Of Stolen Valor and Copied Flesh (A Clone Primarch 40k Quest)

Personally, I don't think it's a good idea to vote for Night Lords, at least, not a good idea considering our current situation. We can change them, but people really shouldn't overestimate the influence of Primarchs. There were Loyalists and Traitors in all Legions for a reason. And for people claiming that Corax changed his Legion, he did, by kicking out everyone who didn't want the 19th Legion to be better.
And to be fair to Kurze, she's also not trying to reform a legion. I'd be willing to bank on the Primarch connection being strong enough to change a couple of squads, especially when they'd be under her direct supervision.

Tally as it stands.

We can change them, but it probably be a long-term process and quite difficult. Also, I just want the Tau. They could unironically be of great help, by virtue of having practical experience living in a functional multi-species society. Not ideal society by any means, but definitely a functional one.
I'd like to see the men of Tanith because they're stealth experts that we can likely impart a lot of our knowledge to. It'll be easier to work with them than having to train some randoms from scratch.

[X] Plan: Past and Future

I wanna see my Tanith boys, plus this way we get delicious family drama with all the night lords having to deal with us.

Personally I'm worried that any of Imperium heavy group is going to lead to whatever it is that Girlrad ends up creating being a legally distinct Imperium. I mean, have you seen how flay-happy she was? I feel like we'd be struggling to have her chill with little-big sis Pandora from A Song of Peace in her retinue and she unangried Angron.

Putting Girlrad in a room where half the folks are from Nostromo and half the major players consist of an Inquisitor and a senior space marine that agreed with her worst tendencies and is not liable to question any ill advised choices that she makes, seems like a bad idea. I feel like in that situation, she's going to be naturally drawn towards going back to the way she was back in the old days, sans the utter insanity.

So you're going to completely disregard any sort of agency from Konrad's part, or the players of this quest. That is… certainly a take.

Inquisition: "Can't deny that's pretty dope. Are you often here?"

As much as I like the Tau on tabletop, they are just extremely uninteresting story wise. You either get the version of them that doesn't fit into 40k or their "updated" society in which they are all brainwashed drones serving the Ethereals.

I'm honestly not sure what we are supposed to do with them. I guess they could serve as a bridge to trade with their "Empire" if we are truly set on going Renegade. Hm...

Issue is that they are extremely limited in travel options and knowing what the Dusk Raiders' job was during their time in the Great Crusade (extermination), I'm fairly sure that's going to lead to some issues down the line.

On the other hand, the Magos Biologis would be crucial in building our Legion if we could win his loyalty.

Also, T'au have caste-based Society, so there is 90+% chance that our "T'au squads" are solely made of Fire Warriors (and nothing else)

Are you saying that voting for a choice with the intention of prompting a character to change their worldview is a disregarding of their agency? Or are you saying that I am disregarding Konrad's own opinions and ability to make decisions?

If so, I'm not. My worries came into existence precisely because of Konrad's character as displayed in the past update, which was not critical of her own past actions and regularly considered flaying to be the solution to any minor dissent. She doesn't read to me as a person that would fail to return to being 30K Curze if left to her own devices. If anything I'm concerned of Konrad's agency.

And I think it's a bit much to conclude that my saying that stacking Kondrad's company with people in favor of brutal terror tactics, will incline the character to prefer such approaches and may make taking choices that run contrary to that more difficult mechanically as disregard for player choice. Choices that are made in quests have consequences. My saying one choice may result in consequences that make taking other choices more difficult being classified as disregard for player choice is ludicrous.

I will say that there will be plenty of time for her to rethink her opinions and such. She has a great many doubts at the moment but her mindset is still very much aligned with Cruze's more base instinicts.

Except, in "updated" version, they aren't brainwashed. Farsight still exists, and there are mentions of T'au going against Ethereals wishes. Also, I don't think it's a good idea to say that T'au will be uninteresting, Teen Spirit, mentioned multiple times that he didn't add certain options, such as Magnus, because he had no idea what to do with them or wasn't confident in telling a story with them. So there's a plan for T'au, they will influence the story just as much as would Eldars or Night Lords or Custodes if we choose them. I don't think it's good idea to disregard them from the start by generalizing them as "uninteresting story wise".

Also, T'au have caste-based Society, so there is 90+% chance that our "T'au squads" are solely made of Fire Warriors (and nothing else)
They can also have some other species here, like Kroot or Vespids, and if we are lucky maybe Air Caste pilot and Earth Caste engineer who was repairing stuff on the battlefield. Also, still, they have practical experience, living in multi-species society like I said. Just because they can't give us detailed instructions about how such society worsk exactly from top to bottom, doesn't mean they can't offer insight, in how to cooperate with various different Sapients. Also, they can offer us insight into tactics and way of doing warfare vastly different from Imperium.

Might as well argue that we shouldn't get Night Lords, because...They Night Lords and nothing else.

And to be fair to Kurze, she's also not trying to reform a legion. I'd be willing to bank on the Primarch connection being strong enough to change a couple of squads, especially when they'd be under her direct supervision.
Again, that's what I'm talking about. Primarch connection is not mind-control. Primarchs can't just rewrite the mind of a Marine, otherwise guys like Rylanor wouldn't be a thing. Corax wasn't able to tell Pale Nomads to just change and he had to just get rid off of those who didn't agree with his changes to the Legion way of conducting operations and war.

Again, I'm not saying we flat out, can't change them, I just doubt Teen Spirit, give us a option with Pre-Heresy Night Lords, with our own main character remarking how said group of Night Lords is composed solely from murderers, rapists and thevies straight out of Nostramo, only for nothing to happen, because our character will just rewrite their personalities with our presence. They will be loyal to us, this we also know, but that doesn't mean they will just mindlessly to what we demand from them.

We can change them but it wouldn't be a issue that we can just resolve in few moments. That's why I don't think it's worth to take them, considering our current situation, we have better things to do, than having to rehabilitate post-human rapists and murderers, so they stop skinning people as the go to solution to every problem.

[] Captain Jexad Fel
- Not all who came from your sunless homeworld were murders and rapists. Not all had poisoned your legion. When the Emperor first found you the, first recruits from Nostramo your legion took in where proud sons of nobles and others who had grown up under your peaceful and enlightened rule. Of course, the Great Crusade being what it was meant most of those first recruits died long ago, replaced by the filth that had so infested your legion by the end. Fel was one of these first, Captain of the 11th Company. He had been lost with most of his company during the Rangdan Xenocides and you couldn't help but feel more than a bit outraged that this xeno thief had stolen some of your legion out from under your nose. Fel had been a decent leader, a firm believer in your vision for the imperium and someone who understood your tactics far better than those that came after. As he stood there, clad in terminator armor, starring at you in disbelief, you wondered what he would think of what had become of both the Legion and the Imperium.

Putting Girlrad in a room where half the folks are from Nostromo and half the major players consist of an Inquisitor and a senior space marine that agreed with her worst tendencies and is not liable to question any ill advised choices that she makes,
Point of order, the Captain is explicitly one of the genuinely good marines who wasn't a monster (beyond whatever they did during the Great Crusade I guess). He's probably one of the best options for helping Connie find a better mindset and route for the Night Lords.

I do wish Past and future picked the Magos instead of the Inquisitor, but on the other hand maybe it would be good for us to see a prime example of what the Imperium's turned into before we reach the wider galaxy.

[x] Plan: The Renegade

Ah female primarch quest? Now I am interested.
Ah, if you just found the quest, Plan: The Altered Renegade is the final version of my plan. It dropped the Inquisitor for the Aelderi Warlock in a compromise with the Blorbo plan which was very similar. In fact, since no one voted for the whole Renegade plan your plan title is all that appears in the tally.

Got it, changed by vote accordingly, honestly a mixed xeno and human force could be very cool.

I think he was killed by Robby G on Luna and Omegle is still alive. But it's Alpha Legion, so who knows what the hell the truth is
Actually it was Rogal Dorn that cut Alpharius in half (Proving why he's one of the best Primarchs), and Omegon was loyalist.

Supposedly of course, but it's the most official explanation we've gotten and i'm of the strong opinion that it's true.
