding away in their temple after getting their ass kicked by a bird.

The Warmaster
Horus, Primarch of the Luna Wolves/Sons of Horus/ Black Legion, as dead as dead can be. Just like his clone.

The Gorgon
Ferrus Manus, Primarch of the Iron Hands (Yes that is redunant), also dead and missing their head.

The Great Angel
Sanguinius, Primarch of the Blood Angels, Murdered by Horus.

Ladies, enbies, gentlemen, and sanctioned abhumans of the jury... Let me present a case as to what I think is the most interesting choice for this quest.

[X] The Urizen

You may ask: "Why Lorgar? I hate that guy!" and that is precisely the thing. Lorgar is a very hateable character, being in great part the architech of the Horus Heresy, the first Primarch to fall, and so on and so forth - but he is not a bad character, by any means. His fall is perhaps one of the most drawn out and thoughtful of them all. Chaos is indeed a fundamental force of the universe, one Big E was denying its existence. In his own words - "all I ever wanted was the truth".

Now! We may disagree with him. And that's fine! He's a bad guy. An antagonist. But something not many take into account is that Lorgar not only messed the Imperium real bad in the Heresy - he also laid the foundations for the Imperial Cult! He literally penned the Lectio Divinitatus, the holy book around which all religion in the Imperium is organised! So every act of zealotry, every ignorant book burning, every close-minded dogma... It's also Lorgar's fault!

And now, the matter of the Clone. The Primarch's original fall was a thing of circumstance - Colchis itself, Erebus being present, his upbringing, Monarchia, his musings about the divinity of the emperor, his encounters with chaos entities. But this isn't factor here, not for now. Instead, we have a "pure" Lorgar. An orator, a philosopher, a thinker. One that is now steeped in an era of religious fervor, and darkness. There's many paths such a primarch clone would take. They could become a fiery prophet, renewing the imperial faith. They could see the folly of belief, and try to restore the Imperial Truth as it once was - scientific and rationalist. And most importantly, they will have to contend with a universe which is in its vast majority, his original selves' fault. Every act of chaos, and every act of the Imperium - it's all tainted by Lorgar. He is by far the most influential Primarch in Imperial History, even if never at the forefront. Not only that but their unique skillset as an orator or leader will let us by far obtain the greatest following, and open up a lot of opportunities a mere lonely rogue primarch would take decades to achieve.

Clone Lorgar is the flickering candlelight in a sea of darkness. Let your devotion carry you through, to salvation or damnation.

Consider changing your vote to The Urizen, if you find these words compelling.

[X] Man

I'll be brief: I like men.

Clone Lorgar leading a push against dogmatic religious ignorance sounds like a fun twist on him.

[X] The Urizen

I mean big e is a god, lorgar was right. Don't cha want to be playing someone who was and is right? Pretty based imo.

I like the energy of Clone Lorgar, and the irony of a clone of the guy responsible for the most things going wrong in-setting short of Big E or Erebus being the sanest human left in the galaxy. But I also like the idea of not getting instantly dogpiled by every single Imperial or Chaos-aligned faction with any records of the Heresy on-sight, so lady it is.

Angron is undoubtedly my favorite Primarch, even tho it seems female Sanguinius will win.

Not that i'm really complaining, I mean it's Sanguinius.
